Thanks Jarrod for touring this van! I love the automation and the way that they chose to build using 80/20 and epoxy counters. We used some of the same techniques and are using Home Assistant in our build too.. I am really excited to see what Mike and Char post on their channel as they are light years ahead of me with their integrations.
OMG!!! Epic, brilliant, beautiful build! Absolutely mind blowing in every single way. Char, I want to meet you too! Jarrod, thank you so much for all the work you've done over the years to show us such truly amazing builds!
I LOVE the counter!!!!!!! I also love the wallpaper. Since heat rises, it's so nice to see drawer-style fridges. The others waste so much cold air when you open them. I love the pink the most.
UN -- Real!!! Thought this was gonna be "another Sprinter", bit of a drag --- boy was I wrong! Amazing, well thought out and practical set-up. Obviously *oppulent* but all with a purpose. Congrats Mike and Char!! I guessed the bear and owl right, although the hint Mike dropped confirmed it for me. Great tour Jarrod! Cheers!...from North Vancouver
I'm planning my trip to Nomadik now. If Mike can to the brainy stuff retro, that would be wild! And if anybody can do a central vacuum, its Mike. Great tour, Jarrod.
Awesome van build. Great video. If they've thought of all of this, they've thought of a second safe storage. Again, great video, and great couple. Maybe we're one step closer to the very practical man bun being destigmatized.
Wwooooowwweeeee!! Absolutely awesome 👌🏽 wish more vans would include security like this. If nomadic custom would include this in some of their builds... God damn lollll
More info on Van kits would be appreciated.....bed kits, ceiling/roof kit, sub and main floor kit, wall kits, plumbing kit, Elec Kit......with ur company or ability to mis and match kits from multiple suppliers.
Dammit you beat me to it. I’ve been planning out a smart van. Using home kit and home assistant. I make my own esp32 sensors that I am adapting to do sensing in a van and also plugging in to canbus to get the van info.
thats actually pretty easy to do now. gypsum wallboard has a fire rating, but probably wouldnt withstand road travel. HOWEVER. vanlifers and schoolies dont need to worry about that because there is fire retardant plywood. you just have to remember that holes will reduce that fire rating, you can get sealant, but its expensive and messy, but this stuff is generally designed to survive for at least 2 hours and to keep smoke from spreading, if you keep your holes small in a smaller space, there is a chance that you will be able to get out safely in the event of a fire, but as long as you avoid using the spicy pillows you should be fine
In practice, one simply grabs the hotmits and throws the smoking device outside. What’s not going to happen is grabbing your house batteries and throwing them out if on fire, as much as we’d like to vs the van burning. Lots of things are ideal, vans are all about tradeoffs and calculated risk.
Love the tech!! Nothing on TH-cam channel ?? 😢 I want to automate the air up and down tires. I know some high end cars have it so if he has this I need it!!. Whwre can I reach him??

What about components that need ventilation?

i knew home assistant was powerful, but while i figured you could do some sort of input control, i wasnt sure how it would be done
Oh yes!😳
for the "safe", just take out the drawer on top, boom you have access
❤❤❤❤
awesome!!
Do you have a video or more infomation on setting up the Home Assist display ?
Why I shared his TH-cam channel
Love the tech!! Nothing on TH-cam channel ?? 😢
