This build feels incredibly strong. Still on a 4-link and crushing everything in early maps. As a tip for anyone playing this, the three Spectres should be Carnage and Host Chieftains from Ashen Fields and a Demon Harpy from Scourge. The Demon Harpy floats, has long tentacle hair and makes big loud screams that increase phys damage for everything it hits. Try to be quick to get it within the timer. They don't seem too rare and appear also before maps.
Nicely done. Also thank you for pointing out that the whole set of primordial jewels is gonna cost about 1ex. I remember last time I played stone golems, it was not smooth before getting the whole set, and the feeling of needing to grind more currencies to buy them is not fun, so I will league start with skeleton this time.

This is one of best build I have played in POE. I played since closed beta and not played a build that your can have crappy gear and still be able to own everything. The only issue is that I have are the price of Primordial Jewels. I only need 1 more Jewel to have the 6th golem. Nice guide to the build!!!!
This will probably get buried but your item filter is broken. It's highlighting quivers and showing useless items while missing important ones. It's showing normal items and only highlighting some rares which should all be picked up for alteration fodder. It's also missing important early currency and links, for example: Item Class: Helmets Rarity: Normal Battered Helm -------- Armour: 13 Evasion Rating: 13 -------- Sockets: G-B-R -------- Item Level: 9 That is a chromatic, but it's hidden in your filter. And this next wand has the sockets we are starved for early but has no highlighting in your filter: Item Class: Wands Rarity: Normal Driftwood Wand -------- Wand Physical Damage: 5-9 Critical Strike Chance: 7.00% Attacks per Second: 1.40 -------- Sockets: B-B R -------- Item Level: 10 -------- 11% increased Spell Damage (implicit) I'm pretty handy with FilterBlade so I'll make my own filter, but someone using yours as is will have a hard time in the first Act unless I'm missing something.
You don't have to pick, you can just switch later. The main necro builds this league are kinda connected and you can just progress through them. Just start with regular skeleton/zombie or pure skeleton. Farm the currency for skelly mage jewel. If you like it then keep farming and get the skeleton penetration chest. If you don't like then just save for golem jewels, cold iron points and everything else you might need.. And after you farm a lot of currency with golem/mages you can just do something broken like herald of purity and 1 shot bosses. You can play 3, 4 builds with necro and you won't need a insane amount of regrets to do so.
Usually, you have a leveling guide in the *notes* section. I've clicked on the first League Start POB - Necro (perhaps it is in the one you are doing that is "in Process" I gave up last league. Hoping this league is better! Thanks for the guide.

In all honestly league starting golem elementalist was crazy easy. Getting the 2 early golems with the ascendancy and 2 more golems with the clayshapers (2-4 chaos each so real cheap) made the early game incredibly easy. Used 2 stone, 1 chaos, and 1 carrion early and the survivability wasn't bad at all.
Pretty sure it's 2 carnage cheifs from act 2 first, then 2 carnage and 1 host from a7 ashen fields. they are too squishy and not worth the time before act 6 at least. throw the gem in an off hand and level it until then.

@@ElSabio159 Sure, in act 2 you get the specter gem. grab a wand or whatever and put that in your weapon swap. Level that up until you hit act 7 Ashen fields. Once there, you can either kill mobs or use desecrate. You are looking for HUGE monkeys called Host Chieftan and Carnage Chieftan. make sure raise spectre is in your action bars, press A or whatever you have set to your corpse show button and use the Raise Spectre skill. Make sure to link your raise spectre to at least life tap and minion life. get meatshield as well for some added defenses. This will cause the carnage chiefs to grant frenzy charges when they are close to / attacking enemies, hosts will grant power charges.
Flesh and Stone has had its reservation reduced to 25% (from 35%), so there is even more free mana to play with -- probably don't need enlighten at all.
Hello Vikton, can you please clearify something. I tried to get or craft Unset rings with chaos, life and one res and it's expensive for a starter. Also it's not matching with the gear path in your excel sheet? I guess it would be better to follow the excel instead of the POB here?!
I feel I have to mention that the "90%" phys reduction is not really "90%", it's based on how hard the hit is. Maybe you already know that, but probably people will be misled by your statement.
@@AGVenge At 16k armor and taking a 8,000 damage hit, the phys reduction would be 61%. That's a lot less sexy to show off to viewers than "90% on a budget at all times with no flask trickery!"
You can't go wrong with skeles, zombies, wraiths, and desecrate/holy totem/fire dash to face roll through the entire campaign in ez mode. Pet classes are so fun and easy to get through the boring stuff.
Is Kingmaker still good for the fortify on animate? I imagine the crit bonus on allies is still worth it, just wondering if the fort benefit is worth expediting the investment.
should still be worth, in the patch notes it said that it grants a constant 10 stacks of fortify, which will be a lot more than you'd be getting from a shield charge with the new changes, don't see why it wouldn't be worth

