  • Boom, it's 2Majista!
    Today, I welcome you to my univeristy - The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)! Although this video has been made to target Indians and NRIs all over the world (who are considering to study here), it is made in a way that can appeal to all. The reason the primary audience are Indians is because being an Indian student myself, it would be great to grow the Indian community here. Regardless, hoping this video excites you and looking forward to meeting you here 👊🏽

    Hey! I heard its hard as an international student to make connections and socialize due to the language barrier. To what extent is this true? How's the Indian community at CUHK?

    • @2Majista
      @2Majista  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brilliant question, thanks for asking - What you have heard is true. I have been lucky, however, to be surrounded by terrific teachers who have made my University experience a lot better. Otherwise, due to the language barrier, it is tough to make friends. Unsurprisingly though, when you let your grades/academic success talk...you become a magnet and everyone wants to be your friend haha! Regarding the Indian community, it's relatively small compared to other universities like HKUST. Hence, I made this welcoming video with an Indian touch to it. Hope this helps - if you have any other questions or plan to come here do let me know 👊🏽

    hey, could you please make a video on Bsc Actuarial science at the university of hong kong? I have already accepted the offer from HKU. please make a well-researched video about the scope, job prospectus, and salary of fresh actuarial graduates in hong kong. And how easy or hard is it to find a job for non-local actuarial graduates in hong kong?

      Hi @nirajsinghjnkp8 - congrats on getting into HKU and thanks for the question! So I'm well familiar with CUHK (as this is where I am studying), not too much with HKU though. I'll see if I can check it for you and get back to you here. In the meanwhile, if you have not already, check this link below which lists the career prospects: admissions.hku.hk/programmes/undergraduate-programmes/bachelor-of-science-actuarial-science

      Yo mate! I checked with the Scholarship department and they have said this: "The Chinese Government Scholarship is administered by the Ministry of Education (MoE) of the People’s Republic of China. For enquiries about this Scholarship, please contact the MoE direct." So, basically, the MoE would be the right people to check this with.

    Which university for business programme is better, CUHK or POLYU (considering the fact that even I am an international student)?

    • @2Majista
      @2Majista  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the question! CUHK does have the higher ranking in its Business programmes. However, I would say both univeristies are similar in that they do not have a large international body. However, from my personal experience, the welcoming and hospitality that an international student gets at CUHK is brilliant. The university is also expecting more international students to join in the coming term. Though, if you're looking for a mix of both; a large international student body and a strong business programme - HKUST would be worth checking out too. Let me know if you have any other questions 🤙🏽

      In the meanwhile, you can contact LCES. The Learning and Cultural Enhancement Section (LCES) is a department focused on students adjusting to and planning for university life and to promoting cultural interchange on CUHK campus. Let them know about your profile. Their email is lces@cuhk.edu.hk
