am doing little bit different, but I like your method too. I like how you make things much easier. I mean using eyelet and O ring for handle. this is my weak point. I can adapt it from you. I sew always this part. maybe it is time to change my method.

I bought the synthetic leather in the Mushin leather market Lagos, then the clips (binder clips) are just from a bookshop.
How did you make the straps? Did you glue the leather together or sew it?
I glued it together and also sewed it

I used Top bond Contact adhesive ( Commonly called Evostick)

It’s called Faux leather or synthetic or artificial leather. I got it from a local vendor.
