- In this episode, we travel to South Carolina to rescue a forgotten and abandoned 1969 Chevy Camaro. Chevrolet's answer to the Ford Mustang, the first generation Camaro has become one of the most sought after pony cars in the world, and now we have one! After being neglected for years, and changing owners several times we decide to give it a real home. It's bad folks, real bad, and its time someone gave this iconic muscle car the love and attention it deserves.

That's a cool find. Already has some go fast parts on it, got really lucky with the 12 bolt. The wheels are Welds, just have Cragar center caps.
I would name it KRUSTY,can’t wait for the restoration

Hey bud! Brings back some memories. I bought one just like it in 1988 and it was a puss case also. Mine had a running motor/4 speed but there wasnt a panel on or in that car that wasnt rusted out. Bought from original owner for $500 and worked on it four years and almost gave it away. 😢

Like most projects you might end up calling it "Money Pit". But unlike many project cars finished 69 Camaros are like gold... Enjoy the journey!
Hear me out. I’d call it something like “Cam-hero” since you’re it’s Hero and saving it! Nice it came with the floor pans and extra parts. That’s a great start.

The wheels are weld wheels made by Craiger. I sold the car to the person Issac brought it from. It came from Girard, Ga.not Waynesboro.

Diamond in the rough, save her and breath life back into her I've had 2 69 camaros,I just can't seem to find any in Northeast Florida, call her blue on black ,blue car on black top,or how about blue by you, of course thats if you paint her back original blue ,I like the white stripe to,its going to be a cool addition to the garage.
I'd call it "mine". 🤣Looks like a fun project even with the floor pan sheetmetal work you have ahead of you. The only problem I see will be living up to everyone else's expectations. People get weird around these more popular cars when they see other folks doing things they don't "approve" of.
Brings back memories of my first project that I hauled home from central Georgia near Forsyth. The trip and the comments from folks who saw it on the trailer made the effort worth it.

I bought a 68' Camaro almost 3 years ago. I have over 25k in parts. I also had to put in new trunk, roof skin and floor, Once the pieces start going in your going to want to finish it ! "Ginger". Name for ur car. All the red that showing on it !

Hello! Hammers Garage. Since this car is not a SS Model what package is it & what V8 engine do you think it had in it?
It appears it was just a base model car, likely with a 307.

@@hammersgarage it's not quite dust yet lol but the whole bottom of the car is rusted out and the seats are so bad they're down to the metal and springs I don't know how long it's been sitting but I wouldn't mind getting it out of there if I had the money and knew who owned it

Hey internet cowboy you pointed to the totally wrong area for the vacuum line penetrations in the firewall. You don't even know the important points to show on film. I have obsessed and owned 31 Camaros since 1979 in high school. It's all i know, my first love. I left all the other cars to everyone else. Now I can not even afford a project because of stupid people like this who are in it solely for the money and not the love. I can't help but think about all the people you fked over in life to get to where you are today. Karma is an unavoidable beatch though.
