I am so excited to share this simple up-do with you guys. I get a lot of requests to do hair tutorials for short hair, and I am so happy to share this hairstyle that works on, long hair, medium length hair, and short hair (it’s actually easiest on short hair).
I have also had a lot of requests for more lifestyle videos, and I love that idea. I am moving within the next couple of months, and I find out today if I get the place I really want, so positive thoughts! If I get this new place I will have my own office, and more space, which means I will have more time to create videos. So please share with me what video’s you would like to see, and also what video’s you enjoy watching the most.

My short haired sisters:
Do the original ponytail highish--braid it tightly
do all the other steps
fold tuck and pin the braid/various hairs

I have lots of short layers and it didn't turn out well -.- no updos work with lots of layers in your hair

I know how you feel. I just used, like, every hair pin I have
Messy buns work really well even with layered hair. Put your previously curled hair up in a pony tail, grab thick strands and twist, grab a few of the hairs at the tip of the twist and pull the rest of your hair towards your scalp, secure with a bobby pin. Continue with the rest of your hair until the look it completed.

umm... well I tried it and I have shortish hair. Its about 3 inches past my shoulders and it didnt work very well. Im not sure if that was me or not... just saying. Looks beautiful on you anyways. xox

Love! What do you ask for color-wise when you go to your stylist? This is my dream blonde shade (I have naturally dirty blonde hair) but I can never seem to achieve this color from my stylists.
Have you tried using violet/purple conditioner and shampoo? That really helped take my hair from brassy dirty blonde to a more true blonde :)

I would love to see you doing that on short hair, a long bob, for example. You said it would be even easier to do... No way that would work on short hair ! Especially not when it's cut in layers ....

Elizabeth Hall spritz a little bit of hairspray to it to get it to stay better. Then put a bobby pin on each side to make it stay put.

My hair is too slippery to create any look. Bobby pins won’t work for me.
What if you have no hair ? .. my hairdresser keep saying my hair is "scandinavian and delicate" .. which we all know is hairdresser speak for "bald" ... help a baldie out !
This is hands down the easiest hairdo ive ever tried, and i tried a bunch of 'easy tutorials' on youtube, and i dont even do this kind of hairdo on daily basis. I do this for my graduation and its so pretty! It would be prettier if you use hairpin atop of the bun. Keep in mind if you do this for graduation, keep it a little bit lower for the graduation cap to stay.

for me it's easier to make a french braid and just tuck the end in, than this. first of all, i can't do it, my hairs are thin, and maybe not that long enough (medium length) for this. the bun won't even tuck in because idk, and then i don't have enough hair to cover the mess behind. in the end of trying it around 5 times, i ripped off quiet a lot of hairs and gave up on this idea.
im not made for making cool stuff with my hairs :c

Just tried it. It worked really well until I reached the last step of rolling the ponytail to make the bun. I just don't understand this part and how you do it. I tried a couple of other buns, secured it with lotss of Bobby pins, all in vain. The bun kept falling off. Could you explain what exactly you do after rolling the ponytail
Maybe you have a heavy hair like mine. Mine won't hold even with 20 bobby pins. Try applying hair wax maybe?
