    You can run your stitches in between your seems and tie it off with a square knot to finish your stitching runs. It leaves clean finish that will never come apart! You would do yourself a big favor by getting your hands on a stitching pony! Really nice work!! "3MP Custom Leather".

    So cool! What are the dimensions? I want something like this but smaller! Enough to fit my Tupperware and maybe two travel mugs. For lunch bag purposes. Do you have anything smaller?

    • @petrichorleather
      @petrichorleather  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! Thank you! The dimensions are approximately 13 x 10.5 x 6. This fits a thermos and medium Tupperware just right, with space for a laptop or book. A smaller bag we carry is the Hepburn, but it’s less of a rotate and more of a covered purse. Hope this helps!

      @@petrichorleather I'm still quite new to the selling game, so I haven't started that process yet. It's been more of a hobby for the past few years, but I've started drawing some interest in the things I've been creating lately, so I'm close to taking the plunge into selling. I feel like i should just jump in, but then something tells me to get a few designs perfected before I do that. Not just bags, but guitar straps, wallets, card holders, etc. It's just a really slow process.

    Getting ready to buy this pattern on Etsy. Any chance you can tell me what type of leather you’re using here? I’m used to the veg tanned stuff. I like the “bumps” on this material. What is it?

    • @petrichorleather
      @petrichorleather  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there! Sure thing, the material is oil tanned pebbles full grain hide. I picked up this stuff from Italy a while back so I can’t quite recall the retail name. A lot of places like Weaver or Springfield will sell oil tanned hides with pebble grain like this. I chose Oil Tan because they are much more forgiving in the rain, and this particular article is water resistant :) hope this helps and I hope you enjoy the build!

    • @petrichorleather
      @petrichorleather  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks! Yes the hole distance is 6mm and each hole diameter is 1.5mm. The thickness of these particular leathers are between 4.5oz to 5.5oz.

      Hey Danny! I actually just picked it up from my local Joanns Fabric for just a few bucks a yard. There are also a lot of great sellers on Etsy, but I’m kind of an impulsive buyer when it comes to crafting material so I always have some on hand from Fabric sales :)

    So i got the pattern and noticed 2 doted lines going across the top. Is that just hte option to fold over the leather and get a nice look on it as opposed to dieing it etc?

    • @petrichorleather
      @petrichorleather  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s right! It’s not required to punch those dotted lines out, just an option for a rolled edge. It also helps hide the frayed fabric edge of an interior liner
