Exactly. Well said. Their approach to these videos is perfect. When I click on a guitar video, I don't want to watch a youtubers noodling for 10 minutes. I want to hear 'about' the guitar...not 'hear' the guitar.
Scored a one year only 1963 Danelectro Pro for $150, easily the best deal in my small herd. 2nd would be a 1971 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty, all original except changed witch hats. Stole that one a few months ago go for $2400. The guitar gods can sometimes be very generous! Thanks for your awesome videos.
I found a Schecter C1 FRS at a yardsale. Trans black over quilt, cabon fiber binding, Sustaniac, EMG, Floyd Rose, Grovers, hard-shell case. Got it for 250 bucks! I also found a Silvertone Catalina, blue and white, at another yardsale for 75 bucks!
Great vid, that Shell pink Strat is killer, 2020 beginning of pandemic, I found an early 1963 Les Paul junior, stripped to bare wood with all the parts, and it had a 72 embossed Gibson humbucker, for $150, I still chase that high everyday…
Oh man, that pink Strat is a beaut! Late to the party here but I think my best deal so far was getting a Kramer 450G with original case from a guy on Gumtree (UK version of Craigslist) for £270 (about $300)
I bought my 1964 jazzbass (sunburst) 1500 euros to a grandpa who bought it in N.Y in early 70's and never played it because he did not love it at all , he prefered his italian knockoff bass . It was in 2002. There is very few of these intruments in France, where I am from, and furthermore in very very good condition.
@@aflashfloodofgear not for bragging , just to share ! Thé grandpa knew this was a very rare instrument but liked that I was a pro musician not a collection guy Its important to find THE instrument, YOUR instrument, and sometimes you Wonder if it finds you more than you find it Thanks for thé vidéo !
That African story was really crazy!!! I would have never gone through with getting a guitar from some random guy over the internet!!! I guess there are just cool genuine people out there just giving away guitars!!!
Just wondering, do you take the time to run the numbers to know if the pieces are stolen? Some of the transactions seem a bit too 'good' to be straight & legit deals.
I bought a 1986 Les Paul custom Black beauty back in the 90s had it for 3 years got it under a blacklight it's got a black light tattoo of a lipstick blot on the back Paid$1000
Cool stories, thanks for sharing!
cheers!!
Great stories and you’re a natural in doing these videos. Makes me wanna go on endless Goodwill and pawn shop runs! 😂
Thanks! You never know what you might find out there 😂
My best guitar deal of all time was in 1980 when I scored a pair of 1968 sunburst Strats to cover a bet in a poker game that I won.
That's a good one 😎
I'm really enjoying your videos. You have some great finds, and a (very welcomed) different approach to the guitar-tuber content in my feed.
Appreciate that!

#1 is #1 for a good reason. But the turn of the DA was certainly a close second.

I bought a Gibson SG-X from a dude I went to high school with for $150 around 1998-1999. Still have it.

That's a great deal!
The $150.00 for the Gibson and the Strat...whoa!
Doubt that'll ever happen again haha
Whoever sold you that LG2 for $150 needs firing because they are an incompetent fool of an employee!
Good stories, that strat is a keeper

The strat story is so crazy 😅😂

Some faith in humanity restored for sure!
I'm interested in your Greco and or Tolkai collection/ inventory.
It's always struck me as high quality at reasonable prices. Is it the same with you?
There are definitely some lower end ones for both, but for the most part Tokai and Greco do hit that high quality, reasonable price bracket very well
That strat story was crazy and that's a sweet guitar you have awesome find
It was wild! Thanks, probably one of the better feeling strats I've ever played surprisingly
You should keep that pink lady forever.. great stories.
Very cool video! where are you located in central FL?
Right now we're getting ready to move, so inventory is split between two spots. But we're from the Orlando and Space Coast areas
Your Prince of Africa guitar is a fun story, thanks for sharing.
All crazy and interesting stories.
I once got two packs of bagels for the price of one!
Hey we back a good bagel purchase!
Bro I love that pink strat, killer piece, wish I had that one,my favorite color, jim from maine
Pink Strat is too good a Guitar and Story to ever let go.
I bought a 1963 Sears Silverstone amp and n case for $20:00 in 1983, still have it ....... Plays great !
That's crazy!
That was my first guitar. I regret it to this day smashing it at the end of my first gig to be “Rock & Roll”. Stupid
That Strat tho
How much did you end up paying for the Pink Fender Strat?
Need a Strat from Ghana like yours 😊🎉😊
Might be easier to just get one from Japan instead haha

Learned that lesson the hard way a long time ago
@@aflashfloodofgear It stinks that we have to think that way... doesn't it?!

I bought a 1986 Les Paul custom Black beauty back in the 90s had it for 3 years got it under a blacklight it's got a black light tattoo of a lipstick blot on the back
Paid$1000
Now that it is interesting
#5 deal was very likely stolen gear, given how fishy it went...
The pink Strat passes the Gibson by a mile.