from what I see when I compare both PoBs I can't see the survavibility increase, where exactly does that come from? First version had capped res, chaos res and 80ish % phys reduction, 5k hp this one has capped res, chaos res, 85% ish phys reduction and 4.3k HP, also for which spectres to go for? The a2 monkey, a6 monkey and the last thingy I can't remember what was?
Wouldn't you get more mana if you put two 50% auras pride+determination with enlighten and move dread banner+generosity to flesh and stone+maim setup? Whats the point of having a 10% reservation banner in enlighten link? Maybe you wont need the determination 25% reserve mastery and could take 30% reduced extra damage from crits or squeeze another small aura instead.

Skelly mages only require dead reckoning to get going, so I think they are better on a budget. Stone golem requries anima stone + primordials, usually costs a bit at league start. So I think you will get farther on skellies with low investment.
Hey man, build is great but I have a little problem. So I have enlighten 4, all mana efficiency from pob and I still can't use Pride, Dreadbanner, Determination, Skitterbots and vitality. I can run all of them except vitality because im having like 50 mana or so. Even your pob is showing some mana problems. I'm not using awakened support with skitterbots and still problems. I even took determination mana efficiency (u don't) and I can then run all of them but I have no mana for curses and flame dash. Can u check ur pob and fix it? Thanks
Well dang. I had a build all set and ready to go but I really missed golems so one google later here I am. Now I gotta switch! How do you recommend leveling this?
I leveled with zombies, skeles, and holy relic to keep them alive. Switched to full golem with zombies when I got 2 clayshapers (2-4 chaos each) so they are pretty cheap and help a lot. I'd level elementalist and switch to necro later because the bonus to golem passives and bonus golems through elementalist help a ton easy
Get a better helmet with at least +2 minion gems and also at least +16 minion life to minion skills. This csn be crafted with bound fossils on an elder helmet

So i have been playing this buidl since start of the league. Mapping feels ok but when i try to do sirius they just randomly stop doing damage to him. I bricked 2 sirius that way, idk what i am doing wrong.
@@Chris.P.Kreme90 Plus the less damage and health modifier on chain. It's a huge damage loss unless you get a perfect roll, don't use other minions, and are stacking harmonies like crazy. Or are playing a normal elementalist.
I have a question, ive never had problems with accuracy with golems before but im only at 85% accuracy for them and i dont know how to get it to 100 your pob base accuracy is higher than mine somehow? any way to fix this thanks
Okay hot tip, don't put Arcanist Brand on a Clayshaper. It triggers the Summon Stone Golem *on the weapon* Just spent 15 minutes wondering why my 5-link stone golems keep being replaced by unlinked ones. Thank god the tooltip for golems shows the links.
Hi, I've been playing this since league start, and I'm getting regularly one shot by enemies. Seems like lightning damage is specifically bad. Struggling pretty badly late game at the moment. Damage seems ok, but, I'm regularly having to use 3+ portals a map. Just doesn't seem tanky enough in a lot of situations. Any tips?
idk if you're still having problems, but i'm doing necro on the leaguestart POB and getting my uber ascendancy + 3 min endurance charges + setting bone armor to my left click helped out. also have my rumi's to cap phys reduction / give block chance, and flasks for immunities. only ~4.2k life with my bad gear but reduced my deaths a lot.
I've played your last CarrionGolem build to level 95. I have to say: You should talk a single time about the life of all the minions. Returning to Act7 every 5maps to resummon spectre is extremly annoying. Still no word about it.
just use desecrate in your hideout, it will bring up your last used spectres. Ive experienced the same thing with support spectres being a little squishy in the past. I think they are in a better position now with the minion defence masteries. Grave intentions and minion leech are very accessible, and they are almost resist capped.

