“Sic semper evello mortem tyrannis” (“Thus always I bring death to tyrants.")
When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.
      Frédéric Bastiat
“Those who are capable of tyranny are capable of perjury to sustain it.”
“...only those who have the will and the power to shoot down their fellow men, are the real rulers in this, as in all other (so-called) civilized countries; for by no others will civilized men be robbed, or enslaved.”
― Lysander Spooner, No Treason: The Constitution of No Authority
"So these villains, who call themselves governments, well understand that their power rests primarily upon stolen money. With money they can hire soldiers, and with soldiers extort money. And, when their authority is denied, the first use they always make of money, is to hire soldiers to kill or subdue all who refuse them more money." -Lysander Spooner. (1870)
-The payment of taxes, being compulsory, of course furnishes no evidence that any one voluntarily supports the Constitution.
It is true that the theory of our Constitution is, that all taxes are paid voluntarily; that our government is a mutual insurance company, voluntarily entered into by the people with each other; that each man makes a free and purely voluntary contract with all others who are parties to the Constitution, to pay so much money for so much protection, the same as he does with any other insurance company; and that he is just as free not to be protected, and not to pay any tax, as he is to pay a tax, and be protected.
But this theory of our government is wholly different from the practical fact. The fact is that the government, like a highwayman, says to a man: Your money, or your life. And many, if not most, taxes are paid under the compulsion of that threat.
The government does not, indeed, waylay a man in a lonely place, spring upon him from the road side, and, holding a pistol to his head, proceed to rifle his pockets. But the robbery is none the less a robbery on that account; and it is far more dastardly and shameful.
The highwayman takes solely upon himself the responsibility, danger, and crime of his own act. He does not pretend that he has any rightful claim to your money, or that he intends to use it for your own benefit. He does not pretend to be anything but a robber. He has not acquired impudence enough to profess to be merely a “protector,” and that he takes men’s money against their will, merely to enable him to “protect” those infatuated travellers, who feel perfectly able to protect themselves, or do not appreciate his peculiar system of protection. He is too sensible a man to make such professions as these. Furthermore, having taken your money, he leaves you, as you wish him to do. He does not persist in following you on the road, against your will; assuming to be your rightful “sovereign,” on account of the “protection” he affords you. He does not keep “protecting” you, by commanding you to bow down and serve him; by requiring you to do this, and forbidding you to do that; by robbing you of more money as often as he finds it for his interest or pleasure to do so; and by branding you as a rebel, a traitor, and an enemy to your country, and shooting you down without mercy, if you dispute his authority, or resist his demands. He is too much of a gentleman to be guilty of such impostures, and insults, and villanies as these. In short, he does not, in addition to robbing you, attempt to make you either his dupe or his slave.
The proceedings of those robbers and murderers, who call themselves “the government,” are directly the opposite of these of the single highwayman.
In the first place, they do not, like him, make themselves individually known; or, consequently, take upon themselves personally the responsibility of their acts. On the contrary, they secretly (by secret ballot) designate some one of their number to commit the robbery in their behalf, while they keep themselves practically concealed. They say to the person thus designated:
Go to A- B-, and say to him that “the government” has need of money to meet the expenses of protecting him and his property. If he presumes to say that he has never contracted with us to protect him, and that he wants none of our protection, say to him that that is our business, and not his; that we choose to protect him, whether he desires us to do so or not; and that we demand pay, too, for protecting him. If he dares to inquire who the individuals are, who have thus taken upon themselves the title of “the government,” and who assume to protect him, and demand payment of him, without his having ever made any contract with them, say to him that that, too, is our business, and not his; that we do not choose to make ourselves individually known to him; that we have secretly (by secret ballot) appointed you our agent to give him notice of our demands, and, if he complies with them, to give him, in our name, a receipt that will protect him against any similar demand for the present year. If he refuses to comply, seize and sell enough of his property to pay not only our demands, but all your own expenses and trouble beside.
If he resists the seizure of his property, call upon the bystanders to help you (doubtless some of them will prove to be members of our band). If, in defending his property, he should kill any of our band who are assisting you, capture him at all hazards; charge him (in one of our courts) with murder, convict him, and hang him. If he should call upon his neighbors, or any others who, like him, may be disposed to resist our demands, and they should come in large numbers to his assistance, cry out that they are all rebels and traitors; that “our country” is in danger; call upon the commander of our hired murderers; tell him to quell the rebellion and “save the country,” cost what it may. Tell him to kill all who resist, though they should be hundreds of thousands; and thus strike terror into all others similarly disposed. See that the work of murder is thoroughly done, that we may have no further trouble of this kind hereafter. When these traitors shall have thus been taught our strength and our determination, they will be good loyal citizens for many years, and pay their taxes without a why or a wherefore.
It is under such compulsion as this that taxes, so called, are paid. And how much proof the payment of taxes affords, that the people consent to support “the government,” it needs no further argument to show.

