My favorite is Star Wars pinball by far. The game room is cool to decorate, the jukebox is awesome and the characters next to the table are really cool. The fact you can zoom in right above the flippers is crazy when the effects are happening.
I picked up a few tables in the winter sale just so I could play them using this mod. Zen has profited from me through someone else's work. They really need to add native VR support. I don't need the game related objects floating around me like in FX2 VR. Just a plain room with these awesome looking tables would suit me fine... Come on Zen bring it on.
Does this have the same issue it has when I played it in anaglyph, and that most objects still appear relatively flat? I'm using reshade superDepth3d and while it works great, the engine in game is just causing it not to. I'm going to try out vpx tonight as I hear it's 100x better in 3d
6 months after apple vision, it will probably release there in vr. Then 18 months later after that it will come to psvr 2 , THEN the hard work can begin , 2 years of alpha, zen will formally announce the hardest to make pc version will be entering beta ...soon
I have a serious problem with the way these tables are being presented without their backboxes. Also, these UIs plastered all over the place is highly annoying. It's no wonder they never released this, yet. It's not "done", yet. LOL However, I have been enjoying the Pinball FX Zen released last year. Only a few tables, but they're complete, and have beautiful environments, like what's being shown here. Yeah, it's long past time pinball became a reality in VR. Same for general arcade halls in VR. Thank you very much for doing this video. :)
Yeah, Mel said new VR would come in 2024. I just hope they don't do a repeat of FX2 VR and Star Wars VR where they only release a portion of the collection and call it a day. We need EVERYTHING, maybe not all at once, but a committment to do just that. We've suggested the community would be just fine playing in their lobby with all their trophies and collectibles on the shelves, no need for bespoke environments, but there's where the licensing kicks in. A lot of the IP holders want bespoke rooms and environments, and that costs Zen in time and development. Frustrating for sure. Hopefully another 3rd party will create something to standardize your VR positioning so you don't have to keep futzing with adjustments every table in the meantime.
Agreed 👍 - just playing in the lobby would have been fine. I appreciate the licensing considerations however they have dropped the ball and are missing the VR window to market. VPX has shot ahead and now a third party injection allows for these tables to be playable in VR for free. Opportunities missed left and right.
Is there a tutorial anywhere on HOW to do it. You start out already in it 🤷♂️ Got the UEVR installed and it recognizes the game when open but now what ? Are you using open source or steam vr ? I appreciate any help at all in the right direction because this looks amazing!!
Open UEVR and then PinballFX. Open a PinballFX table. Switch to UEVR and select PinballFX from the drop down list. Click the inject button. You should go straight into VR. I'm on a HP Reverb 2 so this sequence works for me.
Hey mate I have an Intel 12900KF running at 5GHZ and a RTX3080 with a HP Reverb G2 VR headset. I'm unfamiliar with other headset performance requirements so I can't really advise except that I know some people can get VR going on a 1080Ti so a 2080Ti should do the business. I would recommend doing further research on this however as I can't be certain for sure. Cheers
I'm using a old Pinball Wizard controller - I got it from ozstick but they don't sell them anymore. Another link for reference: www.nanotechgaming.com/pinball-wizard.php
Tried on a Pico 4 using wireless Desktop Assistant, just keeps crashing and very very jerky definitely not playable, I'm running on a Nitro 5 I7 laptop with a 3060 and 16gb ram so not sure what I'm doing wrong? Also the UEVRBackend.dll keeps getting deleted somehow :/
I'm not familiar with all the options on the Pico 4 to config display rendering quality. I would suggest you need to find out what options there are and lower the resolution to see if this helps. The deletion of UEVRBackend.DLL is likely being done by your Virus Protection software as a false positive. If you are comfortable trusting the software you should exclude it in your virus protection settings so it doesn't keep quarantining it.
If any DLL file ends up missing it’s because of either your virus program or firewall blocking it. Turn off both of them reinstall then before turning them back on make an exception in your firewall for it and allow it in your virus program and you should be good.
The fact that they released Pinball FX 2 VR way back in 2016 leaves me shaking my head as to why they didn't continue down that path. They really missed an opportunity that VPX VR filled nicely at no cost.
FX2 VR was only Zen Originals and about 4 licensed tables. Big name licensors considered VR a completely different category compared to consoles. For example, Williams probably wants their own app much like Stern wanted their own.
@@pinballwiz45b Yep as you are well aware the licensing is a big sticking point and has lots of nuances. With the right strategies, these can be overcome. However if profit margins from ownership changes becomes the driving factor, companies like Zen lose the essence of what made them popular in the first place. There is no single right strategy but opportunities lost none-the less. Hindsight is however a wonderful thing.
@@pinballwiz45b That's true but Zen still has a bunch of their own tables that could have been ported to VR with no licensing issues or further royalties.
FX crew can be maddening the way they do things over there. The Star Wars VR was just an absolute abortion. Just an absolute rip off. You would think this would’ve just released with that option. I’m sure if FX does release VR,… you’ll be paying for it. They have become just another greedy game creator in a long list.

I wish they will implement this in-game. It works already so well
If they released an updated version for quest 3 with pass through technology, I would,d buy the tables again 😅
I think the Y button on the controller scrolls through different camera options.

Oh boy....how right you probably are.....😬
Finally got it working but holy crap the constant lag/stutter… tried messing with my settings/resolution for days and cannot get it to play smooth.

Hello.. is it possible to use the glasses controls to play pinaball? thank you

How do you play this in VR?
I tried fx today. And williams tables works best
What spec is your PC and Headset.
I have 2080Ti and valve headset are those up to this. Thanks

Same problem here, with Quest 3, Virtual desktop. Which launcher for VR are you using? Virtual desktop, Steam link, oculus link?

@@Fontgod 10, at most. Plus, FX2 VR was built using their in-house engine, not Unreal.
