Serendipity episode! This one came at the perfect time Dale. As always, you are a wealth of information. I am repairing the plastic trim on my truck front bumper and never would have thought of using Zip Ties as welding rods. Perfect, just perfect! Appreciate and enjoy watching what you share. Thank you. 👏👍
Thanks Dale , It will be nice to see you ride the Champion . It would be fun but i think I would be in the dirt in no time . Those days have past me by .
Nice work Dale ! Just fitted a new (!) main wiring harness to my YL2Cm. Waiting for the voltage regulator to turn up now. Keep up the nice work. Regards, Ard
Since your left foot is mostly on the ground, I'm curious to see how you engineer the shifter to the right side without interference to the brake pedal. I would imagine that you omit the brake pedal and run a cable to the brake control on the handle bars since there's no front brakes. Can you clarify that for me?
The shift shaft is already there on both sides on these early mx and enduro bikes, this was just as the government was pushing for standard LH shift in the US. I think 1974 was the cutoff date. Easy pesy.

Awesome Gigi, a lot of this stuff is not just geared to bikes, if it works it works. Good luck with your project.
Very creative, Dale. Great plastic welding tips. What a fascinating bike! Glad to go along for the ride.
Thanks Jim, it's all part of the fun, as you know well.
It's turning into a great bike Dale. It'll be a fortunate guy who eventually ends up with it.
Cheers, Peter.
Thanks peter, had my fun. Time for someone else to have it.
Nice work repurposing the longer axle to fit the forks. This will be a great racer for its new owner when completed.
Thank you, Doug, it was a fun project. Someone is going to love this thing.

Best wishes, Dean.

How did you determine your cotter pin hole placement - install the axle, tighten, etc?
Hi Enzo, I did it the scientifically, I installed it tightened it and marked it. LOL, really!
Hey brother
Hey there
Dale did i just refer to you as VINTAGE, sorry!
Yep, no problem, that I am.