    • @Tuckparty
      @Tuckparty 2 ปีที่แล้ว +67

No one is wishing for a civil war. I don't want to have to fight my fellow citizens - that is the worst scenario. As our central government cracks and groans under its own weight, we can no longer ensure our inalienable rights will be honored and protected. Fortunately, our union has 50 states and I can live in the one that aligns with me ideologically. Same goes for my town, neighborhood.
I have no issue being civil, but it does make me raise an eyebrow when people call for my silence and/or disarmament based on my opinion of what America should be. I’m not going out there forcing that idea on them. However, given the opportunity, they would force it onto me.

If anyone comes along trying to claim they have an organization that is “the one true church”...just ask them to prove they EVERY member of their organization follows what Jesus taught and does so TO THE EXCLUSION OF EVEROYNE else on earth. They can’t do it. Their organizations are of the kingdom of man. God’s Kingdom is not of this world. And it doesn’t have buildings other than the physical bodies of his children, which are His true temple(s). Jesus changed all that. They’re also trying to live by the old covenant, which is telling Jesus they don’t amd won’t accept what he did for them. They’re either all-in for him, or they’re like the ones who want to come follow him...later. He said it can’t be both ways.

I have been a Registered Nurse since 1977 and at that time I was working in Labor and Delivery in a large hospital in the South. We had a lovely couple come to us for delivery of their first baby. The lady was in labor and we went through all the preliminaries getting her ready to have her first child. Her labor was quite difficult but the baby was born, a little girl, and all seemed to be well until the doctor tried to remove the placenta. It would not let go and come out. He continued to try and get it to release and in his efforts to remove it he tugged removing a large piece of her uterus. He quickly determined that the placenta had grown through the wall of the uterus (a very serious condition called "placenta accreta" and there was no such thing as ultra sound back then and no way to determine if she had that condition. She began to hemorrhage. The lady's husband was immediately notified and papers were prepared to administer blood and do an emergency hysterectomy. He was told that his wife was in a critical situation and we needed to give her blood immediately. HE WOULD NOT SIGN FOR ANY BLOOD PRODUCTS which at that time it was discovered that they were Jehovah's Witnesses. The doctor was frantic and we had to move this lady to ICU immediately and begin administering as much regular IV solution as we could safely to try and keep the blood volume up as much as we could while administration talked to this husband trying to make him see the dire emergency his wife was in. I will never forget this as long as I live but that doctor grabbed this husband by both lapels as he all but slammed him against the wall lifting his feet up off the floor as he screamed at this man, "I tell you your wife is going to DIE if you don't let me give her blood" those were his exact words and the man still would NOT give consent for blood. The doctor tried to get a court order as fast as he could but sadly this lady who had just given birth to her first and only child, DIED because of a man made interpretation of the Bible that says you can't be given blood products. I was one of the nurses in that delivery room and witnessed this debauchery. Everyone was affected by this for quite some time. After this tragedy the doctor added a new question to his office forms to be filled out for new patients, it said, "Are you a Jehovah's Witness" If you answered yes to that question, he said he was sorry but you would have to find another doctor to deliver your baby. All this took place in the 70's and I don't know if you could do that in this day and age what with all the crying discrimination or this, that and the other but he did it back then. I was there. I saw it. I know this is a long chapter here but I just wanted to tell you about my first hand experience with a Jehovah's Witness that cost a sweet young lady her life. I have no idea what happened to that husband and his motherless child but the sight of that doctor trying to save this poor lady was something so profound I have never forgotten it.