I don't understand why you suggest using damage when you use minion skill recently, as far as I can tell that will almost never be true, you are only casting arcanist brand and flame dash and since neither of those are minion skills it won't help much
You claim there are no "PoB Shenanigans" going on, but unfortunately that's not true. For one "Maximum Pride Effect" is completely unrealistic, try standing next to teleporting bosses like Sirus, Uber elder or Maven for 4 seconds straight. Same goes for any other boss with phases. And even if you could stand next to that boss for 4 seconds, you will not have the maximum effect for at least those 4 seconds, which is (hopefully, if you have decent dps) a large part of the time you actually spend fighting that boss. So yes, ticking "Maximum Effect" there just artificially inflates the damage number in PoB without reflecting what is actually going on in game, therefore "PoB Shenanigans". An other thing is what you calculated to be your physical damage reduction. Armour is very efficient against small hits, but is very bad against large hits. By default, PoB calculates your Phys Mitigation as if a white monster of your current level would hit you. However, that is not what actually kills you in the game. So you have to decide, will you put a realistic number in the "Enemy Hit Damage" bar in the Configuration Tab in order to actually reflect your mitigation against hits that are actually dangerous? Or will you leave it as is and tell people they will have 90% phys mitigation even tho when it matters they will only mitigate ~65% of the physical damage? You opted for the latter, therefore again "PoB Shenanigans". I'm not saying the build is bad or anything and if you hadn't tried to hammer home the point that you do not do PoB Shenanigans i would have left a like and be done with it. 65% Phys Mitigation as a Summoner is quite good and even with Initial Pride effect the damage is more than servicable, a new(ish) player following this guide will have a good experience. But you can not truthfully claim you are not doing Shenanigans in PoB, if we define those Shenanigans as "Using PoB Configurations to artificially inflate or deflate numbers on paper, without being able to achieve these numbers in realistic scenarios". Because that's what you did, although to a lesser extent than a lot of other people. On a Sidenote, i really wish PoB would give us a slider or something for Pride Effect so you could decide what amount of pride effect exactly you want to simulate. ~1.5 seconds of standing next to an enemy would be about what i would go for.

You can get about 3million DMG without the anima stones.

It's supposed to be a lifetap gem. Blood magic got split into 2 gems an update or 2 ago

good thing, enlighten is actually much rarer now. Prices on it in 3.15 were pretty nuts, even for lvl 1

Its probably still worth it for crit and cull, but the fortify effect has a very small radius. You are rarely in it,

The items on this build are far inferior to the ones on the "original" build.. most probably that's what he meant

If you are epileptic, don't go for skelemages.

Stone golems, I’ve made it to maps already with 5 stone golems and 1 chaos golem. It takes very little gear to make it strong

I can run all of them except vitality because im having like 50 mana or so. Even your pob is showing some mana problems. I'm not using awakened support with skitterbots and still problems.
I even took determination mana efficiency (u don't) and I can then run all of them but I have no mana for curses and flame dash.

How do you recommend leveling this?
I leveled with zombies, skeles, and holy relic to keep them alive. Switched to full golem with zombies when I got 2 clayshapers (2-4 chaos each) so they are pretty cheap and help a lot. I'd level elementalist and switch to necro later because the bonus to golem passives and bonus golems through elementalist help a ton easy
Well, my AG and the spectres keeps diyig all the time i t16.. even white maps.. i cant find a way to fix that sadly
Get a better helmet with at least +2 minion gems and also at least +16 minion life to minion skills. This csn be crafted with bound fossils on an elder helmet

So i have been playing this buidl since start of the league.
Mapping feels ok but when i try to do sirius they just randomly stop doing damage to him. I bricked 2 sirius that way, idk what i am doing wrong.
Any chance you will update last leagues totem build? Freezing pulse / ice spear?

It just means they use life instead of mana for their skills. Makes them cast frenzy and power charges more often
Is there a reason why we are not using the Primordial Chain amulet? Isn't +3 golems more damage than +2 to minion lvls.
you lose your other minions tho.
@@Chris.P.Kreme90 Plus the less damage and health modifier on chain. It's a huge damage loss unless you get a perfect roll, don't use other minions, and are stacking harmonies like crazy. Or are playing a normal elementalist.

