Even if the enemy team would be a minor football nation, it is kind of the job of a trainer to look into the enemy team, to know the players they have, strenghs and so on. To not recognize a player from a major football nation though is so disrespectful. It also explains how they lost the game, if you don't really look into the enemy team. Not to say their team wasn't good, it was. But come on, you have to respect your enemy, take them serious. What happened is actually Karma at it's best.

This was the defining match of the Jogi Löw era. The 4-1 against England might still have counted as a surprise by a young team against an broken English team that was outstanding only in its arrogance. But this one was a complete dismembering of a world class adversary packed with world class talent. The first fifteen minutes of that match were probably the best football ever played by a German team. That match showed the world that Löw's Germany, on a good day, could now not only beat but completely annihilate any opposition.
Well, one of the most interesting thing is that germans did not stop punishing argentina after this match but they waited for the next cup. 2014 last minutes and götze’s goal now has more meaning.

I can explain you why: 1. We got a new Trainer who "redesigned" the whole team, because of to high age reasons. 2. The DFB (German Soccer Association) thinks, that almost only CL player are the right ones for the German national team. 3. Most important reason is, that our team should be a model against social problems (gendering, etc.). Playing soccer is now the second most important part. Because of that our players are not 100% on the field. The team under the new coach ist awesome. Amazing players, who will win the next years a lot of cups, when the government let them do their job -> Playing soccer ✌🏽 All the best from Germany

Thomas Müller proved once more that Germans are polite people. I find it odd that so many Argentinian fans/journalists justify when their players behave like hooligans Even the "introverted" Messi has disrespected opponents in more than one occasion... .
Maradona said "A press conference should be between two technicians" little did he know he was talking to one of the smartest footballers in the history of the game
The great thing about Maradona's conduct for me as a Germany supporter is that I could just bask in the glory of this performance without an ounce of sympathy. Unlike four years later against Brazil, where I felt really awkward after the 4-0.
Being from Argentina, believe me when I say, I'm sure that here they give Diego the chance to be a technician because he was well, Maradona, besides that, you can notice that whe he dont even knows that Muller was a player from the other team, then you bet that your technical job is bad. Fortunately my country is not making that same mistake again (I hope), being humble is what made us become world champions, not trying to understimate your rival
It seems to me that Argentina, at that time, and Brazil too, didn’t focus much on defense. To me defense is the foundation of a team. You build from that. But it’s so hard to win without strong defending. Defending is more pragmatic. It’s not about flare, which the South Americans value.

Ignorant is the kind of word to describe Maradona.
Many people are still mad at Maradona for selecting the wrong players to go to the World Cup
Germany Vs Argentina is an underrated rivalry. This match was more satisfying to watch than 2014 final.
Now the two are incomparable
Argentina now is much much bigger as a world champion than Germany that got out of the grp stage of two consecutive world cups
Germany has no team now
@@ALGERIANxxxxAFRICAN The current scenario is out of the question. This germany team of 2014 was a legendary team and were consistent in world tournaments. Also they beat argentina 3 consecutive times. This 2010 victory was more personal. They not only beat argentina but also Maradona's ego. Also Messi never beat germany in WC which will remain forever in his career.Next time let's see how argentina performs without messi.

Muller truely took it like a gentleman I have to say, if it was me I might not have contained so well. Muller just gave an awkward smile and left. A great player with skill and humbleness, always been underrated in my opinion
Yes but to be honest he should have just sat down and take questions. I bet the interviewers would have been happy to ask him about Maradonna walking out. xD
Then he could have said something along the lines of well, we will see who prepared better for the game, since he doesn't even seem to know who the players of Germany are, I am confident we have the upper hand in that regard. ^^

A lesson that pride can humble anyone, even if they are one of the greatest players the world has ever known
They should have had a press conference with the 2 of them again after the matches
That would have been hilariously funny ^^

Que bueno que nunca se lo encontró en la cancha, Müller ya demostró de sobra quien manda en el campo, sus Champions, ligas, mundiales de clubes y mundiales nacionales contra mesi y todas las estrellas de su época lo avalan.
These were the years and decades when we still had a team that was hungry.

@@richhornie7000 ye germany really fell off recently, but that 2014 squad was pure greatness
@@richhornie7000 Wont change the fact that Germany humbled Argentina at every opportunity.
I can explain you why:

Thomas Müller proved once more that Germans are polite people.
I find it odd that so many Argentinian fans/journalists justify when their players behave like hooligans Even the "introverted" Messi has disrespected opponents in more than one occasion... .
Müller brought home more trophies and won a WC fair and square anyway
Maradona said "A press conference should be between two technicians" little did he know he was talking to one of the smartest footballers in the history of the game
And what a technician Maradonna was! Lost 0 4! Thats quite the feat! :D
The great thing about Maradona's conduct for me as a Germany supporter is that I could just bask in the glory of this performance without an ounce of sympathy. Unlike four years later against Brazil, where I felt really awkward after the 4-0.
Was für eine Mannschaft das war. 🤙

Bro the way Muller handled this, I forgot this happened lmao😂

This clearly showed that Maradona was a brilliant player, but arrogant as a person and a bad coach, who didn't even know the players on the opposing team. Because this game shown was only a few days after this press conference.
Maradona wasted young/fast Messi's only World Cup. It's crazy how Messi, as a starting XI player (06 was good but he was underused), had two decent WC teams and took both to the final (14 and 22). 10 was a terrible social experiment by AFA, and 2018 was so bad that Mascherano was the unofficial coach during the tournament. This really might be Messi's most impressive feat as a player.