If you are not part of a local assembly of believers, you are disobeying God.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
The very next verse begins one of the most terrifying warnings in Scripture.
Further, God established the roles of Elders and Deacons, and of Pastors/Shepherds. He also gave commands on church discipline, on gathering, such as what we are to do when we gather, and the public reading of Scripture.
And even further, 1 John shows that one evidence of having been saved is a love for the brothers, for believers. If we would rather avoid believers and associate with unbelievers, that is sin, and perhaps we are not saved, as that is an evidence given of one who has been saved. And if we justify avoiding believers, or 'churches' as many have stated, because of their faults, we are the one at more fault. I made the excuses before, I found all the problems with the others, I even felt justified in doing so, and I was sinning very heinously, in many aspects.
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; and being subject to one another in the fear of Christ.

Obviously, that's not a Christian way of doing things, and to even remotely associate that with "church" is ludicrous.
A "church", by definition isn't someone who just decided to start one in his living room, it's a "called out assembly of born again baptized believers who's head and founder is Jesus Christ"
Not some guy in the 1800s who just decided to start one.
Not some woman who mysteriously began speaking in tongues.
Not some man who decided to remove all instruments from worship.
Not some music program that focuses on performance in the level of a concert that is more interested in "making it's members feel good'.
Not some guy who found "mystical tablets"
Not some organization who's "boss" sits on a throne in Italy and tells the world what to do.
Not some place where people act crazy and roll around on the ground.
Not some place to pray someone out of hell.
      Not some building without windows.
Not some organization that has printed periodicals that dictate new teachings directly from god (lower case 'g' intended).
Not some group that can't tell the difference between a lower case "s" and an upper case "S" when it comes to testing the "spirits" and "spiritual" gifts... Not testing the "Spirits"

This story pulled on a thread. When my wife divorced me 13 years ago I looked for help from the people in my church that I had worked for and with for 20 years. I was ignored and shunned. At one point I had wanted to commit myself to full time ministry. I walked away from it all and never looked back. I could not trust the people who I thought were my brothers and sisters when the chips were down. It was a hard thing to discover. Been alone for most of the last 13 years, until I got remarried recently.
Think maybe it’s time to start looking again for people I can rely on. They are hard to find.

There is a variety of radical Protestant groups in the U.S. They were the force that built this country. Each group has its own beliefs on how to be worthy of being saved by the God while also building their community and prospering in what historically was an incredibly difficult environment. Your story makes me think that perhaps your group believed that seeking support is a sign of weakness that would destroy the community if everybody gave in to it.

The heart of man makes idols. Some idols are about our ethnicity or culture, others can be about creating a utopia here on earth. These idols are shared by leftists and conservatives alike. God desires that we worship Him in truth, forgetting these idols and responding to His truth in faith. I totally relate to your history of belonging to a church that is bound by do's and don't's. I grew up in a church with so many don't's and do's. When my husband was emotionally, spiritually, financially, sexually, and physically abusive to the point where I fled with my 4 children, the church and my family disowned me despite my physical signs of abuse. When I went through cancer, they never asked if I needed help or was okay. That is legalism. God really had to yank me out of that family because there are good things that kept me tied to them, just as you recounted. The tell-tale signs of betrayal come when there is a crisis. I am still looking for Bible believing Christians that support a single woman. Even though I am 65 years old, I am still considered dangerous. Thank you for this video, sir. (I saw it on my feed weeks ago and didn't watch right away. That was a mistake.) This subject, particularly the relying on others part, has really been weighing heavily on me lately. You see, I was diagnosed with a rheumatological condition at age 29. (Turned out I'd had it since age 18 undiagnosed.) I limped (literally, come to think of it) through continuing to work for about a year until I actually had to call my father to come help me walk from my truck to the front door of the house one day after work. (I couldn't do it. My ankles, knees, and hips had swollen and stiffened up that much during the ~30 minute drive home from working a 10 hour shift on concrete floors in a warehouse.) Long story short, that event convinced me I had to take the illness seriously and it ended up leading to filing for disability. Without going into great detail (in an already too long comment that nobody will likely read anyway) I'm now 44 years old and I have pretty much been living life as if I am dead already for the past 14 years. (I deliberately hid myself away. I didn't want to bring others into my "misery", having "lost" everything I had ever been able to do. Basically, I no longer even felt like a man anymore.) But, then I met my now wife a little over 5 years ago. She simply wouldn't take no for an answer when I told her she didn't want to be involved with a "broken down man". We had pretty much been living like most folks until last year (2020). Now watching things I have read most of my life in the Bible, many of which I couldn't wrap my mind around exactly how they were going to unfold while growing up, begin to unfold in such an unmistakable "convergence", it has lit a fire under me to teach my wife everything I know about just basic things like hunting and being more self-reliant. But, I'm struggling mightily just to stand and walk to take/show her.
ALL of the above to say... I've come to the point now where I think I've finally realized that I'm just not a lone wolf after all. I've started reaching out to friends and family and I'm trying to build that sort of "support system" you're talking about. For me, a big part of the problem I have is the general sense of "worthlessness" from not being able to physically return "favors". (I'm not going to be able to grab a toolbelt and help someone in that way anymore... and I struggle greatly just knowing that, much less encountering from time to time. It's torturous to see so many "lazy bums" today who just don't "want" to work for anything while I'd give almost anything to be able to again.) But, I guess I'll just have to find other ways to help others because I feel better about reaching out to others after watching this video than I have in years. I have to do it for my wife... and myself.
May God continue to bless you, good sir.