I have a question, ive never had problems with accuracy with golems before but im only at 85% accuracy for them and i dont know how to get it to 100 your pob base accuracy is higher than mine somehow? any way to fix this thanks
Okay hot tip, don't put Arcanist Brand on a Clayshaper. It triggers the Summon Stone Golem *on the weapon*
Just spent 15 minutes wondering why my 5-link stone golems keep being replaced by unlinked ones. Thank god the tooltip for golems shows the links.

2 rare wands are better than cold iron points. But that's min maxing. 2 cold iron are great and should be your middle ground purchase

Were now using flesh and stone instead of skitter for the same dmg. And we get determination mana efficiency mastery and we can run it all

Hi, I've been playing this since league start, and I'm getting regularly one shot by enemies. Seems like lightning damage is specifically bad. Struggling pretty badly late game at the moment. Damage seems ok, but, I'm regularly having to use 3+ portals a map. Just doesn't seem tanky enough in a lot of situations. Any tips?
idk if you're still having problems, but i'm doing necro on the leaguestart POB and getting my uber ascendancy + 3 min endurance charges + setting bone armor to my left click helped out. also have my rumi's to cap phys reduction / give block chance, and flasks for immunities. only ~4.2k life with my bad gear but reduced my deaths a lot.
I've played your last CarrionGolem build to level 95. I have to say: You should talk a single time about the life of all the minions. Returning to Act7 every 5maps to resummon spectre is extremly annoying. Still no word about it.
u know that u can revive your dead spectre in the area it just died, no need to go to a7
just use desecrate in your hideout, it will bring up your last used spectres. Ive experienced the same thing with support spectres being a little squishy in the past. I think they are in a better position now with the minion defence masteries. Grave intentions and minion leech are very accessible, and they are almost resist capped.

I don't understand why you suggest using damage when you use minion skill recently, as far as I can tell that will almost never be true, you are only casting arcanist brand and flame dash and since neither of those are minion skills it won't help much

Everyone has sworn up and down minion damage is dead because of the huge nerf it took last league... Why do you have it?
Some of us likes the minions play style. Man's just trying to make it work for us.
You claim there are no "PoB Shenanigans" going on, but unfortunately that's not true.
For one "Maximum Pride Effect" is completely unrealistic, try standing next to teleporting bosses like Sirus, Uber elder or Maven for 4 seconds straight. Same goes for any other boss with phases. And even if you could stand next to that boss for 4 seconds, you will not have the maximum effect for at least those 4 seconds, which is (hopefully, if you have decent dps) a large part of the time you actually spend fighting that boss. So yes, ticking "Maximum Effect" there just artificially inflates the damage number in PoB without reflecting what is actually going on in game, therefore "PoB Shenanigans".
An other thing is what you calculated to be your physical damage reduction. Armour is very efficient against small hits, but is very bad against large hits. By default, PoB calculates your Phys Mitigation as if a white monster of your current level would hit you. However, that is not what actually kills you in the game. So you have to decide, will you put a realistic number in the "Enemy Hit Damage" bar in the Configuration Tab in order to actually reflect your mitigation against hits that are actually dangerous? Or will you leave it as is and tell people they will have 90% phys mitigation even tho when it matters they will only mitigate ~65% of the physical damage? You opted for the latter, therefore again "PoB Shenanigans".
I'm not saying the build is bad or anything and if you hadn't tried to hammer home the point that you do not do PoB Shenanigans i would have left a like and be done with it. 65% Phys Mitigation as a Summoner is quite good and even with Initial Pride effect the damage is more than servicable, a new(ish) player following this guide will have a good experience. But you can not truthfully claim you are not doing Shenanigans in PoB, if we define those Shenanigans as "Using PoB Configurations to artificially inflate or deflate numbers on paper, without being able to achieve these numbers in realistic scenarios". Because that's what you did, although to a lesser extent than a lot of other people.
On a Sidenote, i really wish PoB would give us a slider or something for Pride Effect so you could decide what amount of pride effect exactly you want to simulate. ~1.5 seconds of standing next to an enemy would be about what i would go for.
