- This one surprised me. I didn't think it would hold as much as it did! How much? You'll have to watch to find out, but before you watch the video, what's your guess?

~47lbs 😳
I wouldn't recommend having much ammo like this. A little heavy to be moving around and if you drop it on your foot, game over. Bring on the cast.
Damn! Sometimes to much of a good thing (storage), becomes just to heavy! Even those buckets of .22 LR are heavy as crap.
I’d be concerned about the rounds on the bottom being damaged. That’s a lot of weight for a 22lr to support
Also doing this with rimfire just doesn’t seem like the best idea in general
@@jstud999 Why?
I bought Federal Automatch as well. I bought 3,250 in bulk and a 30 cal can could barely hold it all, and the can was fairly heavy so I wouldn't recommend a 50 cal can just because of the weight.
22LR is great to stockpile though whether you're just plinking or saving for a SHTF situation where you might have to harvest smaller critters to survive.
You got more than I thought you might. Thanks for the video.
I was surprised!
Great, great video Andrew! The family and I just returned from Disney after five days. Though we have had temperatures in the mid 90's with high humidity up here in Rhode Island over the last two weeks, I have to say, I was spent on the 5th day after pushing a 2 and 5 year old around in a stroller for three miles a day at Disney!
Other than the heat I hope you enjoyed your trip to FL. The heat has only gotten worse down here. It's just like an oven with the heat index approaching 120 degrees 😳
3000 rounds of 22 LR will fit inside a 30 cal metal can if you loosely pour them inside. I know because I only use 30 cal cans.
5.56x45 = 700 on average in a 30 cal.
7.62x39 = 500 on average in a 30 cal.
45 ACP = 750 on average in a 30 cal.
22 LR = 3000 on average in a 30 cal.
9mm = 1200 on average inside a 30 cal. Some people stay they can fit 1500. (For me I only pour 1000 rounds)
People seem to be saying they can fit 6000 rounds of 22 LR inside their 50 cal can. I can fit 3000 rounds of 22 LR inside my 30 cal cans. So we can say 30 cal can is half the capacity of a 50 cal can. 50 cal can is 2x the capacity of a 30 cal.
You have me thinking about it. I already have 2 cals stocked that way, might be able to do a third.
Nice 😎
I have 4000 in an ammo can. 12 of the auto match and 8 of the cardboard boxed cci. Not shocked they will hold 6000
I was surprised
Great video 👍🏻… can you do how many rounds of 556 fit in a 50 cal can thanks
I was thinking 2000. Samsonite, I was way off.
Excellent reference, that made me chuckle
Dang. That’s crazy and so fun to watch.
I know it can do 5250 as that's what is in one of mine..... there's still some room but I ran out of that brand/type so I called it as well.😁
Lol, like minded
Thank you sir. I wondered also.my weight guess was 50+pounds
I can't do this. I don't want to mix brands, grains, etc.
Guess I'll have to pick one, and buy more!
Always buy more!
6000 all day long I store mine same way get pretty heavy
Should have a guessing contest for a GC????
Such a great feeling having a full can of .22lr that you never have to touch
Oh I'm touching it all right 😂
@@andrewmconrad hahaha
Crazy town 😂
Yup. Mind blown
So same as the 9mm, you do not know how many will fit? Haaa. Thanks Andrew.
I was shocked with that video as well