God gives us all gifts. I've struggled with pain and health issues since 2003 or earlier. I'd been a very busy do everything Mother of three. It was just like being hit by a semi and I didn't know what to do or who I was anymore. I still had my belief in God Jesus and Holy Spirit. Which saved my life. My faith and God's absolute goodness and love has been my compass and my supply for everything I've needed. He hasn't let me down. It hasn't been as I'd liked in many ways. Still in the end it's brought me into a closer relationship with Him which is far more important. The Word of God never stops giving. I'll never know it all or even pretend to understand it all. But I believe that I have a purpose on the planet if I'm still breathing. I may not be as fast and able physically as I was but oh well! That happens to most of us as time goes by. I still believe in the power of God to heal me. I'm believing for many many things and for many people. I have always loved people. Most people. Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself. I'm in! Whatever He says goes!
We all have gifts to give. Even if it's a smile or a hug, a you sure look nice today, it's amazing how hungry people are for simple human kindness. Lonliness is rampant! I know the sting of it myself. But I know that I have a purpose and a destiny and I'm listening for God to lead me there. I have that hope. Good days bad days I know God is for me and that makes all the difference. And so I seek the Lord. God bless all y'all out there. I'm praying for you all. I couldn't have imagined the things going on right outside my apartment door just a few years ago. Times are hard for most people. I don't know how people live without the Lord in their lives. I couldn't. Color me grateful! And never give up. Blessings are around the corner. I'm counting on it! 🙏🙏🙏

    Dear Cody
I have been a long time subscriber to your videos/channel and have really enjoyed your content. As of recently I have seen a major shift in your videos that has made me uneasy. I have thought on this a while and wanted to make a well informed response to your videos, not to speak out of emotion but rather love. This shift I have noticed is one of fear and violence rather than of Christ-like love. In many videos you have talked specifically about preparedness such as body armor, night vision, huge ammo stock piles... etc. Im a gun loving Texan just as much as the next guy, but there comes a point at which our "preparedness" becomes our God instead of our devotion to Christ. I am encouraged that you feel so strongly about protecting your family and friends as do I, but the recent video for a call to militias has overstepped those bounds. I agree that God called his people to battle in certain instances in the Bible, but He also called us to Peace just as many times. Many examples in History show greater "manliness" than taking up arms; Martin Luther King Jr, BonHoeferr, Corrie Ten Boom, etc.
The night Jesus was arrested (Luke 22) one of his disciples cut off the ear of a guard but Jesus told them to stop what they were doing and further went on to heal the ear. Other examples of Gods men not taking up arms would be (Daniel, The 3 in the fiery furnace, david against saul). God says that He has appointed Government's (1 Peter 2) and we are to obey unless it contradicts His Word. I would argue that many of your so called "contradictions of Gods word" are only your interpretation. The whole mask debate is not as cut and dry as you make it. Paul says that to those who do not do what in their heart they know they should then to them it is sin. If a christian believes they should wear a mask to help their fellow believers then that is up to them. My wife and I attend a church that briefly wore mask, but this does not mean we should leave this church as you would call us to do. A mask and sound theology are independent of each other.
A true manliness is someone who is likened after Jesus. According to your videos, a man is someone who:
    - lives off the grid
    - wont allow his wife to have a job
    - has body armor
    - has a militia
    - doesn't do dishes or laundry
    - has his "kits" in order
    - etc
these things are not what true manhood look like. Many great believers live in the cities and are doing amazing work for Christ even if they have "help their wives with some house duties". I would urge you to reconsider putting fear into your subscribers about going into a city without body armor or a full gauntlet of weapons. Put your faith in Christ that he will protect you. There is much work to be done in the cities in America and Im afraid you want no part in helping the lost in those cities. I live in Dallas and I can guarantee you that I can walk through downtown without getting shot, I do it on a daily basis. It is not as bad as you make it out to be. There is a time and a place for defense but don't get that confused with going out and looking to start a war.
Finally please consider how your words are affecting all of your subscribers. Many of them are young men and they need a true example of what manhood should be. A true man is not scared of every noise and has to go grab their gun, or person wearing a mask, but one who looks like Jesus and has no fear of what humans may do to them. Matthew 10:28 says "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell".
    In love,
    Jesse

