I miss the times when we had more than 2 footy games to play. I've looked around for an indie game but there isn't much of that in this genre, which is really sad. I wanna have fun kicking a virtual ball like in rocket league!
1:12:47 I think Tecmo just did simple sports games really well. The NES/SNES era American Football games Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl still have a big following over here. There's just something fun about them that Madden never managed to capture.
I think it's safe to say Kim that you do some of the absolute best footie game vids. I'm pretty neutral when it comes to real Footie but your vids are always interesting. 👍
Awesome. I appreciate there would be some overlap with this video but would you consider doing a “Top 50/100” footy games of all time? You are uniquely qualified to do this 👍
Kim, you are an absolute doll for uploading this!!!!! I’m a MASSIVE 80’s football video game fan!!!! You got all the classics in here!!! I genuinely can’t get enough of your absolutely awesome coverage!!!!⭐️
Great video. We definitely had the sequel to Football Champ in our local arcade, it was called Taito Cup Finals. Lots of 30p's put into that one. I also liked Tecmo World Cup but only got to play that when the fair came to town as they always had it in their mobile arcade. Nick (Arlasoft)
I grew up with WC Italia 90, then Sensible Soccer. Aside from the obvious hours on Fifa, TiF an Pro Evo, my mates and I loved the Champions League series on PS2. You could pretty much guarantee a goal if you chipped the ball anywhere within 30 yards of the box.
I don't like sports. I don't like football especially. I don't like sports games. None of them have ever worked for me. I've watched most of these videos before. So why am I sitting here watching this one? You have a real talent for this, Kim. You take topics like football games, something that is objectively somewhere between watching paint dry and watching already dried paint in the excitement department, and make it interesting. Kudos.
I'm not through the whole video yet, but I don't remember you ever talking about the Worldwide Soccer series on Saturn. WWS 1 was the first soccer game I ever owned, and I only bought it because all my Saturn games were lost in storage after a big move, and it was the only game I didn't already have. I played the CRAP out of it and still do sometimes, it was just a lot of fun to me. But I'm a stupid American who don't know much bout all this asSOCiation football nonsense, so I've always wondered if the game I loved was actually any good or not from the perspective of someone who actually knows what they're talking about.
Amazing video and a great look back at some and not some classics…Although sorry to correct you but FIFA 16 had a dive button. If I remember correctly it was a combination of pressing 2 shoulder buttons. Great video though and so great memories.
Michael Owens WLS was by Silicon Dreams, who were basically.......US Gold. Compare the GOAL graphics between that and Atlanta Olympics and its basically the same. And so were their subsequent games.......(yes, I worked there for a few years!)
I really enjoy your football videos. But I also enjoyed Olympic Soccer, using the overhead view. Some on the things that happened were ludicrous but it was fun to play.
The only game I played is the Chris Kamara game. Whoever I played I lost; I was crap. Chris Kamara released a Christmas album a few years ago, I bought it just because of his name; it turns out to be quite good.
My mate always used to play as Nigeria on ISS Pro just because the commentator had clearly knocked off down the pub before they recorded the word Nigeria so they got someone else to do it. It’s a … free … kick to … NIGERIA!
Just from the opening comment, I have to say, I'm not a soccer fan just like most Americans, but I've always loved soccer games. Same with hockey, don't watch the sport but love a good hockey video game. So before I've even gotten into this vid, lemme just say, I'm looking forward to it! I always enjoy these and look forward to them! I would love to see you do a series on a sport you're less familiar with and see if it raises your enjoyment of the sport or not.
I remember playing all the football games on Playstation magazine. Demos essentially. I remember buying Fifa 98 and it was shit. Didn't buy another one until Red Card Soccer on PS2. Then never again, haha.
Winning Eleven 6:Final Evolution on the GameCube was my favourite football game from this generation. Crazy how many winning eleven games I have on PS2. I bought standard winning eleven games and the J-League ones. Football kingdom on PS2 was such a disappointment after buying it on release from Japan. The nets were god tier though.
Addidas power soccer was absolutely awful, you could also score every time from just over the half way line, you simply held down the long ball button and the ball would get lofted up into the box bounce over the keeper and you could score, awful game.
There is a point in time where football games were just god awful. I challenge anyone to play World Cup Italia nowadays. The real first football game as far as I'm concerned was FIFA on the Mega Drive in 1994.
I understand fifa 98 was necessary but it would not take long to turn into a boring fest and a game who only had the football part, everything outside of the pitch didnt had any work and world cup 98 came in to wipe the floor, it was a better game in everything and there was no reason to ever look back at fifa 98. And then 99 made verything better once again and on and on. They really did a great work at that time and the controls took it time to develop.

