    The health bug is something I've encountered. I think it's where the game thinks you've got an injured limb, but you are at full health, and you can't stim unless you are missing some health. The easiest fix I've used for it is just jumping off a small hill to take a bit of damage, and then I'm able to stim again.

      I've also experienced it. I think it may happen with some specific timing when you're diving and stimming.

      this glitch stems from the green spikey ball plants called shrapnel ferns. they explode like the puffball mushrooms, and they will imbed themselves in your person its a glitch im sure of that but it happens often with these plants.

      Not sure that's a "BUG" .... I think that's 100% intended... that's the negative of that bush plant ... needles go into you and prevent you from Stimming unless you were damaged already.

      @@Nimootreason im saying its a glitch is because its supposed to give you a bleeding chest, which causes bleedout, but the bleedout does not work with certain armors but the effect itself only causes the bleed to be shown on the healthbar but the actual bleedout effect is absent.
      If this is somehow supposed to be a different effect id like to know where i could find information since the very little amount of lore is always cool to read into :)

    Commissars start the reinforcement call, but if you kill them, their call order may be transferred to the other grunts in their patrol. so the ideal order to take them out is Commissar first, then other small fries.

    With the extraction method demonstrated in this run, after hiding and waiting, you also have the option of running away from the extraction zone once the pelican has committed to landing based on the audio queues, this will also cause the pelican to hover over the extraction zone blasting away at all of the enemies in the area while you then make your way back in when ready.

    20:56 I think this explains why I can only consistently Solo bug level 5 or 6 missions...
    I go around the map in a circle destroying EVERY bug nest / side objective / POI that I can get near.
    By the end I am usually completely overwhelmed by bugs and constantly under attack.

      Same. I just found out that destroying factories/bug holes increases the amount of patrols and I finally got my answer as to why near the end of a mission I have to fight for my life just to get TO the extract point lol also, the main objectives increase it the most so always do them last

    Loved the video. If you want to bait a patrol, sacrificing a resupply or other blue support stratagem works a charm. I thought a dev said grenades got changed so they just give away your position, same as if you had fired a rocket. They seem to work at the end for you though. When I get the red&full health glitch, I fix it by diving off a cliff to hurt myself and stim. You're simultaneously bleeding out and not

    The bug happened at 25:16 once you got knocked down to the floor but did not loose any health so the game counted you as being 100% HP thus not being able to stim. Happened to me a few times

      Yeah, those "fake chest wounds" (Health bar is red and you will not regen stamina, but you do not actually get a wound icon or bleed health) are really annoying. Usually seems to coincide with shots getting absorbed by cover but knocking you down anyway - Like something with the hit detection is broken, or like the server/host refuses to validate a hit and "rubberbands" the damage but not some parts of the wound state.
      Luckily, you can get rid of it by taking damage for real and then stimming.

    When I can afford it in a slot, my favorite stratagem for Automatons is the Orbital Laser. Sneak up to the base wall, toss it in, let the laser wreck havoc while you are backing off. Then you can move in to finish the rest. Really good deal on missions where you need to destroy resources. It easily wipes out the majority of the camp and usually one or two of the ammo stacks.

    i have had many instances of the small robots with black heads calling in bot drops but the commisars are just more likely to do it hence why people think its only the commisars.
    apparently someone tested the "heat mechanic"(patrol spawn rates) that it only increases when you do main objectives or take out medium or heavy outposts while acording to the video nothing changes when you take the small ones out, sub-objectives(blue mission icons) do not increase patrol spawn rates acording to the video.

    2 days into playing helldivers 2 against Automatons, I agree with you that aggro-control, picking your fights wisely and knowing when to run is a vital skill for survival. The fights can escalate suddenly, and you can easily find yourself overwhelmed.

    The health and stamina bug is related to those plants with the spiked balls on them. If a bot shoots one near you they explode and poison you until you stim but occasionally they bug out. If it happens I usually face dive off of a rock or something to take a little bit of damage to allow a stim.