Some of my ancestors were Cathars. These people were Christians without hierarchy or accumulation of church wealth. It sounds like you have moved closer to this mode of worship, in other words, practicing the faith without needing the backup of a large organization, or strict rules which do not aid in our walk. All excellent ideas. As far as being able to defend ourselves, I’m all for that too. I think if I lived around there where you are, we would eventually be in the Sam alliance. All the best.

Cathars are *NOT* Christians. They are Gnostics and virtually all Christian denominations view them as heretics, like they view Mormons.

@Lancter Mann --- there was more to the Cathars than just the lack of hierarchy. They rejected the idea of a "good creator" - it was Gnosticism. I too have a Gnostic view of the material order.

      @jacobhayes4085 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Catharism, along with other gnostic sects, is also dualist and would technically make you a polytheist and *not* a Christian. You’re allowed to dislike hierarchical church structure but Catharism is much more than that. It believes that there are two gods, one good and one bad, which might make sense at first because Christianity has Satan as an evil power, but he isn’t equal to the one true God. Truly believing there are two deities means you don’t believe God is all powerful because he’s been set equal to another and this pridefully puts mankind as the highest power, choosing between good and evil, rather than the Christian idea that good (God, truth) will always win and that evil (Satan, lies) has no creative power and only exists as distortion of good.

    • @michaelallen1154
      @michaelallen1154 ปีที่แล้ว

@@jacobhayes4085 it's not "prideful" that Gnostics realized that Adamkind's sense of justice and rightness was derived from the highest spirit in existence. They looked at the material order with that sense of justice and rightness and were left with the realization that there could not legitimately be a creator deity who was all powerful, all knowing, and all present - unless that deity had some serious character flaws. This is called the crisis of theodicy.
The Orthodox church side skirted all of this by declaring that in some future state, everything will be set right, despite the entire New Testament's insistence that the parousia would be in their generation - even from the mouth of Jesus.
But, the Orthodox church also had to blame the predatory nature of survival by killing sentient life to preserve sentient life on Adamkind - they extrapolate this out of the Genesis 3 narrative, which doesn't work for a conceptualized thinker because this is the psychological phenomenon where the abusive, neglectful, addicted parent blames the child for the parent's own inability to create a positive environment.

