He is humble and not arrogant like others,he knows his stuff,he has worked on lots of cars. He shows people,he doesn't slam his viewers to make himself look better.
Another real interesting video. Educational, informative and historical accounts of your friendship and Jeeps that you both have had over the years. Thumbs up! Thank you for your content once again....
Pewe collabs are always a hit. I was a kid mainlining 4Wheel magazine (and FOUR WHEELER sorry) the reoccurring sandals joke was going strong even back then. You guys have known each other for 30 years but it is a real comfy feeling having known OF you two for like 25
I never was a Jeep fanboy, but I did have experiences with them as a younger man. We used an old Jeep as an airport tug and "get-around" vehicle, that was a blast! A couple of the other Linemen (that's what we airport grunts were called), who rolled that Jeep onto it's side when they were goofing around. No injuries, just got out and rolled it back onto it's over sized tires, waited a minute to allow the oil to drain back down, got in it and started it back up, drove away, and smeared a little oil and dirt on any new scratches! Good times. I wish that I could remember what type it was, but I heard that it was a war surplus version and it had a 4 cylinder engine. Thanks, to Peter O' Knight airport in the early 70's!
31:03 this jeep is the one that inspired me at 14 to eventually find a a cj2a in a barn parked for 30 years and get it back on the trail. It had a ford 200 straight 6 with a home made bell housing adapter. The memories of articles read involving you and Rick are irreplaceable
So glad to see you guys together. I’ve known you guys worked together but not the specifics. Love y’all’s knowledge about Jeeps. Anything Jeep I am a fan. Thanks for what you are doing……. 😂 working your ass off for our entertainment!! Good job btw.
The '45 GPW will live rent free in my head for the rest of my life. You flashed up the pic from Panamint Valley, but the other one was an article about axle articulation. They hung on the garage wall for years. Obviously in the pre-internet days! We studied those pics like Moses chiseled them out on a rock!!!
Just two guys with vast amounts of knowledge hanging out and reminising. David I've got to say I like your style! Meeting your friends and hearing all the stories is really cool. Road Kill was fun but this is great, no restrictions from producers. I sure hope you continue this format when you can. My friends agree, we all turn on your channel and hang out with Freiburger!
i love you junk yard vids and this type of vid with way to much info is way i watch your TH-cam. i love dorky info that most dont care about. i hope more people like this stuff because were else are people going to find these type of info.
My father ran Armstrong Norseman tires on his 63 cj5 . Those were the best all season BIAS ply tires in the day L78 15s . I now have inherited said jeep. it still had a Norseman tire for a spare . I would love to make some tire tread sandals out of it!!
While paused at the child-like Dulcich photo I topped off my whiskey, put on my new DED shirt, and settled in for the rest of the Jeep fun. So many things to get running. Thanks David & Rick!
Remember meeting Rick in Moab when he was unloading his signature flatty in 1998. I commented it should be in the Smithsonian. He chuckled and distracted us by handing out a few Peterson's tags so we would go away. Ha!
I remember reading Petersen's and there was a pic of a K2500 winching Pewe's GPW frame straight while on it's side. Pewe is a treasure trove of Jeep knowledge.
Would love to see Ricks 45 come back to life. That Jeep along with your Scrambler are two very big reasons I'm into off-roading. See those two and Neds killer bee would be an awesome old memory wheeling trip
Dad had a 64 Wagoneer with a set of Armstrong tru tracs. That was in 77. He had done a spring over and whatever else and the front bumper was 27 inches from the ground. Homegrown camouflage and pretty capable off-road.
YEAH, I watched you two drive to Key West, great adventure! Enjoyed that one as well as this one. Anxious for the next adventure! I'll be watching got sure!
Rick's gpw was my obsession for quite a bit of my teenage years and early 20s. I could not wait to get the latest copy of 4wheel and off road. I actually bought a cj2a and a 3a to make my own version of this. Never did though and traded them for a stock car engine build from my machine shop guy (2300 ford). What was i thinking? The GPW winched onto its side for frame repair. I still remember that copy! I would say that Rick's jeep was my first magazine car crush! Lol
We would totally watch an episode of resurrecting his old trail Jeep. Might get a couple episodes out of that. Just like you did with the Wreck Runner. I actually own a VHS copy of one of those Top Truck Challenges where he drove that Jeep
I had a '64 Wagoneer that had factory barn doors. I tried to sell for a couple years until i got fed up. I cut the rear doors off and sent the rest of it to the scrapyard last summer. I ended up giving the doors to a guy who had a panel delivery wagon so he could have some extra parts.
It makes sense that old jeeps got mixed and matched and cobbled together, as they were essentially farm equipment (long before Jeep girls softened them) and sold cheap and plentifully at auctions
Also the AMC 360 in 71 72 at least maybe 73 only , uses the nail head 400 trans and te cast iron adapter . I have a nice 72 J4000 with the factory setup . Interesting detail Dave to note is the AMC turbo 400 cases tended to crack the bell from drivers side all the way up and over to pass side . Rick is correct on the turbo 400 Dana 20 adapter that breaks on wags ,trucks and the commandos .
Man, we're getting more F&F (Freiburger & Friends) than we ever got when he was tied to motor trend. Loving the direction this channel has taken.
I'd watch that spinoff channel!
Freiburger is one of a kind!!!~~~
He is humble and not arrogant like others,he knows his stuff,he has worked on lots of cars.
He shows people,he doesn't slam his viewers to make himself look better.
That's why I like the guy.
Another real interesting video. Educational, informative and historical accounts of your friendship and Jeeps that you both have had over the years. Thumbs up! Thank you for your content once again....
Love a Pewe episode, his Jeep stash is like a mystical treasure trove!
Hi Dave, no matter what you call your new show, you have millions of guys like me who love what you do.
Please keep it up.
This cinders are way too much fun flag for the win
Pewe collabs are always a hit. I was a kid mainlining 4Wheel magazine (and FOUR WHEELER sorry) the reoccurring sandals joke was going strong even back then. You guys have known each other for 30 years but it is a real comfy feeling having known OF you two for like 25
I could watch Freiburger walk around and talk at these places for hours. Good stuff
Nice, thanks
As an old time 4WOR subscriber, you and Péwé together are like old home week. Warms my heart.
Love a good Pewe appearance!
The jeep dream team is finally back, great video as always David
Truly a awesome Tour of the yard , you should have given that nice looking xj a little love though.

