I have a2007 ktm 990 superduke. I had a stroke, I’m recovering so I got the 2024 ktm 390 duke because it is crazy light and it got a lot of great reviews. It’s all true. Rides excellent on the back roads, plenty of power on the back roads and enough on the freeway.my full strength is back so now I can ride the 990 and would like to get the new lighter 990. The 390 is pretty impressive with the power and profit an e it delivers. Definitely a keeper.
It is true that here in the states we CAN just hop on any bike after we get a permit, most people are not stupid enough to start on anything larger than a 700. Most riders learn on a 500 or lower. Rebels and groms are more popular for learners in the USA.
@@MTOVZN many people have 1000cc sport bikes and ride them but they usually have at least a few years under the belt. I don't know anyone that started on one of these. 1000cc cruisers are different, it is not unheard of for people to start on them. Of course you do have fools anywhere you go. These are generalizations not a statement of fact. Also remember we have huge differences from state to state. What is true for me in upstate NY may not be valid in Alabama or even NYC for that matter.
"Out the door" price is a USA thing. There's the price of the bike, PLUS other charges (sales tax, registrations, etc.) EQUALS the price "out the door."
good parts: very lightweight and affordable, comes with an up/down quickshifter bad parts: jerky at low rmp because of single cylinder and has some vibration issues nice bike but in the price class i'd sooner go for a cfmoto 450NK or a kawa z500.
I seem to have got some of the camera settings wrong, wooops
Did you manage to get the camera settings right? i have the same camera and would love some help
The mk1 belly pan exhaust looks so much better. I love mine.
ahh brings back memories, this was the bike i got my red p's on until i upgraded to the mt09
Would be a great first bike!

Aw, that's a stunning bike!
I agree!
this is definitely one of the best bikes
It’s very fun!
Know nothing about bikes but orange is a nice colour! 🧡🤣👍
Hahah exactly!
Hoping to get a duke 390 soon, when I get my a2 :)
Well worth it!
I was thinking of doing the same but waiting to have the money to do a 4 day course rather than mess around with a 125cc

Maybe it’s just the TH-cam bikers that all hop on 1000s 😂