    If you're using scout armor, I just want to mention, if you pin drop on the map with scout armor, it should also reveal any enemies in that vicinity.

    Solid game play brother, nice tactics. One thing though, you can take out striders in one hit with anti material rifle, if you look closely, there is a slit on the front of the strider for the robot controlling it to see out of. One shot through that slit will hit the robot in the face and take it out.

    Fun fact abkut aa sites, they'll actually shoot at Arial enemies. Like drop ships :)
    Also, i enjoy using the redeemer in single. That 50 bullet clip seems to last forever when the small guys only need a few hits to be knocked out.

    On the one hand its really counterintuitive that the more nests/fabricators you destroy the more enemies will spawn.
    On the other hand it makes sense, given that the enemy would surely send out more troops the more damage an area recieves.

    18:53 Every little bots can call in bot drops. I’ve seen marauders called for one, I’ve seen rocket raiders called for one, even machine gun raiders can call them too if they are the only ones around. It’s just that the commissars are the first in the group to shoot the flare if you encounter them.

    That was weird when you couldn't stim/no stam recharge/were "bleeding out" from a chest wound with no injury indicator on the hud. It ended when you got ragdoll'd, maybe that means until then the game thought you were in a rag doll state too? Just a theory.

    at 6 minutes you were waiting for the resupply with an 80% full autogun with 7/10 clips - you can shoot your spare shots off into the sky to get to 50%, reload to use 6/10 clips, and then resupply. Slightly more efficient

    I wish people saw this video more, I can solo automatons, but playing with people, which I find to be more fun, they just engage everything they see, ignore voice chat and just get us overun... some peole cant understand that different factions play differently, sure have fun with the game, but not lasting more than a few minutes cant be fun

    This is a great video and I agree with everything except the marksman rifle assessment. Before the Las-16 Sickle came out the diligence was my main weapon for bots. It has excellent range due to the high muzzle velocity and it usually one to two taps every small bot and if you can hit your headshots against devistators. I think the slugger is even but this is purely personal preference and I understand that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. The diligence does require some getting used to.

    Stim glitch is from the vitality booster if I'm not mistaken. You're bleeding (red health bar), but not taking damage, preventing your stamina-regen though. Since you're not missing any hp you can't stim against it. It's a bug that needs to be fixed.

    imho the diligence rifle is pretty phenominal at cleaning up bot trash at any range, and with the autocannon crushing middle/heavy targets, its a pretty good pair.

    I think you're underestimating the Diligence, the regular one, not the counter-sniper variant, which is big downgrade to no benefit from the regular one. I've been using it against bots on solo helldive and against bots in general, it has a really nice scope, much higher fire rate than the slugger, and usually 1 taps little guys all the same, the scope makes it easy to headtap devastators from a distance, or mow down squadrons of little guys up close or far. Still perfectly usable in close-medium range in third person. The slugger is very good too though.
    Autocannon is definitely mvp for many reasons, railgun is also nice for 1 tapping hulks and devastators, but can't take striders head-on as conveniently, or blow up installations. I think I'd be more likely to take the slugger when I don't have an autocannon, since the two are overlapping a bit on staggering and 1-heading devastators on hit, but nothing really compares to how much work the autocannon does

    Actually AMR can 2 shot the ATRT's leg joint (1 shot if aimed for the pilot's head through its front plate), yet I'd totally agree Autocannon might generally be a better choice due to its versatility

    Yeah that bug where you can’t stim has happened to me a few times. What I do is just damage myself a bit and pop a stim afterwards and it fixes the problem. That’s if you have stumps to spare

    26:30 It happened to me like 4 times yesterday while playing with a friend, it seems your character is bleeding but not taking damage from the bleed to be able to stim but you are also bleeding so the stamina don't regen.
    We figured out you just need to take damage to be able to stim, suicide is not a must just an alternative solution.

    You can only stim at less than full health. i think there's health effects you can get without taking damage, for some reason. it happens to me and my group all the time. The "toe shot" is a common callout to fix this for us.

