Another GREAT reaction! I love your uninhibited reactions because that’s how I feel inside when I watch/listen to Pentatonix. I watched about half of the video on my own and Turned it off, deciding that I would not be able to listen to this song. I live with major depressive disorder and this has been a rough week; I have lain in bed thinking “gosh it would be nice if I died in my sleep.” The lyrics are too close to real to be healthy for me. But I took a chance with this reaction and was able to (positively) experience the song through you. So Thank You!! It is beautiful but I will have to wait for better times before I listen to it again.

There's a video of an interview with Roland and Curt of Tears for Fears in which they explain that, according to "The Primal Scream" by Arthur Janov (which inspired the name "Tears for Fears" in the first place), the most dramatic dreams actually release the most tension. Every member of this group is so incredibly amazing and versatile. It continually blows my mind how insanely talented each member is. I know a lot of people gave Matt a hard time when he joined, just because they loved Avi so much and missed him. Avi is incredible. There’s no denying that. But I feel like Matt may be a better fit. I feel like he’s more versatile. He has such a soulful sound, no matter which part of his range that he’s singing in. And I just LOVE when Scott takes over bass while Matt takes lead. It’s truly seamless. And Matt/Mitch harmonies weren’t something that I was aware that I needed. But, now I know. 🤯

I think it's strange that I get more emotional about songs when watching others react to them lol I was fine when listening to the song before, but watching you react to it gave me the sniffles and a tight throat lol I do that all the time with reaction videos to moving songs
“It’s not even mixing” oh... IT IS. Whoever mixes their stuff is a god. Listen closely and you can notice beautifully subtle pushes or pulls on their voices to bring them above the track or put them into the background to make you subconsciously focus on a particular voice.
Jase, I suspect you are usually a rocker? Definitely great, but with all your PTX reactions, particularly the first one and this one, I see a veritable kid in a very new and more great than ever candy store, with every PTX song you watch. Really love it!

I can't even describe the feeling of agony and sadness and little desperation I felt every time I've heard this song today (7-8 times with your video, I guess). It gets inside you, takes all that is buried, and puts it all out by goosebumps and tears. It's amazing. And scary at the same time.

As soon as I saw that they posed this, I was hoping that you would react to it!! Amazing...incredible....fantastic. Sometimes they just leave you speechless. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. At the end, they turned off all mics and got everyone quiet and sang Light in the Hallway with no sound equipment. It was breathtaking. I bet they would do that with this song live and it would be AMAZING.

What makes Pentatonix so amazing is that each of them has the voice of a soloist, but each is willing to subsume to the good of the whole. I also appreciate the deep emotion they are able to put in their music!

When in doubt, I always go to something the Brits might say, and their most common accolade seems to be: BRILLIANT! But whatever you say, it never adequately describes the brilliance of the PTX sound, their delivery and interpretations. And yes, 2020 has been a mad year. My solution, besides listening to heavy doses of PTX, is to take a walk outside, to breathe deeply, and to focus on some point of exquisite beauty. Lately, here in California, it's been the reflection of a red sun on the ripples in our little lake, but it could be the exquisite beauty of a small weed pushing up from a crack in the sidewalk. Find your beauty spot, focus, and bring it with you, back to your own particular mad world.

Amazing...incredible....fantastic. Sometimes they just leave you speechless. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. At the end, they turned off all mics and got everyone quiet and sang Light in the Hallway with no sound equipment. It was breathtaking. I bet they would do that with this song live and it would be AMAZING.

When in doubt, I always go to something the Brits might say, and their most common accolade seems to be: BRILLIANT! But whatever you say, it never adequately describes the brilliance of the PTX sound, their delivery and interpretations. And yes, 2020 has been a mad year. My solution, besides listening to heavy doses of PTX, is to take a walk outside, to breathe deeply, and to focus on some point of exquisite beauty. Lately, here in California, it's been the reflection of a red sun on the ripples in our little lake, but it could be the exquisite beauty of a small weed pushing up from a crack in the sidewalk. Find your beauty spot, focus, and bring it with you, back to your own particular mad world.
