Close family member had a stroke early one Monday morning and rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery and a nurse had briefly mentioned noticing dark bruises (we never knew about them and was our first time hearing about it). After 5 long hours of waiting at the hospital, we were told he had stage 4 blood cancer. Was told he had little chance of survival and needed to wake up first after being off the sedation. Next morning he was responsive and we were in high spirits and that after a few days of fighting he would begin his leukemia treatment. 10 hours we got the news that his skull could not withstand the pressure and that extra surgery to the skull would be fatal as well as his kidneys shutting down and he passed peacefully today. From shock to high hopes to utter sadness. Please check on your health and never take the present time with loved ones for granted..
My mom is in the hospital right now, day 5 and they are doing a bone marrow biopsy tomorrow. She refused to see a Dr. It's been 30 years and she refused to go. Her skin exploded in a large purple non painful rash and the Dr basically said it's Leukemia. The results will tell. Send prayers
Oh my God, I’m a 49-year-old man, who was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease when I was 20, since then I’ve had 33 operations leaving me with less than five percent off my entire gastrointestinal tract, but lately I’ve been feeling sicker than normal, every single symptom mentioned in this video I have, literally every single one, I just found out from my blood work yesterday that my white blood cell and red blood cell counts are through the roof, I’m having a bone marrow biopsy on Monday. Now I am really scared, in the past 29 years I have died once a nearly 3 more times, I have entered the most painful surgeries you could ever imagine, including having my rectum removed and stitched shut, I’ve had eight different intestinal the versions, and just for the last year I finally started to feel better, and now this is happening, I think I wasn’t meant to be very long here on this earth, because if I have leukaemia, After fighting for 29 years, I don’t have any more fight left in me, I am going to refuse all medical intervention and let nature take it’s course, if I meant to survive I will, but if not I want to die fast as possible, because I simply cannot handle any more surgery or months of being stuck in a hospital bed crying every from depression and desperation.
I’m going for a doctors appointment tomorrow about a lump on my neck. I have been having naps in the day and just passing out as soon as i get in a bed but when it’s night time i have bad insomnia. I was diagnosed with Neutropenia Leukemia in 2014 I finally found out why I was tired and kept getting reoccurring respiratory infections. But when I look back I was actually diagnosed in 2008 the first year living in Dubai. I've never heard of Leukemia until I was diagnosed and what a journey it's been. It's only now since finding this charity on twitter I am now understanding the signs and my condition which has been helpful. I've changed my diet and exercising 4 or 5 times a week but having this condition is very hard at times.

I didn't get any symptoms but a routine blood test revealed a high white cell count. A follow-up test showed that I had CLL. This didn't cause any other symptoms for a couple of years. Then I noticed a firmness under my ribcage which was an enlarged spleen. I then had a course of chemotherapy which has brought things back to reasonable levels. Therefore I think an annual blood test is a good idea for people in my age group (60's).

My dad had all the symptoms of blood cancer. Yet the doctors told him he was crazy. They actually found it at stage 4 when there's no hope left and he died within 4 months. I also have all the signs and symptoms. I am diagnosed with bipolar. I saw my death in a dream. Yet the doctors can't find anything. I am the same stage as my dad one year before the cancer shows up.
i was diagnosed with HCL last january like most men think symtoms are nothing and will go away i had tiredness dizzyness was very pale going yellow weight loss , went to docs blood test within 24 hours admitted to hospital 15 blood transfussions and 8 platelets transfussion and five days of cladrabine chemo ive made a recovery a few more days could have been very different. if anyone has symptoms go and get checked out can save your life

I am a child, and have noticed I am very sore, I am getting tired, the middle of my ribs acts up now and then, and parts of my body are so badly bruised, it's hurts! Also, my eye visions have changed a bit, if that affects anything. I have been showing signs of this, and it does run in my biological family. But the doctors that I went to see (mind you I went two different hospitals) they refused to see me and/or don't take it seriously. I want to find a hospital that will take it seriously, including the fact I have High Immune System Disorder which is super difficult to pin point. But I have been dealing with most of these signs for almost about 7 months now, and I feel horrible. The last time I went to the hospital was last month and the doctor sent me home on yellow, and my Immune System 3% more then normal (and they have to do an advanced Immune system count for me to see). He sent me home because I was "annoying" which makes it even sadder is that he is a cancer survivor too, I know what it is but no one is listening to me in the medical field. 😔 and my friends including my sweetheart notice the change, including my kids they notice it immediately something was wrong. I don't know what to do, I'm scared to go in because I do the right thing but don't get the help. And even if I don't go in I'm just torturing myself..........