Love that he has that original Jeep from his youth. I let a few things go I’d like to still have!
Pewe is the realest personality on the Youthingy. We need more Rick.
31:03 this jeep is the one that inspired me at 14 to eventually find a a cj2a in a barn parked for 30 years and get it back on the trail. It had a ford 200 straight 6 with a home made bell housing adapter. The memories of articles read involving you and Rick are irreplaceable
What a neat collection of Jeeps and better yet the great stories that go with the Jeeps.
Great!! Another episode with Pewe!!
The fact that you and Rick can remember this much information is mind-boggling.
I guess im just lucky catching these videos just as theyre put out. Nothing but respect for you and the Jeep Wizard Pewe and your combined knowledge.
It's fantastic when you guys are together!!!
Flat fender paradise!
That Ford GP is sure a piece of history. Rick is a great guy, love to meet him one day!
I love all the jeeps and the history that you gents are giving. Stay safe!
Absolutely would love to see it bring Payway’s Jeep back
Yeassss!!!!
Yes! Remember it well from the magazine! Please bring it back
wow!!! when I/we watched the trip to the Florida keys video we all caught a glimpse of Pewe's treasure trove of Jeeps and... hell yeah...
That man is a legend. I could play in that yard for an eternity
So glad to see you guys together. I’ve known you guys worked together but not the specifics. Love y’all’s knowledge about Jeeps. Anything Jeep I am a fan. Thanks for what you are doing……. 😂 working your ass off for our entertainment!! Good job btw.
Outstanding episode! I can truly say I know more about Jeeps than I did before watching.
This is the content I crave!! I do not watch news or any other TV for that matter. Just content like this that makes me smile!!!
Love these videos. Find myself just wishing I was there and on those road trips ---- fantastic memories. Thanks for sharing these, David!
Glad to c both of u
Great episode. I would love to see you rebuild that original jeep. Seems like a legend
I love this type of video. The history that you guys know is just amazing.
This is the episode that I’ve been waiting for!
0:45 JP mag.....
David i really miss that one too.
We wont even talk about the legendary classics.
Revive the 45!!
That would be a cool few episodes
Continue to please us with such interesting videos! You are a real professional! 💖😘
Number 5 alive!!! Ya bot...
From the UK, remember the buick convertible episodes, when they came out. Pewe is a great guy...
Glad to see everyone meeting up again

