What makes you think it will turn into a wing?
@@zachdemand4508 it's a very flat car
2:28 cleetus so excited he broke video compression
Hot damn I did a GearVenders some 20 years ago on an 86 elco with a th400. I was able to over-drive all the gears."manual Valvebody" only problem i had was finding the oil had to go to the Stealership parts counter for the special oil.
Can we just call it the "hell camino" from now on? especially with 2000 hp
I'm thinking "The Silver Mullet" and get it sponsored by Coors Light.
@@BigLockDaddysGarage i could get behind that as well lol
@@BigLockDaddysGarage no shit that's the nickname for my 2000 z28. The silver mullet/ mullet machine
Yes finally that feeling again! Like when you started building leeroy cant wait to see this build progress videos
Definitely needed some fresh blood so the content didn't get stale. I think this is perfect.
James nova and the Elco are going to look absolutely nasty together, Can’t wait!👍👊
And james will be driving both.
celticsoldia p
5:55 dam sema car right there
Coopers under rated and doesn’t get enough respect ✊🏽 coop you’re the best man!
Cooper is a great guy he gets a ton of credit for the work he does.
As does James.
There valued and there friends.
Obviously cletus gets more air time it's his show.
Man I’m glad to hear you pulled the plug on the jet car, I’m sure these guys could have pulled it off but I prefer the race car content and that jet engine stuff is crazy dangerous
@The Bullock Family JET power isn't to bad, rocket engines are where its at, 3 jado's at 10000 pounds thrust each for 5 seconds on a '66 Chevy Impala-300 mph.It was remotely operated like a small RC car.Imagine Mullet,600 pounds lighter no need for air intake, disposable engines made of compressed cardboard and no liquid fuel or any fluids of any kind, maybe 400 mph, just sayin'
I knew there was something sneaky going on with the El Camino🔥
Yup, one doesn't just cancel a Jet-Camino for logical reasons and expect it to not go fast in a more reliable, safe way! XD
Mullet gonna get some fasts and be speed, we gotta give a hell yeah brother
On another note, perhaps this LS will get an 8-to-1 header. Not as good as a 12-to-1, but hey, its the thought that counts lol
This Camino looks freaking sweet. Love the Color and it looks si freaking gnarly. People may complain but you are the one that makes the ultimate decision. Keep doing it for Dale.
Who else wants to see James build his boat finally?
632!!! lol
100% would watch that!!
James need to build his boat i would love to watch that
Does James have a yt channel?
for real i thought i was the only one thinking this it would make some rad content as well
I'M SO EXCITED FOR RACE WEEK
I live in colorado and don't often get to travel so RMRW is my one chance to actually meet up with you guys!
The nuts holding the gear vender on are called “stover” lock nuts. 👍🏻👍🏻
Man James is a car god. Dude is a master mechanic AND driver.
James gotta grow a mullet if he’s driving race week lol
Abraham Balderas mullet and handle bars
I'm stoked that Vice Grip Garage and "Independence" are coming to race!!!! Hell yeah Brother!!!
A guy would really love to see Vice Grip Garage there at the race!
I never really hear you guys talk about suspension setups on your cars only engines lol, suspension is just as important when it comes to going quick in a straight line or round a track👍🏼
Suspension is for people who can't build engines
@@damstachizz thats about the dumbest thing ive heard in a long time
Señor Koquonfaes Spoken like an absolute, bonafide, certified, idjit who does not know shit from Shinola.
They mentioned a triangulated 4-link, at least.
Hell yeah brother!!! That’s some cool stuff you got there. It’s funny seeing a transmission that long. I’m my 2002 BMW Z3 M roadster the engine is connected to the transmission like every cars but there is no drive shaft the rear end connects to transmission tail shaft there is just enough room to connect the flanges. They have independent rear suspension. That ElCamino will be so awesome for a week of racing with that truck bed.
Love the El Camino!

Am so bored at work cause of the pandemic and was literally just thinking “dang I wish there was a new Cleetus vid” and here we are lol
Bro, sit tight ... he's posting everyday now!!
Good luck. Im waiting on an call for myself hopefully they will
Dead as don't ever lose James he makes your channel so amazing. Yell are like a marriage Idc what happens work it out figure it out and make it happen lol
What happened with James?
@@karlmiller3623 nothing did just saying I home garret always keeps him. He's an awesome dude who makes the channel
Hope*
James and Coops for the win😊👍
2 years later, Mullet's got a couple dents, carbon fibray doors, a Steve Morris big block, a bunch of wins under his belt, and runs 6.4s while hauling the Taco Bell to the shop for lunch.
Use the old body as a base for your race week trailer!! It would be bad ass!!
James put the extended El Camino body on top of the Tri-Hull and then slap the 632 in it!!! that would get some looks in the Bay. lolz...
Drinking game, drink every time he says “unit”
Unit means something else where I come from.
AAAAND.... I'm drunk.
Unit falod by brother just so you can watch another
I was already buzzing but I guess I’m drunk now
@@edthe1owapyr020 I need another 12 pack already lol
Cletus: i wanted one car with good paint.
- paints it to look primered from a distance
At 2:28 Cleetus’ excitement broke reality for a split sec lol
To protect the paint of the elcamino y’all should get someone to do like a clear wrap or something of that sort to help protect the paint even more
Christian Kunzel Xpel
Or 3m
"you and your pal Garrett" LOL DO THEY NOT KNOW?
Destroyer Grey.....Hell Yeah Brother!!! You can also see tan and some people say they see a green tint as well!!! No 632 Thank God....That thing was a dog
The color is horrible
Stop encorouging him to make cars shit!
Dave and john must be fun at parties
😭😭 How dare Cleetus paint HIS car a color I dont like...lmmfao, you can't make this shit up😂😂😂
That colour in the shade with the reflections looks amazing.
"You don't want to forget that, because then you'll have all neutrals." Yeah, just like a 4L60 LOL
Got the 4l60 swapped into 3500 dually. At least 150k Strong transmission so far, some towing in 3rd, bad mechanics nightmare.
Needs proper grounds and after a many miles, valve body O rings replaced.
DarkLinkAD “weak Trash transmissions are good because I drive like a bitch and also im a hillbilly”
Cleet, I do paint corrections and professional coatings for a living.. I have something better than a ceramic coating you can put on that clear that will make it look amazing!! Let me know if I can help you out with some
What product are you talking about?
@@GregoryVeizades. I have a few that I use but for crazy high gloss levels something like a metal oxide or graphene
You and your buddy Garret 🤣 if only there were two cleetus's
I really feel like the line between the two is not really a line anymore 😂
Hell Yeah Brother! I've always loved the El Co, that's a bad ass ride! Keep up the awesome content! Do It For Dale...
1:19 - Get well soon guys! 😂❤️
ritseee 😂😂👏🏻 I was looking to see if someone else caught that too😂
We need a counter that chimes every time someone says “unit”
Can’t wait for May
Thanks for getting it to Kevin!!