    For berserkers you have to aim a little bit higher above their head, to consistently 2 shot them with the slugger.

    Damn I need to train more. I’m stuck on medium (3) difficulty (solo) and have barely touched the bots. I’m still learning the game on bug planets. Level 15 but that’s just from playing a bunch of low level operations. I’m going to level 4 today to start getting better samples to upgrade my ship. I’m late to the helldivers party only had the game about a week playing a couple hours a night. But I just got the sickle and MAN besides the ramp up time to fire it’s amazing.

    I wonder if you've had any luck figuring out how to solo the escort personnel one, that mission feels terrible to do solo

    The "stim glitch" had happed with me once. You are actually on full health, that's why the stim doesn't work. But you healtbar is red and your acting like bleeding, though no health loss. Asoon as you get some injuries, you'll be able use stim and it will remove this stuck bleeding animation. :)

    Have you tried the breaker incendiary for the bugs. 25 round mag just so good for hunters.
    Taking notes XD.
    1. spawn at the edge of the map. Less likely to spawn in a point of interest/enemies.
    2. aim slightly above hulks eye
    3. spam dive alot against automatons. They are apparently bad at hitting diving targets. (personally I think dive gives you armor/dodge stat it works to well to just be geometry)
    4. try to make them peek first. (not sure on this one) prob more in line with holding cover and watching around the corner with 3rd person camera so you can quick peak n kill yourself. note - after watching more he seems to prefer to pull aggro of a camp then let them come to him single file so only one can shoot him at a time with the cover he is using.
    5. if you are getting flanked reposition. (kinda common sense. but still good non the less.)
    6. reload behind rock. lol
    7. take out the little guys so they can't call for reinforcement. the ones with the red glowey weapon are apparently the ones that do this.
    8. the greater amount of factories you take out the greater the amount of patrols are sent out. (if this is true its quite big.)
    9. check mini-map often and detour around red dots to make automatons easier. (extra range on radar would make this easier and he seems to sprint and only open it for long enough to get a ping then close it again to maintain speed.)
    10. With the automation's you can get into a death loop by continuously hellpoding into an overwelming battle instead of cutting your losses and running.
    11. can grenade mortar objectives. You don't need to hit the heat sink "with a penetration type weapon of course."
    12. patrols have a path that they follow. if they are coming towards you throw a grenade in a different direction to distract them to that area or reposition. they will keep going straight.

    With the stamina glitch it happens when the spike plants blow up and damage u. Since the spikes are in u it’s always gonna cause bleeding for awhile. Lol confused me when it happened too

    I've had that bug before. What happens is your health is full but it didn't clear the injured status. So you have to take a little bit of damage and then it will let you stim again.

    Just a heads up, the hit box isn’t off, (from my knowledge). What causes so much issues with hitting those shots is that the reticles themselves are off. For the AMR you should favor the top left of the reticle a bit more and you should be more precise.

    26:25 Yes. I don't know what causes it. Just jump off a small ledge and lose a bit of HP, then you can stim and go back to normal. 🤷

    That situation where you couldn’t stim I’ve had happen once, once I took a bit of damage it went back to normal. Think it’s caused when you’re stimming and taking damage at the exact same point.

    I think the stim glitch happens when you take a wound while stimming, and your health fills up, but the wound doesn't get cured. I've had it happen a couple times. You can't stim with full health, so you are just stuck until you take some damage.

    I think the slugger can one shot berserker if you shoot the head and get a good spread. Might depend on distance. I have done it several times but haven't thoroughly tested it.

    You talk about minimizing taking out factories to minimize spawns, but doing the primary is what increases spawn rate by far the most

    that bug where your HP bar was red but you couldnt stim or regain stamina happens to me a lot. I usually just nosedive off a rock to damage myself a little bit.