I woke up just right now and started searching for blood cancer because I dreamed that my father had last stage cancer bad thing he is also out of town and I can't even contact him I feel so sad and I wanna cry
Am 24 years old now. Have been having bloody stool since I was 8, and it keep happening occasionally even now. It doesn't hurt.. it's just that when it bleeds, the blood would really be dripping out even after I was done pooping, the water in the toilet bowl would completely turned red because of the blood. Also, I've been having these bruises appearing on my skin when I was 15 years old. The bruises did not hurt at all either. And no, I didn't bumped into anything. It appeared randomly on my body, like thighs, arms, breasts and on my back. One time after a shower, a roommate pointed out about the bruises lining up straight on my spine. It looked so bad that the roommate thought I was beaten up with a blunt object. My family knows about both of the problems but have never been concerned when I told them about the matter because they think that it's not that serious, so I've never been brought to the hospital for a health checkup.
My skin been itchy every since March 10th 2020 , the doctor said it maybe something in my blood . I've gotten my blood drawn last week on Monday & the lab is testing my blood , wish me luck , I hope I don't have blood cancer 💔

Okay now I am scared I am constantly tired for no apparent reason. I can sleep 9 hours a day but I would still be tired in the morning. Sometimes when I am in school I often feel like I am going to faint. I also often feel like I have a fever. I am rather sweating or I am extremely cold. I had a few cases where my bones or joints were hurting. Once my elbow was hurting for 4 months but when I went to the doctor for ultrasound and x-ray he told me I was okay and send me home. I also have a little bit fragile bones and a terrible imunity. I also had a lot of respiratory infections. Also when I run my knees are hurting so badly and I have troubles breathing. My head also gets dizzy and sometimes I have blurry vision. The thing is I am not overweight and I am not living an unhealthy lifestyle. Someone please help.
As a nurse myself all i can say is please tell your parents about it and make sure you go to the doctor and tell the doctor about everything what yu said here. Yu neec to have blood works done. CBC, cmp, and all necessary test .

Symptoms aren’t a diagnosis for blood cancer, in order for it be diagnosed they would have to find cancerous cells in ur bone marrow through a bone marrow biopsy.
Relax I thought the same but red spots is only a symptom not a disease. These red dots are called petechiae and it can be a sign of low platelet count. You may be low on calcium or vitamin d (vitamin d is needed to absorb calcium). So don't worry I was the same way try consuming more dairy, or leafy vegetables like kale, collard greens, broccoli, bok choy. Petechiae can also be due to trauma or bacteria.

Do you necessarily have to get all the symptoms to be diagnosed with leukaemia I have about three symptoms which bones and joints pain ,itchiness , and sometimes night sweats and I do get sick easily and it’s pretty bad whenever I get sick I need to go to the er tbh I’m quite scared about the idea that I might have it just 7 months I had a mass tumour in my lungs that had to be removed it wasn’t cancerous yet but it was the hardest time of my life so I’m scared of getting sick again

I have an MPN also Lynette. Essential thrombocythemia (platelets). I am afraid it may be progressing to MF. I also have 2 precursors-dupytrens contracture and peyronies disease which are both related to MF due to collagen build up in hand, penis. I have CBC tomorrow. I am afraid blood counts may be dropping. Have been on hydroxy 18 months. I was originally afraid of progressing to PV, but MF is much worse. Fatigue has been awful. Do you remember what was happening with your CBC when you first were diagnosed? RBC, hemoglobin, platelets? WBC?
So sorry to hear that...I recently had some bleeding issues & was in the hospital, they did some scans & found out my spleen is growing bigger & my blood vessels are enlarged. My Dr just upped my medication from 10 mg twice a day to 20 mg twice a day of Jakafi. I go next week for a follow up & blood work. But I do remember, back in 1999 I was 8 months pregnant with my 2nd son & had a stroke. It was a TIA thankfully & me & the baby recovered right away. However they found my blood pressure was sky high & my CBC showed platelets in the millions, high red cells, low hemoglobin & enlarged spleen. So they initially diagnosed me with PV & ET. They were a bit confused. I was eventually referred to the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center. Over the years with multiple bone marrow biopsys, it showed scarring & then I was eventually diagnosed with MF. In the past I was only on a daily aspirin, it kept me pretty stable. It kept my platelets down but recently about 2 yrs ago my anemia became a real problem & I eventually needed transfusions, so I was then put on Jakafi last year. It has been helping my blood counts but not my spleen.

