      Thank you for that info. One question about IPad. I'm looking to purchase for my studio and mobile rig build. What the oldest model IPad will work with your system now and maybe the next few years????

    • @AdamTow
      @AdamTow ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GTGTV there are features that will be exclusive to iPadOS 16.1 coming out soon, so the minimum iPad to get is one that supports iPadOS 16. If you are looking for a used iPad, the 2018 iPad Pro 12.8 will still work for many years. I would also recommend getting an iPad with a USB-C connection, so that includes the latest iPad mini 6th generation (there’s a deal on Amazon right now to get that for $399), or the current iPad Air (with the M1 chip). Rumor has it the next base level iPad will get USB-C, so that is another option for you.

    This video was super helpful. Glad to know I'm not the onlyone using an Apple TV for wireless connections to the switcher. Be aware that there's a little delay between the source & switcher. As long as you aren't trying to sync that source with a different audio source, you'll be fine though.

    Liveapp video cue tab @4:40 - Worth the price of admission when you integrate it with BMD Atem switcher channels. This is why people love software playback of clips where the software is able to communicate with the switcher. That is some mighty fine optimization. As you say so much simpler than doing it with a Hyperdeck. 👍

    Thanks Aaron. Do you have a video on network set ups for portable rigs? I’ve run into some snags building a new portable rig. One of my problems is testing on my companies secure network I’m sure. With an uplink from a venue, a router and a switch, I’m hoping to be able to get Internet to multiple laptops as well as have ATEM’s and audio mixers networked. Is this essentially what you do on location?

    Hello there. This was a great video. I had a question. My Afem mini pro is interrupted during the live broadcast, and the reason for this is that the internet is low. I often broadcast live in rural areas. You mentioned Sling Studio in this video. I think he can reduce internet traffic to 3000mb/s in sling studio? then there will be no interruptions even if the internet is low. but with 1080p60 live broadcast, the video quality is not good. I need to run the same 1080p60 live broadcast but without interruptions. Thanks in advance if you know the solution

    Q: I just got rid of internet in my building (was live streaming my wrestling show but attendance dropped because of the live stream) but everything is still connected to the router that they gave me.. but atem won't connect via Ethernet or wifi unless internet is active. Is that because of the box they gave me and should I just get a wifi router?

  • @sarcasticfpv3862
    @sarcasticfpv3862 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Quick question would it be possible to have a ethernet connection to the atem with the phone? I'm in an outdoor scenario with several modems trying to get the best bonded internet etc so I wouldnt want to add another RF ( I know it should be far apart but I think you know what i mean). There are lightning to RJ45 adapters this should be possible to directly connect the atem to my iphone 12 and run the mixeffect app?
    Edit: I'd need the mixeffect only to execute macros, is this possible with the app?

    • @aaronpk
      @aaronpk  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can definitely give your phone a wired Ethernet connection. I'd recommend connecting your phone and ATEM to a network switch that your bonded internet is also connected to, basically creating your own small LAN for all your devices.

    Hey Aaron, do you think that in future there could be a version of Live Chat Overlay for Vimeo, I love the feature that you created for TH-cam but wondered if there could be an 'open source' (forgive my tech language here) version which could be tweaked to configure for different streaming platforms?

    • @aaronpk

    MixEffect is excellent app on my iPad but I am still can’t get my head around connecting it to companion .

    • @aaronpk
      @aaronpk  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I'd consider that a pretty advanced use of it, and no need to go down that road until you get things set up well with just MixEffect by itself. Basically think of it as using Companion to press buttons inside of MixEffect. There's some things that MixEffect can do that the native Companion module for the ATEM doesn't support.

    great video as always @Aaron ! did you know if the bug that sets the recording bitrate to 0 (when you connect a new controller) its still there? i suffered one time and ruined a work, since then i feared to connect other softwares when atem software control BM is running on...

    • @AdamTow

    Question for everyone… is it better quality recording with an Atem Mini Pro directly into a San disk card or to OBS? Does the quality drop recording it to OBS?

    • @aaronpk
      @aaronpk  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would definitely record straight to the SSD, since going through OBS means you're using your computer's CPU and also you're using the webcam out which has more contrast than the main recording and streaming in the ATEM
