This issue is more complicated and engrained than surface level. Slavery did many things, but one of the lasting effects was the division in the African American race. You had field slaves and house slave…..division. You had plantation owners raping the women slaves, hence, mixed babies, to be raised by the black women / black families….which led to other division. The vast systems in place causes many issues within the African American communities….don’t blame one another (as you can clearly see in the video and in comments)……really learn the history of blacks in America, and truly learn the history of where a lot of slaves came from in Africa…. You will have a greater appreciation of black people and of yourself if you’re black….and that is attractive that not only might you appreciate being with a fellow black person, but you won’t even care, if a black person decides to date outside of their race or if you decide to do that.
