I think there are three main reasons, first one being validation. We are so desperate for others to respect, notice, and love us. Hence why we buy their expensive brands, or invite people to the cookout for silly reasons. Second reason is the representation of black men compared to black women. Males are supposed to be masculine, while females are supposed to be feminine. Black being masculine and tough is a black stereotype. This is attractive to women because this type of man will protect her and protection is key for a woman. On the other hand, black women have not been shown to be feminine. They have showcased to be rude, disrespectful, and sassy. This links to my first point about validation. Because of the way black women are perceived, non black male executives and owners don’t marry them, and so black men (seeking validation and opportunities from these men) avoid them too. The third reason is interests. Many people have no problem talking about the black fathers who were not there for their kids but don’t wanna talk about the mums choosing these type of guys to begin with. Often black women go for the black man that hustles, gets with many women, or been in and out of prison, instead of the “nerd” for example. While the other women actually like black nerds and intelligence. So when these nerds grow up and become successful, it’s natural for them to go where they feel loved
This is always a complicated topic. 1. There is a small sense of frustration when a successful black man is with the others because most of the time the others don't like the black women. They like and enjoy our sons/brothers/cousins/nephews, but hate the mothers, the sisters, and black females that helped groomed this black man into what they appreciate about him in the first place. Another part is a black man becoming wealthy and getting with the other is a subliminal message that the black women doesn't deserve the wealth that he has now accumulated even though black women helped him get there one way or another. He sends a message that his black nieces, female cousins, sisters only deserve the bottom tier black man and the others get our best and brightest. 2. In America, the system is set up for black men to be separated from black women at an early age, especially if he shows potential at being a star athlete. They surround him with the others, which have been trained to cater to that athlete....not the person. I had a brother that went through this. Looking at history, this system made our men unemployed, then offered our women welfare ONLY if the man was out of the home. While it sounds disgraceful, this is how black women became this so-called independent. It was to show our men that we were capable of holding it down while they were away, but this mindset has morphed into hating black men, which I don't think it was meant to be. Because we know our history, in America, and the efforts this country has taken to divide and conquer the black family, is the reason why black women get ANXIOUS, NERVOUS, sometimes angry about our black men dating the others....we always suspect there is an agenda behind it...sometimes deadly agenda....it's hardly ever for genuine love. Their wealth goes back to the others and the others get to enjoy the success that black women (mothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, black classmates, etc) help build just for the others to swoop in when all the hard work has been done to mold & shape this black man into the man they get to enjoy. And if you look hard enough, they same is happening with successful black women. While we have the option to be with whomever we want, we can't ignore that there's an systematic effort to keep successful black & women apart. You have to be intentional when it comes to preserving black greatness...otherwise you will get distracted into being with others and thinking your own kind is worthless or classless.
Over 90% of Black men who are dating or married, are with someone who is also Black. But if you hear BW tell it, every Black man who ever lived is dating out. Women like the one in the video only ever notice a select few men, and those men just happen to be dating out.
11:30 It comes from Daddy Government and feminism. Black women chose assistance over having the fathers of their children in the home. Black women bit harder than other women on feminism. Black men have found that their options are plentiful and saving themselves is > than saving the community. Everybody can't be saved. Everybody doesn't want to be saved.
If black women chose government assistance it meant the men who fathered their children werent providing food or shelter for them. Kids gotta eat and a useless man has to go.
People ALWAYS forget about social class. Particularly when it comes to race. I don't know why... Especially when social class shapes out behaviour much more than skin tone. Also, I think a (western) black woman's "toughness" is a consequence of not ever feeling safe because (most of the time) the protective presence in the home...the dad, was never really present. If the (single mother) stats are accurate that is.
In my opinion I believe for some its simply the fact that you see someone with another ethnicity and it stands out and raises questions because of the observers preconceived notions. The same person observered with a different ethnicity is likely same person who wasn't seen before being seen with any person in particular. Sometimes you attract people that find you inspirational and other times you'll find things that are different that may appeal to your curiosity. People may find you physically attractive but boring or uninspiring. They may feel that you are not exciting or all that intresting, curiosity is what feeds a person's intrest if there is no curiosity between the 2 parties than the relationship will likely drift apart. So in conclusion as a person who has observed this so called behaviour of black men as example for dating interracially do you believe that the person you believe should be with person would find that man all that intresting, if so why or why not? And why are you only curious to know now that its got your attention?
Those are the men blk wombmen never paid attention to, they call them lame & corny. Blk women stopped noticing me in my mid 20s when I stopped dressing thuggish and became more responsible adult.

I think all of this discussion is overblown, and its largely bc these discussions almost never involve a black man who is cureently dating or married to a white woman. We gotta stop talking at these men and very often overanalyzing narratives as to why, instead of talking to these men and letting them tell us why in their own words and based on their own life experiences. And aslo using the experiences of exceptional black men to kinda of tow the experience of the everyday brother, who is with a white woman Because now it's gotten to the point that it is so hard to believe that a black man that is what the white woman is with her, because he actually just likes her, it has to be that he has a problem with black women or hes trying to feel closer to white male privilege, which is kind of what irked me with the comment about it being about class. No, it's like how, when black women will say. No I don't care who you marry. Just leave black women out of it, yet there are so many examples of famous black men who have not publicly at the very least. Say anything about black woman. That that means them or puts them below white women. Or the one that they're married to who aren't black and yet black women will still come with the same energy to them that they have for the men who do put down black women in favor of white woman and it just goes again to show that in the culture of black woman at least they just don't believe that a black man can actually like a white woman.