Keep up the great work. The channel is great. Enjoying every video y'all put out there. Looking forward to seeing Fin hopefully on a few videos.
i love you junk yard vids and this type of vid with way to much info is way i watch your TH-cam. i love dorky info that most dont care about. i hope more people like this stuff because were else are people going to find these type of info.
I always enjoy looking at old military vehicles. The difference between MVs and civilian versions are usually interesting also.
Military version usually has less safety but more idiot proofing 😆
Thanks guys!
Boy that is a young Dulcich and Fred Williams. There use to be a good place by Sholo but probably only Rick could get into it.
I had a CJ-8 Scrambler that I rebuilt the drivetrain in. I loved driving it. Rick knows his stuff.
Pewe is the man!
I love Rick Pewe
Jeep heaven!
My father ran Armstrong Norseman tires on his 63 cj5 . Those were the best all season BIAS ply tires in the day L78 15s . I now have inherited said jeep. it still had a Norseman tire for a spare . I would love to make some tire tread sandals out of it!!

Love the channel...hope you and Rick get to hang out more...good times
Incredible knowledge of these Jeeps between you two.
Mostly Rick
Keep them coming. Thanks.
Thanks!
Thanks for the tip!
I remember reading Petersen's and there was a pic of a K2500 winching Pewe's GPW frame straight while on it's side. Pewe is a treasure trove of Jeep knowledge.
Awesome, the history behind these vehicles is absolutely amazing
Great history lesson by you and Rick. I wish my brain could store and recall all that info.
Nice! Everyone loves nostalgia! Especially Jeep nostalgia! 😎🌵
Stellar episode
Remember when you could buy an unassembled jeep from an ad in the back of Popular Science magazine!
Yes, and they promised that it was preserved in "cosmoline"!
Dave and Rick..........MMMMMMMore Please😁
Dude!!🤯🤯🤯🤯thanks for info headache!!!! You guys are the best!!! Thanks ✌️
Great one! Thanks guys.
yay! hanging out with Pewe!! i hope David and Rick and Steve are staying out of the flames. Cali is getting hit sooo hard.
God bless you!
This is great! This is the kind of stuff I like doing with my friends.
Cool collection of jeeps & cool stories that goes with them. Rick has my dream yard, I’ve only got 4 jeep yard ornaments, international travelall, dodge power wagon flat fender,Suzuki samari ,four 69 Chevy trucks,MG,2 ton 1947 dodge ram truck,1951 dodge M37 ,Toyotas, ford cobra mustangs, mini bikes,go carts,Nissan xterra,Taurus station wagon ,some Yamahas moto four atvs ,Yamaha enduros , and 10 hound dogs lol
Would love to see Ricks 45 come back to life. That Jeep along with your Scrambler are two very big reasons I'm into off-roading. See those two and Neds killer bee would be an awesome old memory wheeling trip
Love that collection and your friendship
Love it!

This was so. Interesting Another Win. Thanks David

There's much potential here for a build with DH Dave and one of Rick's classic pieces. That would be awesome! Loved the tour!
We would totally watch an episode of resurrecting his old trail Jeep. Might get a couple episodes out of that. Just like you did with the Wreck Runner.
I actually own a VHS copy of one of those Top Truck Challenges where he drove that Jeep
Awesome!
So many projects and so little time. Time to share with the world.
glad to see rick made it back.
man i love this content df!
Lovin the jeeps. Lets see the Roxor next time.
Much cooler than Dennis Collins Jeep collection!!! ?? Your vids always learn me sumtin, thanks
Dennis's collection is cool but for much different reasons, I love Rick's collections because they are not cream puffs but were actually used.
LOVE HISTORY THANK YOU
Absolutely great video!
Very interesting DF !!!!!

Way cool thanks 👍👍✌️
More please.😊
Another great video!
Thanks guys! I now know more about Jeeps than I ever wanted to know. 😂
I'm liking DF content greatly. ❤
This is what i aspire to be as i get older. my own stash for future builds
Cool episode thanks for the tour fellas
Awesome, I’ve been waiting for this 🙂
that was cool