Try pro soccer online, small form games indoor and outdoor you control a player but simple controls but real skill and costs £7
Wait for Goals, I have friends who work there, and they are trying to make q skill based fun game for PvP 💪

You do fantastic documentaries, thanks for putting the work in and uploading them. I wish it was the 90's again.
Does anyone remember Peter Shilton's Handball Maradona. I loved that game.
I think it's safe to say Kim that you do some of the absolute best footie game vids. I'm pretty neutral when it comes to real Footie but your vids are always interesting. 👍
I don't like wrestling at all, but i've watched her video on "héroes of wrestling" about five or six times and absolutely love it. Magic.
The queen of computer football
Love this classic footie games... Love your content as always Kim 👌
Awesome. I appreciate there would be some overlap with this video but would you consider doing a “Top 50/100” footy games of all time? You are uniquely qualified to do this 👍
Thank you for making this compilation Kim! Now I can relax and do some work without any interruptions! 🤗💖⚽

Gary Linekers Superstar Soccer on the 48k ZX Spectrum. Happy days 😉

Great video Kim, this takes me back, I started with Actua Soccer, and then Road to world cup 98, absolutely loved both those games.
Great stuff as always Kim!
Love the footy content. Thanks Kim!
More Kim is always a treasure. And if you want more, follow Kim on Twitch!

Welcome to Michael's Owen World League soccer 99. Ave fun.

Fifa Street 2 was one of my favorite games on the PSP.
We probably don't really need all these football games, but I suppose it's nice to know we've got them, just in case.
Michael Owens WLS was by Silicon Dreams, who were basically.......US Gold. Compare the GOAL graphics between that and Atlanta Olympics and its basically the same. And so were their subsequent games.......(yes, I worked there for a few years!)
Only a 3 hour kim justice video? Those are rookie numbers!
I love Ultimate Soccer Manager. Not the best football management game ever, but I really enjoyed it.
I really enjoy your football videos. But I also enjoyed Olympic Soccer, using the overhead view. Some on the things that happened were ludicrous but it was fun to play.

I remember playing Hat Trick Hero 93 when on holiday in Mablethorpe so I thought we got that one
Yeah, it was called Taito Cup Finals over here, I definitely remember playing that one.
My mate always used to play as Nigeria on ISS Pro just because the commentator had clearly knocked off down the pub before they recorded the word Nigeria so they got someone else to do it. It’s a … free … kick to … NIGERIA!
PES 6 - The GOAT!
Great video as always on football games. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
It’s a sizzler!
We really need to pool some money together and buy a Sega Saturn for Kim, plus a full set of soccer games.
Just from the opening comment, I have to say, I'm not a soccer fan just like most Americans, but I've always loved soccer games. 1:04 😂😂
Actually you were able to dive in FIFA98: Road to World Cup. 😂

Brilliant kim, love all this!
did i miss ISS64? loved that game
3:37 "FRESH BLOOD .... IS COMING IN"
3 hours to go, the question is will we see Marko's Magic Football?
Rage Software retrospective perhaps?
You often play as Ireland are there some roots there beyond an affection for Gaelic Games Football?
I would love it if Kevin Keegan had a top on in that thumbnail
Brilliant...thanks for the vid.
34:30 so Kim…I’m guessing you won’t like this membership to the Mike Yarwood fan club I got you for your birthday…
I have no interest in soccer and even less in soccer video games. 10/10 video, watched every second and will do so again.
Premium content here. Love it !
My mate and me got the Rangers and Celtic Club Footballs for x-mas one year... Shame on Codemasters
3:47 - Geezez Christ this sounds like it was commentated by Richard Hammond on meth!
I’m sure there was a Fifa that had a diving option…
I want to say Fifa 01 on the PC with Scholes on the front🤔
98 or 99 did for sure mate, on the PSX
So you’re on the fence about impressionists then 😂
Thanks for putting this all in one place. It’s so much easier to avoid that way! 😂
Love all your OTHER vids 😃
Redcard was fun to play
I fuckin love your channel. From the USA with love. And futbol games WERE amazing.
I'm not sure Tó Madeira means "Of Madeira" since tó is a way to shorten antonio
Brilliant
1:14:05 😂😂😂 great line and point
1:18:35 if your a sensible soccer fan like me 👍
Tony Gubba !

On me head Son
Does Backyard Soccer count?
Do you support any team you're comfortable mentioning?
There is a point in time where football games were just god awful. I challenge anyone to play World Cup Italia nowadays. The real first football game as far as I'm concerned was FIFA on the Mega Drive in 1994.
One game that I find a little bit different -with the Neo Geo super striker- was Virtua Striker 2000 on the Sega Naomi.

fifa 96 97 and 99 is pure garbage, ISS was so much better
