I LOVE adp. Everyday in office is assoluta for me. Fresch and sopy, non offensive and very light in the air. The blues is just fantastic, I spay myself and everyting else in the house with them in the summer.
My absolute love from the line and the best in my opinion my signature scent for summer and spring is colonia intensa 2 great noses behind it 👍 just love it

I tested Colonia Futura in-store last month and it was love at first sniff. Bottle worthy and easily one of my favorites of 2020. I'm also impressed with the amount of naturals in this fragrance. I’ve tried Sandolo for myself it’s not a traditional sandalwood I eventually sold it. My current choice is proraso red aftershave. Give it a try 14 bucks or so on Amazon

Just to give you an insight about my taste, my scent of the day is Paco Rabanne pour homme from an '80's bottle, so this new flanker sounds right up my alley 😉 I have to give it a try, to see also if it is similar with Tom Ford's Beau de Jour. Essenza and Fico di Amalfi are my favorites from this brand, but I haven't tried Sandalo yet, and if I like it, this may be added in my collection since I am a sandalwood fan. On another note a video about your favorite sandalwood colognes would be great 👌
It has some similarity to Tom Ford BDJ if you omit the patchouli from BDJ, but It smells more like Dior Eau Sauvage with traces of Chanel Pour Monsieur EDT, modernized with amped up performance. Francois de Mauchy (former perfumer for Dior) created Colonia Futura. It's probably my favorite de Mauchy creation (that statement will probably be a shocker for fragcom). I wonder if he was inspired by Eau Sauvage. I think Futura is fantastic. What was your impression?

Again, thanks Max for this excellent video! My collection of AdP scent family is for now "Colonia", "Colonia Intensa" and "Colonia Club", three a great scents for warm time of year. Because you mentioned in this video seven scents, I see that I have't not even 1/2 of what it is on market. But one question for you Max, because that scents are not blue line, that scents is for more wide time in year for using?! They cover and spring, and summer and autumn if I am understand correctly?!

I get a vibe of Chanel Pour Monsieur EDT mixed with DIor Eau Sauvage but with amped up performance. Also a touch of Tom Ford Beau de Jour (minus patchouli).
My best house. 1st niche house I bought (Intensa and Fico di amalfi) Also have on the radar Quercia and Sandalo( which I have a sample, and at my surprise itnis the most one I got compliment). Great video Max. I have colonia and essenza which are amazing scents. Question...I have seen 180ml bottles of colonia the artist edition for about 65 ( uk pounds). Some people are saying its the same as colonia but in a different bottle...but fragrantica list different notes. Do you know if they are different at all?

Definitely Colonia Futura! It's similar to both Eau Sauvage and Chanel Pour Monsieur but with better performance. Futura stands on its own as a great fragrance. Have you tried it?
@@Mark-jp3rg Hi Mark, thanks for the response. I have tried it, and to my nose it's very good. Not quite the one though, in my perception, but definitely has a lot of similarities. There's something herbal and green that sticks out in this one that sets it apart. I have yet to find any from AdP that I actually disliked though.
Aromas are as subjective as it gets. I get no darkness from Essenza. I actually find it powdery and too unisex for my taste. That's why I went for the Intensa. The best of the line.
An Acqua di Parma GBUOU 2.0 would be nice but I'm interested on the 'Signatures of the Sun' collection, I own Oud EDP and I love it but I'd love to see your take on it and the others from the line: Leather EDP, Sandalo, Ambra, Vaniglia, etc

@@eldartop1634 Tastes are different. Futura and Essenza are my favorites. I'd give both an A+. Pura is unique but also wonderful. Another excellent release is Colonia Quercia. Distinctive note: cardamom. Impressive and underrated.
I recently ordered Unpredictable Pure, 'cause I had my friend ask the guy at the cologne shop at the Mall, which one are people the craziest about? It must be brand new, cannot find any reviews on it, not even on Basenotes or Fragrantica. All I know is that it is on its way.
Max, do you find you draw more compliments because you're known as a "fragrance guy" in your workplace and other familiar surroundings? I got the occasional one, but I think it's because most people where I work and hang out aren't that interested in frags so it's "out of nose, out of mind" so to speak.
Colonia is the original, classic "cologne." Quercia has cardamom as a distinctive note. I think it is quite impressive. Parfum? Don't know that one, however Essenza has perfume-like concentration. It is one of the more complex, strongest, best performing flankers. It and Futura are my favorites. Sample all of these, along with Intensa and Pura.
@@tonyjemz777 I picked up essenza few days back...and while I was there saw a clearance deal on intensa but they didn’t have a tester to sample it. I really like essenza (had sampled it before) but was just wondering if intensa is worth the pick up and is not redundant
@@faheem1992 that's great, Essenza is a perfect and beautiful Barbershop fragrance. If you like a Essenza you will love intensa it's more like Eau Sauvage with an Italian twist!

I wish that you could throw some light on the Note De Colonia line from the house, as it hardly gets talked about.
That's probably because the Note De Colonia line is a bit more expensive than the other colonias. I too would like to hear more about that line.

With Futura I get a Boise du Portugal vibe or Chanel pour monsieur type of feeling only it seems a bit of a lighter scent. Same wheelhouse if you will

They are different, Essenza is darker and longer lasting.

@@eldartop1634 Tastes are different. Futura and Essenza are my favorites. I'd give both an A+. Pura is unique but also wonderful. Another excellent release is Colonia Quercia. Distinctive note: cardamom. Impressive and underrated.

I recently ordered Unpredictable Pure, 'cause I had my friend ask the guy at the cologne shop at the Mall, which one are people the craziest about? It must be brand new, cannot find any reviews on it, not even on Basenotes or Fragrantica. All I know is that it is on its way.

Max, do you find you draw more compliments because you're known as a "fragrance guy" in your workplace and other familiar surroundings? I got the occasional one, but I think it's because most people where I work and hang out aren't that interested in frags so it's "out of nose, out of mind" so to speak.
Is Aqua di Parma Futura comparable to Tom Ford Costa Azzura? Which one would you prefer for a hot climate?
I prefer Futura for hot climates. I also prefer Futura period. It also works in temperate, spring and fall climates. It is signature scent worthy.

Do you (or anyone) know the difference between AdP Quercia Colonia & Parfum? Any help is appreciated
Colonia is the original, classic "cologne." Quercia has cardamom as a distinctive note. I think it is quite impressive. Parfum? Don't know that one, however Essenza has perfume-like concentration. It is one of the more complex, strongest, best performing flankers. It and Futura are my favorites. Sample all of these, along with Intensa and Pura.
Which one do you like more, intensa or essenza ?
That's like asking do you like sweets or Candy.. Test them both because both are Perfect.
@@tonyjemz777 I picked up essenza few days back...and while I was there saw a clearance deal on intensa but they didn’t have a tester to sample it.
I really like essenza (had sampled it before) but was just wondering if intensa is worth the pick up and is not redundant
@@faheem1992 that's great, Essenza is a perfect and beautiful Barbershop fragrance. If you like a Essenza you will love intensa it's more like Eau Sauvage with an Italian twist!