not a fan of the diagnosis at 1:05...idk if it's aching bones but something feels like needle pain in my legs, arms, under my neck...I have IBS...fatigue...omg I've slept for 4 or 5 days straight and am still tired(no job as of yet... too damn tired...I'm staying with family as of now)...i dehydrate super easily probably due to IBS diarrhea but when it's a hot day and I am going to my one class I have by bus, I feel like fainting...I have to drink water a lot. The tiredness is so annoying cuz my family thinks I'm faking it!
Came back here thanks to a bruise that is super odd lmao. Hope this cancer is not my problem. I bumped my shoulder on a screen door cuz I had a lil kid in my arms and I was trying to use my body to keep the door open and it is still bruised and the bruise is kind of large. Not used to this. Probably nothing tho. I've heard that this cancer can make a simple bump on the table cause a bad case of bruising that doesn't go away for long so here I am again, freaking out lmao.

Ahh this makes me a bit worried! Saw my GP about 2 years ago and had a low white blood cell count and other abnormal results. I’m 23 female btw. She referred me to a hematologist where again I had a low white blood cell count and other abnormal results but he couldn’t find the problem! Eventually my white blood cells went back to normal I don’t think I could have blood cancer though because that must mean my white blood cells would be high instead. I still feel so exhausted, chest pain, short of breath (I don’t think I am actually short of breath I just feel like that), I get joint/ bone pain, headaches and other stuff. I just feel off! I had a FISH analysis CLL and it came back positive for deletion of 13q14 which made me panic but he retested and it came back negative so must of been a false positive. Anyway I see my hematologist again in January! Hopefully it’s nothing bad and just my anemia! (I think anemia might just have similar symptoms).
Other symptoms I get are: itchy skin and when I get a cut or something I tend to bleed a lot and heal slowly. I hope these are just all symptoms of anemia. I’ve gotten iron infusions and I think it made me feel a little better but not 100%. Another reason I don’t think I have a blood disease is because I do bruise but not badly. I work with dogs so I usually will find bruises but nothing insane like I’ve seen blood cancer patients have. Also if my FISH analysis came back positive that once but then negative that next time I hope that would mean I’m negative. Sorry for venting just nervous.

Doc, I had this quite big, round bruise at the side of my left thigh that i wouldn't ever notice until my sister pointed out. I couldn't remember a thing if i ever did bump into something to have this. That was almost 4days ago. And now another round bruise, a much smaller one, appeared behind my right leg and my sis just pointed it out to me. Close family member had a stroke early one Monday morning and rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery and a nurse had briefly mentioned noticing dark bruises (we never knew about them and was our first time hearing about it). After 5 long hours of waiting at the hospital, we were told he had stage 4 blood cancer. Was told he had little chance of survival and needed to wake up first after being off the sedation. Next morning he was responsive and we were in high spirits and that after a few days of fighting he would begin his leukemia treatment. 10 hours we got the news that his skull could not withstand the pressure and that extra surgery to the skull would be fatal as well as his kidneys shutting down and he passed peacefully today.
From shock to high hopes to utter sadness. Please check on your health and never take the present time with loved ones for granted..

My mom is in the hospital right now, day 5 and they are doing a bone marrow biopsy tomorrow. She refused to see a Dr. It's been 30 years and she refused to go. Her skin exploded in a large purple non painful rash and the Dr basically said it's Leukemia. The results will tell. Send prayers

Oh my God, I’m a 49-year-old man, who was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease when I was 20, since then I’ve had 33 operations leaving me with less than five percent off my entire gastrointestinal tract, but lately I’ve been feeling sicker than normal, every single symptom mentioned in this video I have, literally every single one, I just found out from my blood work yesterday that my white blood cell and red blood cell counts are through the roof, I’m having a bone marrow biopsy on Monday. Now I am really scared, in the past 29 years I have died once a nearly 3 more times, I have entered the most painful surgeries you could ever imagine, including having my rectum removed and stitched shut, I’ve had eight different intestinal the versions, and just for the last year I finally started to feel better, and now this is happening, I think I wasn’t meant to be very long here on this earth, because if I have leukaemia, After fighting for 29 years, I don’t have any more fight left in me, I am going to refuse all medical intervention and let nature take it’s course, if I meant to survive I will, but if not I want to die fast as possible, because I simply cannot handle any more surgery or months of being stuck in a hospital bed crying every from depression and desperation.

