So many comments - but the lead singer lived with our neighbor Frankie (a girl) back on Cochran St in LA. Forgot about THAT. I'm thinking about bar karaoke in 2001 and not the early 90s
Don't worry about your bowling game. Join the league. Do it. Bowling is like fishing. It's just something to do while you drink beer, so you aren't just drinking beer by yourself on the porch doing nothing. You can say you are bowling instead of saying you are getting drunk.
This song has reminded me of a murder case ever since I heard about the case. That lady who invited an ex hubby or bf ...dont know which...over to get a little drunk. Only they got a LOT drunk. And she connivingly convinced him it would be funny to zip him up in a suitcase. So he sat inbit and let her zip it up. Then she sat there for an hour filming him begging to be let out because he cant breathe. But she gorgot she filmed it. The next AFTERNOON she called the cops claiming it was a game but she fell asleep with him still in the suitcase and he died. They believed her right up until the found the video of her literally taunting him as he suffocated and begged for help. I honestly think she didnt mean to fall asleep. And she was still legally drunk when she called the cops and they came. But unintentional homicide is still homicide and alcohol has never been successfully used as a defense for killing someone. In fact it hurts your chances of catching an empathetic jury.
I love this song and it reminds me of my younger, ummm, more undisciplined days. I got arrested for passing out, outside of a bar, and the cop pretty much humiliated me, rightfully so (looking back at it). But after my parents came and got me out, I crawled out my window and started walking back down to the police station to "tell them off". Thank God my parents realized I had left the house and my dad caught me before I got into some very serious trouble.
Haha my brother and I had a dive bar, and this used to be our karaoke song we would do together. Oh man thank God before social media. We were LIT!