    • @jacobhayes4085
      @jacobhayes4085 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@michaelallen1154
“Adamkind’s sense of justice and rightness was derived from the highest spirit in existence” Yes, this highest spirit is God.
“Unless that deity had some pretty serious character flaws” A monotheistic abrahamic God has no character flaws. That’s kind of the foundation of the religions. To believe otherwise is putting man’s valuation of character traits above God Himself, which is pride. It is incredibly prideful and foolish to look at the whole history of mankind and take away that God is the one with character flaws. That higher standard of character that you’re judging according to is God Himself. The flaws and shortcomings you might observe in Him are actually in ourselves and taken advantage of by Satan, who happens to be another fallen creature consumed by pride. Theodicy is not a crisis unless you’re playing the blame game and unable/unwilling to accept responsibility for your own nature. In life that’s either immaturity or insanity, so it has no place in any decent theology. Theodicy is easily resolved when you stop asking why God permits evil and start asking “why do I choose evil?” God gave us a free will and we often use it for evil. It’s that simple. You don’t need a second deity to explain pride and temptation, just another creature whom we call Satan. Because he isn’t a god, he has no creative power, only manipulating that which God has already created.
Orthodoxy isn’t really skirting anything because God exists outside of time, and that future where all is right is just a part of the eternal present for the all powerful God, regardless of what we as humans observe in the dimension of time that doesn’t affect God or His nature and will.
God was fully capable of creating a positive environment, which He did to the fullest extent and allowed Adam and Eve to live in the garden. They also threw this positive environment away, don’t forget. Mankind has a fallen nature, where we must acknowledge that our own free will brought about punishment. Adam and Eve did not check in with God and let their own Pride get them kicked out of the garden. The same way Cain did not seek out God and immediately resorted to murder. Life is full of random illogical inconsistencies, and any functional adult can grapple with that, unlike Cain. He did not talk to God to try to understand, he just killed. When a person resorts to murder, we don’t blame their parents for “failing to create a positive environment”, we throw the person in jail because everyone knows murder is wrong. You only blame God in this situation if you’re already predisposed to believe God is faulty and man isn’t responsible. Remember that Satan is called the accuser. He is always wrong but gets by through accusing and shifting blame to anyone else.
I’m hoping you one day find your way back to God from the heresy you’ve fallen into. Prayers and goodbye.

Actually bud yeah kind of messed up the story. The people that came to Abraham after he rescued his nephew Lot, were the people from the city that was attacked. They just wanted their family and would allow Abraham to profit from having rescued the city. Abraham was not willing to profit from doing the good that he intended to do anyways. He gave the 10th of the goods to Melchizedek, they gave the rest to the people who it belong to.

Near our farm, in the middle of our neighbours farm is an old Empire Loyalist cemetery that was used by a family until the 1920s. I’m from central iowa and there are small cemeteries in corn fields or in the woods by river bottoms all around the state. One particular one was written about in an old history book of the county because it was a pioneer cemetery and some family friends that are farmers said hey I think that cemetery is probably still there. It was there neighbors and they knocked on the door to go check it out and of course the landowner knew it was there but very few people knew it exists. They went back there and I went with them another time and all the graves are from children who died from childbirth or various diseases the pioneers got in the 1850s when much of the west was starting to get settled. It’s really hard to read those old gravestones but it’s sad because most of the graves are kids. Much harder times back then

The other day speaking with someone of God religion salvation, there was just so much error in the views expressed. Where did that come from?
I spend hrs most days do exactly this, addressing the questions people have to do with church. If it was easy I don't think there would be hundreds of denominations saying no this is the truth.......
So when you say find a good church do you mean one that fits your particular views? Or do you mean one that teaches those taught by Yashua? Or do you like so many think those are the same thing?
I would ask if you know enough to say so then what are you there to learn?
      Anyway just a few thoughts.

@@patrickedgington5827 Brother Patrick, the true Church is the universal body of Christ, indwelled by the third person of the Triune Godhead, the Holy Spirit. This Church is both seen and unseen. I believe brother Wranglerstar was a Seventh Day Adventist, or some kind of spin-off. Sounds different here, but I thought I heard him say that. Maybe he's an Adventist now and some other worse sectarian member as a kid.
As for your Yahshua, you mean Jesus, and it's ok to use the Hebraism, but the New Testament was written in Greek. In fact the Hebrew Scriptures are unknown in any ancient text, but only the Septuagint. The Masoretes did re-create the canonical OT, and the Isaiah scrolls from the DSS do match perfectly with the MSS, a testament to their diligence as scribes and the supernatural preservation of the scripture.
The Lord's will is without a doubt unity: "I would that you be one even as I and the Father are one."
Paul says, "I would that you say the same things."
Now this isn't the case, but there is more agreement today on the basics of the Faith than probably ever.
It's so important to keep the narrative arc of the new covenant in mind. The New Testament follows after the creation of the Church by many years, through a process of selection and preservation much like that which codified the OT canon. By the second century AD we can be fairly sure that there was a compiled New Testament much like our 27 book one.
So we only know the teachings of Jesus by the scripture. Josephus is hardly a witness. There really isn't anything else extant.
But it's important to keep the cart behind the horse.
So, I do as you do, spend hours a day arguing for the inspired truth of Christ according to what is written, and I appeal to history as well. I would love to answer any question you can pitch at me. Give me your best curve ball. And then warm up for the batter's box, and I'll ask you some questions.

