  • Installing Christmas lights on your roof the easy way! Putting lights on your home can be difficult when you need a longer or a shorter strand of lights. With commercial-grade Christmas lights, you can cut the length of socket wire needed for your project. Not only will the lights fit perfectly to your roof, but they will be much brighter as well. I will walk you through each step to make your home the brightest on the block this holiday season. Shop my website down below!

How does the wind not take them off the roof? Those magnets don't look like they're very strong. As you were fumbling around putting the lights on they kept falling off the roof.

Where do you recommend to get the supplies( socket wire and bulbs), and do the type of led bulbs used determine the type of socket wire? This is such a smarter way to decorate and I’m going to change out all of my stuff over time. Thank you for your help sir.

I have all the supplies I used listed on my website www.holidaylightingcreations.com/category/all-products. c9 bulbs should fit most c9 sockets. You can also get the bulb and socket wire in c7 which is smaller.

Any suggestions for roof lights on a barrel style clay roof? I’ve always just stapled to the fascia board. There’s gotta be a cleaner approach.

I have done those before. I used the plastic tuff clips. I think I just trimmed the clip at the back and slid it over. Also, I have done some that have a metal piece right below that I used a magnet clips on.

@@holidaylightingcreations Thanks for your help! That metal drip edge, below the roof tiles is what you have stuck the magnet clips on? I was thinking that could work but never thought a magnet clip would hold a strand of c9 up like that.

I did it last year on a home and it withstood the weather conditions all month and we do get strong wind.

    How to handle the rain?

GFCI’s can cause issues for some people. Just make sure your connections do not sit in water when it rains. Commercial grade lights work better in this type of situation.
