I oil my gun the same way, I'm just a little more meticulous with the extra oil wipe down. Love how quick and easy you made it look. Oiling a firearm properly does not require a long amount of time.
thecouldntbe have you seen Gunblue490 videos? If not take a look on TH-cam. This guy know his stuff and is very interesting if you like to watch gun and rifle videos. He shows a video on how to lubricate a gun. You will enjoy and get some very much needed knowledge. In the search bar in TH-cam just put in Gunblue490.
One should read page 28 of the owners manual. There are six contact points Smith &Wesson say to lubricant, the four frame rails and two areas on the barrel.
The way my dad does it he takes it apart when it needs to be cleaned but if he’s just oiling his gun he will just rack it back and put some in the thing that ejects the bullets (I don’t know what it’s called)
Use a Q-tip. You can get to all the specific parts without wasting oil and getting it all over the place.

You dont oil the spring on the barrel?
Is that all the oil you use on the inside? Very precise.

CLP
If you have a California gun you have to leave the magazine in. depress the tabs drop the magazine then slide the rail
Forward
Wot
Yeah it ridiculous I hate California 🤷♂️
just cock it and depress the trigger, then drop the magazine and do the tabs/slide, its not that much of an ordeal.....
Who’s checking in Cali? 🤣🤣
What type of oil are you using?
CLP
Motor oil works just as good. If not better
what if u dont oil the gun can u still shoot it? and is it dangerous if u dont
Its just like a car, yeah it'll run without oil, but not for very long 🤣

the extractor
The ejection port
what kind of oil
Motor oil works better.
I prefer dry....
Mind telling me why?
It's ok to over oil
No
Not good way
way to much oil.
2:00 wipe off excess
@@deasttn way too much to begin with and in too many places.
I spray mine down with WD40 and give it a wipe down and done
wd40 is a cery bad oil to use as it will break into seals and oil parts that shpuld never have oil on them. like your bullets...
Wow!! Very bad idea.
Don't need a drop on each surface. That's to much. Use a q tip