I’m going for a doctors appointment tomorrow about a lump on my neck. I have been having naps in the day and just passing out as soon as i get in a bed but when it’s night time i have bad insomnia. I have eczema, however it’s flared up extremely badly, especially around my neck. Wish me luck. This isn’t even all of the symptoms i have been experiencing :/

I was diagnosed with Neutropenia Leukemia in 2014 I finally found out why I was tired and kept getting reoccurring respiratory infections. But when I look back I was actually diagnosed in 2008 the first year living in Dubai. I've never heard of Leukemia until I was diagnosed and what a journey it's been. It's only now since finding this charity on twitter I am now understanding the signs and my condition which has been helpful. I've changed my diet and exercising 4 or 5 times a week but having this condition is very hard at times.

I didn't get any symptoms but a routine blood test revealed a high white cell count. A follow-up test showed that I had CLL.
This didn't cause any other symptoms for a couple of years. Then I noticed a firmness under my ribcage which was an enlarged spleen. I then had a course of chemotherapy which has brought things back to reasonable levels.
Therefore I think an annual blood test is a good idea for people in my age group (60's).

My dad had all the symptoms of blood cancer. Yet the doctors told him he was crazy. They actually found it at stage 4 when there's no hope left and he died within 4 months.

I have been showing signs of this, and it does run in my biological family. But the doctors that I went to see (mind you I went two different hospitals) they refused to see me and/or don't take it seriously. I want to find a hospital that will take it seriously, including the fact I have High Immune System Disorder which is super difficult to pin point. But I have been dealing with most of these signs for almost about 7 months now, and I feel horrible. The last time I went to the hospital was last month and the doctor sent me home on yellow, and my Immune System 3% more then normal (and they have to do an advanced Immune system count for me to see). He sent me home because I was "annoying" which makes it even sadder is that he is a cancer survivor too, I know what it is but no one is listening to me in the medical field. 😔 and my friends including my sweetheart notice the change, including my kids they notice it immediately something was wrong. I don't know what to do, I'm scared to go in because I do the right thing but don't get the help. And even if I don't go in I'm just torturing myself..........

I woke up just right now and started searching for blood cancer because I dreamed that my father had last stage cancer bad thing he is also out of town and I can't even contact him I feel so sad and I wanna cry
Am 24 years old now. Have been having bloody stool since I was 8, and it keep happening occasionally even now. It doesn't hurt.. it's just that when it bleeds, the blood would really be dripping out even after I was done pooping, the water in the toilet bowl would completely turned red because of the blood.
Also, I've been having these bruises appearing on my skin when I was 15 years old. The bruises did not hurt at all either. And no, I didn't bumped into anything.
It appeared randomly on my body, like thighs, arms, breasts and on my back.
One time after a shower, a roommate pointed out about the bruises lining up straight on my spine. It looked so bad that the roommate thought I was beaten up with a blunt object.
My family knows about both of the problems but have never been concerned when I told them about the matter because they think that it's not that serious, so I've never been brought to the hospital for a health checkup.

Okay now I am scared I am constantly tired for no apparent reason. I can sleep 9 hours a day but I would still be tired in the morning. Sometimes when I am in school I often feel like I am going to faint. I also often feel like I have a fever. I am rather sweating or I am extremely cold. I had a few cases where my bones or joints were hurting. Once my elbow was hurting for 4 months but when I went to the doctor for ultrasound and x-ray he told me I was okay and send me home. I also have a little bit fragile bones and a terrible imunity. I also had a lot of respiratory infections. Also when I run my knees are hurting so badly and I have troubles breathing. My head also gets dizzy and sometimes I have blurry vision. The thing is I am not overweight and I am not living an unhealthy lifestyle. Someone please help.
As a nurse myself all i can say is please tell your parents about it and make sure you go to the doctor and tell the doctor about everything what yu said here. Yu neec to have blood works done. CBC, cmp, and all necessary test .
U should consult a psychiatrist also.......watch comedy shows....do some yoga ....in d early morning take warm water with lemon n honey....it really works dear...n finally u should listen maha mrutyunja mantra regularly....

Relax I thought the same but red spots is only a symptom not a disease. These red dots are called petechiae and it can be a sign of low platelet count. You may be low on calcium or vitamin d (vitamin d is needed to absorb calcium). So don't worry I was the same way try consuming more dairy, or leafy vegetables like kale, collard greens, broccoli, bok choy. Petechiae can also be due to trauma or bacteria.