    I've noticed it's much harder to run from bots after the update on maps that aren't as cluttered by trees as Malevelon. They have better detection range and accuracy from a distance than before, and combined with the weaker armor feels like they unintentionally nerfed the stealth strategy on all of the flatter planets

    Commissar will shoot a flare when they see you, but if the commissar is dead than one of the other bots can shoot a flare but they take a while to decide to
    Since you aim for the smaller bots first that's probably why you haven't seen it try leaving one alive if you want to test it but that does of course mean risking a fight with a reinforcement pod

    I’ve had that stim bug happen a number of times I think the problem is sustaining an injury without losing health, once you lose health you can stim as normal

    Sadly, based on my experience, reinforcements can still get called during ion storms. So it only hurts you.
    Ever tried smoke grenades against bots? They've felt pretty good for me with a setup like yours where the impact grenade isn't as important.

    It's not like I've made an actual record, as I haven't played a _whole_ lot of maps with ion storms, but I've also noticed that there weren't any bot reinforcements during ion storms before.

    I’d assume the ion storm has some effect on the bots seeing as the tremors do and the aoe of the fire and meteors do too

    When it won't let you stim - dive off a rock, high enough to take a small amount of damage which will let you stim and fix it

    I love these more slow-paced, thought-through, types of gameplay. Going in guns blazing is fun for some shenanigans, but watching players getting owned by mobs for 20 minutes gets boring very quickly.

    My question is why do the automatons leave like our satellite dish working and all the objective areas that they don’t use? Why don’t they blow them up so the divers can’t use them?

    When I’ve had that bleeding glitch ive had to take damage to be able to stim again.

    Ya I had this bug. Your health bar turns red but it is still at 100%. You can't use stims unless your hp drops below 100%.

    Is there a specific part of the hatch on the factory you have to hit with the autocannon to take it out? It seems to be pretty inconsistent for me; usually I have to move around to get a nearly straight-on shot.

      Probably 30-45° angle in front of it and hit the top of the flap to bounce it in but I feel it can be pretty inconsistent as well. Still much better than running up and throwing a grenade lol

    the red health bar glitch can be corrected by taking damage. in multiplayer you can just have a team mate punch you to fix it

    Sorta unrelated question, but how are you getting 131FPS in 1440p? I have a 5900X and a RTX3080, and I can struggle to hit 60FPS with settings turned down

    Not sure how that stim glitch happens but when it does you have to take damage to be able to stim and fix it.

    So I think only the corsairs can call in bot drops. The devs mentioned that it used to be all the small dudes but they changed it just before release because they wanted the bots to feel less swarmy than the bugs. They specifically said only one unit can call them in.

      They must have changed their mind once again because all troopers can definitely call it in. From my observations the only difference to the corsair/commander is that the other troopers have it on a lower priority list but if you leave them alive for too long they will. "too long" is obviously subjective and I don't have any hard numbers as I just prioritize to take them down ASAP

      @@Soulliquor Could be the case. Maybe the dev who mentioned it was mistaken as well. He was in a game with the CEO and a youtuber and the CEO thought it was still multiple units so who knows. Maybe they just talked about changing it.

      @@JustGunnieyeah, life would certainly be easier if it was just this one guy but considering the amount of stealth changes that happens on the regular, who knows what was the initial intention compared to what is in the game right now. The increase of patrols by destroying outposts for example also seems to be a recent thing considering the ingame tooltip saying the complete opposite and I certainly didn't remember this being a thing in the first two weeks when the game came out. Though I suppose at this point its nothing more than anecdotal evidence at best and speculation at worst (and its not like we can do anything about it anyway).

    i heard you like challenges. use max lvl5 stratagems. try to clear as high difficulty as you can, both factions. meaning easy on terminids AND automatons, then advancing to medium etc. added difficulty, use only one loadout the whole run. extra extra difficulty: only 1 death allowed per difficulty level (does not stack).

    I don't get the logic of what happens when I call in extraction. Sometimes no one sows up, sometimes 2 patrols but most of the time they send like 1 tank, 3 hulks, 10 berserker and 20 little guys and they all make a beeline for me and not the extraction point. It does this even if I had zero bot drops the whole mission and call in with no enemies within 200m.
