Not really. Real Steel had robots mimicking your movements in a boxing match, not gladiator mechs. This is more like Robot Jox.
@@OkayYaraman Well, many of the robots in Real Steel were controlled by computer panels, even Atom from the beginning, but later he imitated movement. I agree about the manual hand controls, but in Robot Jox the robots they use to fight are enormous! almost like Pacific Rim style.

This game legit has the best art direction I've seen so far in any quest VR game, glad we're finally getting real games on there
This cannot be overstated, the art direction is a true example of how to do vr games without breaking the budget on 3D assets. The background art and how it handles scale is some of the best in vr.
@@myhondoz. Agreed, it reminds me of some mobile game developers who also make amazing games with the same comic book art style, i really didn’t think I’d like it as much as I do but it works so well in VR

Hey wolf I just want to let you know that I am a viewer of your content now for about three and a half years I can see so I know for a fact that you can see that your viewership is down From what it was a few years ago.
But I wanted to say the reason that I've been viewing your content for so long is because I love the way you make videos I think you're one of if not the only TH-cam VR Creator on the planet that isn't trying to appeal to a children's audience you're not a screamer you're very calm compared to your fellow VR TH-camrs such as Josh dubs And other content creators.
the sad truth though is VR at the moment is full of kids But hopefully with the quest 3 and pc vr becoming more available that will shift I hope until then you keep making your content because I mean it seriously you are one of the only TH-camrs that an adult audience can actually watch without getting a headache

Just got this game and absolutely loving it. If for anything else, it got great music. But this is prime example how to do arena rooms instead of something like Battle Talent done - Do away with Dungeon Crawling part and make Dungeon Challenge mode separate from the main mode, that became room arenas after arenas which is boring and grindy. This is Roguelite type of game, where even if you die and have to start from beginning, it was still worthwhile since you unlock new weapons and gadgets (still have to buy them in game) to upgrade your mech. That's pretty awesome idea and reasonably not immersion breaking.

As much as I love mechs, using them for war never made much sense. Nice to se them being used for other reasons, even if it still doesn't make a lot of sense. There must be insane money - or mechs are really cheap - in robot fighting to make this worth it. Imagine a real world equivalent where people buy old tanks and just drive around shooting at each other.

Piloting a mech sounds like something built for VR but for some reason this felt just like another arena combat game with roguelike power ups. Not saying the game is bad by any means but was expecting something more for some reason. Maybe the build up / progression just feels slow because of the RPG elements in between the combat sequences. Hopefully there is more to the combat then just grabbing and basic melee swings are sorta just standard VR mechanics nowadays.
You clearly haven't played this game. The combat even with just the basic Boulder hands is so much better than all these vr games

I like the graphical style, but is it me or is it in-game extremely jagged.. man it just doesn't look appealing in-game, at all..
I have the game, in VR doesn’t look jagged. Maybe it seems that way just from recording candid gameplay.
@@myhondoz I have the game aswell. And it is very jagged in VR for me. And apparently others too. I had contact with the devs, and i'they acknowledged it. It's just the way it is, with the minimalistic graphical style, a lot of contrast in light and dark. That and the lack of anti-aliasing makes those jagged edges really stand out.
The wobbly VR perspective is unpleasant 🤢