@@duncescotus2342 No, I mean Yashua, most defiantly not Jesus. Now some will argue over the vowel (e) rather than (a) but the sound is an (a) and there were no vowels in ancient Hebrew, so that’s open to debate but what is not is the name itself…. Sure, the scriptures were written in Greek; is that what you are reading?
The book of Ιησούς του Ναυή; the book of Jesus? Or do you refer to it as the book of Joshua?
Why anyone would wish to use a name other than that which He was called is beyond me? The only reason I can think of is that they don’t know better?
My Name is Patrick; I lived in Almaty for a while were the (i) is sounded as a hard (e) and yes, they called me Patreek but they didn’t call me Jake? I don’t know what Ιησούς sounds like in Greek, I do know Jesus sounds nothing at all like Yashua.
As for the denomination Wranglerstar grew up in; I didn’t go into that. His current views again that is beyond the scope of my original comment.
I did ask what is the true church and sure it’s the body with the infilling of the Spirit….that is the correct definition but all the denominations; hundreds, will tell you that yes that is their view?
Now the SDAs will also tell you they are the only ones getting saved? They follow the law you see and most others don’t and so there you go?
The Mormons will tell you….no its just them after all they have two books and the rest of us just have the one….so they have a more complete revelation???
I understand these are fringe views and most are closer to the center but they are there, separate from the rest for basically similar causes….and even if they all did agree and they all did talk the talk it would not mean they were the true church….
That must be defined by biblical faith and you bring up faith?
My finding when it comes to faith is that while everyone talks about it few if any can properly define it….
Some can and I do come across its correct use every so often but rarely.
I would say if a person can at least point to it and properly speak to the what, how, and where, of it they at least have that going for them. Again that happens very rarely…..

@@GameTimeWhy Well to find it you are going to have to understand what it is you're looking for. All those views, all saying no not that way this way. My wife asked me, why am I any different and the truth is that's a fair question.
When I speak to most believers the language they employ is generally the same, but what is not is their expectations.
Some will say no one really hears God these days?
That is not scripture. Yashua said my sheep know My voice, and they follow me.
Sin is.....that is sin was a problem. Many focus on it, make it the measure, (Lordship salvation) and again sure sin is not good but it is also not our problem. Yashua dealt with that at the cross. He did so because we could not, so if that's what going on with a group I would say they are not the church.
There are those that think God is a talisman of sorts and through that they have power....again that sounds close, there is power but the power one has in the Spirit flows past you not through you.
The true church loves the Lord not power, not works, not an assurance of salvation, they love Him the person.
To love Him you have to know Him just as you would a brother, a father, a friend. So many believe and think of that as knowing, talk of it as knowing, when in truth it is knowing about.
Then others who have heard of Him, who have believed come knocking at their door to know more, and they are welcomed, told yes we know everything you need to know to be saved. Yet they are blind thinking they see.
If you think God is real why not seek Him out? Why not ask Him? Why look for Him in religion?
Not only does God speak in a voice you can recognize, if you are not hearing Him you are not His.
It makes no difference what you know, what you do, how you sing, or what great works you think you have done.
Many will say to me in that day LORD did we not do all this in your name?
Even as they are being turned away they are still sure of themselves? So much so they question Him? These will never see the truth and man they sound so convincing. Nothing is more convincing than one who is so sure.
But the true church walks in the Spirit, they are not believers in the Spirit they have no need to be, they live by faith.
The true church must know what that is?
The lost do not know. They think both are the same thing.
      True...They are difficult to separate.
All are believers both those with faith and those without.
The difference is where that belief comes from. For most, it comes from an argument.
That intellectual agreement with the word is not faith, and will not save anyone. At some point we were all believers like that and James says to do that, to be that, is to do well, but even demons do as much and more. They believe and tremble.
A saved believer comes to their belief from faith.
The key to the door is FAITH
what it is what it is not most of all where you get it and how? That is found in scipture.....so my wife asked and the answer is I am not saying this is the way scripture is saying this is the way.
From a personal encounter with God.
So the true church learn about Him and believe, at some point they desire not the knowledge of Him, but Him, and that cry out, casting everything else aside in their hearts.
Imaging Mary seeking His body at the tomb. All she has left of Him now, and even that is gone?
How is she seeking Him? That is a picture of the true church. Find that.