Am 24 years old now. Have been having bloody stool since I was 8, and it keep happening occasionally even now. It doesn't hurt.. it's just that when it bleeds, the blood would really be dripping out even after I was done pooping, the water in the toilet bowl would completely turned red because of the blood.
Also, I've been having these bruises appearing on my skin since when I was 15 years old. The bruises did not hurt at all either. And no, I didn't bumped into anything.
It appeared randomly on my body, like thighs, arms, stomachs and on my back.
One time after a shower, a roommate pointed out about the bruises lining up straight on my spine. It looked so bad that the roommate thought I was beaten up with a blunt object.
My family knows about both of the problems but have never been concerned when I told them about the matter because they think that it's not that serious, so I've never been brought to the hospital for a health checkup. Now both families and friends are telling me that I overthink too.

I have an MPN also Lynette. Essential thrombocythemia (platelets). I am afraid it may be progressing to MF. I also have 2 precursors-dupytrens contracture and peyronies disease which are both related to MF due to collagen build up in hand, penis. I have CBC tomorrow. I am afraid blood counts may be dropping. Have been on hydroxy 18 months. I was originally afraid of progressing to PV, but MF is much worse. Fatigue has been awful. Do you remember what was happening with your CBC when you first were diagnosed? RBC, hemoglobin, platelets? WBC?
So sorry to hear that...I recently had some bleeding issues & was in the hospital, they did some scans & found out my spleen is growing bigger & my blood vessels are enlarged. My Dr just upped my medication from 10 mg twice a day to 20 mg twice a day of Jakafi. I go next week for a follow up & blood work. But I do remember, back in 1999 I was 8 months pregnant with my 2nd son & had a stroke. It was a TIA thankfully & me & the baby recovered right away. However they found my blood pressure was sky high & my CBC showed platelets in the millions, high red cells, low hemoglobin & enlarged spleen. So they initially diagnosed me with PV & ET. They were a bit confused. I was eventually referred to the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center. Over the years with multiple bone marrow biopsys, it showed scarring & then I was eventually diagnosed with MF. In the past I was only on a daily aspirin, it kept me pretty stable. It kept my platelets down but recently about 2 yrs ago my anemia became a real problem & I eventually needed transfusions, so I was then put on Jakafi last year. It has been helping my blood counts but not my spleen.

Came back here thanks to a bruise that is super odd lmao. Hope this cancer is not my problem. I bumped my shoulder on a screen door cuz I had a lil kid in my arms and I was trying to use my body to keep the door open and it is still bruised and the bruise is kind of large. Not used to this. Probably nothing tho. I've heard that this cancer can make a simple bump on the table cause a bad case of bruising that doesn't go away for long so here I am again, freaking out lmao.

Ahh this makes me a bit worried! Saw my GP about 2 years ago and had a low white blood cell count and other abnormal results. I’m 23 female btw. She referred me to a hematologist where again I had a low white blood cell count and other abnormal results but he couldn’t find the problem! Eventually my white blood cells went back to normal I don’t think I could have blood cancer though because that must mean my white blood cells would be high instead. I still feel so exhausted, chest pain, short of breath (I don’t think I am actually short of breath I just feel like that), I get joint/ bone pain, headaches and other stuff. I just feel off! I had a FISH analysis CLL and it came back positive for deletion of 13q14 which made me panic but he retested and it came back negative so must of been a false positive. Anyway I see my hematologist again in January! Hopefully it’s nothing bad and just my anemia! (I think anemia might just have similar symptoms).
Other symptoms I get are: itchy skin and when I get a cut or something I tend to bleed a lot and heal slowly. I hope these are just all symptoms of anemia. I’ve gotten iron infusions and I think it made me feel a little better but not 100%. Another reason I don’t think I have a blood disease is because I do bruise but not badly. I work with dogs so I usually will find bruises but nothing insane like I’ve seen blood cancer patients have. Also if my FISH analysis came back positive that once but then negative that next time I hope that would mean I’m negative. Sorry for venting just nervous.

Doc, I had this quite big, round bruise at the side of my left thigh that i wouldn't ever notice until my sister pointed out. I couldn't remember a thing if i ever did bump into something to have this.
That was almost 4days ago.
And now another round bruise, a much smaller one, appeared behind my right leg and my sis just pointed it out to me.
I am taking a powdered inhaler for my asthma for almost 9mons.now, and this is the very first time this happened to me. Recently I also had water therapy for UTI and I'm pretty fine now for a while.
