This has a murky, dark, echo to it. Like you're drowning in the ocean while things are exploding around you. Its so grimey and hard. My ears are alive again!
What the hell were they thinking when they changed the sound of the drums? The original release is perfect as it is and by remastering it was not necessary to completely transform the original sound.

Have a friend (no s#!t) buys every Megadeth cd. It takes him months. When he finishes his collection, he starts throwing them out his car window, and drives to the neerest place to buy the first album again. He Loves Dave. The equalizer in his car he bought from Dave too. Hard-core fan!

With the top notch musicality added to the subject matter it's metal heaven.

It puzzles me that Mike Clink got these massive sounding drums with Guns & Roses, but this album, which was recorded in between Appettite and the Illusions has this weak snare with no attack at all that makes the whole album sound like a demo.
You listen to this and you realize just how pissed off Dave was. Thank you, Metallica for kicking Dave out! Metallica play in slow motion compared to this.
Yeah I never really understood the rivalry between the fans. Dave and the guys all seem cool now, and both bands have amazing music so I'd hate to have to choose between them.
I love the drum sound on the remaster, it gives the songs so much more punch. Unfortunately Dave decided to re-record the vocals which made it 1000x worse than the original.
Metallica couldn't touch them with 10 inch pull on their greatest day. It is so amazing that they got rid of Dave Mustang because he made great music. Way greater Metallica could ever dream of doing

If he wanted to bring stuff back to the present of 2004 or whenever it was, all he had to do was have it re-released.

It’s odd Apple Music has theirs labeled as remastered but it has an audio file closer to the original. Like there are no re-recorded vocals or compressed guitars. I’m almost certain that it is an actual remaster of the OG and not a Remix.

Pretty sure they lost the original tracks if I'm not mistaken. That's why a lot of it was replaced.
