While I love the Car Shows. After this episode I think you should try doing some more one on one’s and interviews with the cars and owners. Love your work team Wasties.
In the late 80's and early 90's, there was some model sharing between different manufacturers in Australia. Ford and Nissan rebadged each other's models, as did Holden and Toyota. That Nissan Patrol you saw was likely rebadged as a Ford Maverick.
Hey Hey Birdo Gang! Thank you so much for watching and supporting us unlike that pesky Shannon’s! 🤣 In a couple weeks we’ll be in Maryborough Victoria for the Max Max 45th Celebration then we’ll be in Albury for the Van Inn Show and Shine Hovell at Tree Park Hume Dam
See the difference between those insurance companies was obvious Enthusiast, are actual car Enthusiast's so much so that they actually knew who you are, the Shannon's people clearly didn't so clearly they are not real car enthusiasts.
You found a Ford Falcon Surfaroo another ute ticked off and the only Australian ute left is the Valiant Town and Country ute and they were more than 5 made my brother had one back in the 1970s
Oh man this is hard to watch! I live in the cold north of Europe but I lived in Queensland for a while. Its my favorite place in the world. Would love to have made it my permanent home. I can just feel the sun!
OMG, the Wasties Car Club of Oz. HELL YEAH. Where do I sign up? I'm up for that ... just so long as the touching bit is kept to a bare minimum lol. Happy to sign up to the Brisbane chapter anytime :)
The “Ford” Nissan Patrol was built by Nissan and badged as a Ford Maverick in return Ford built the Falcon ute badged as a Nissan, this was back when in the 80’s into early nineties when the remnants of what they called the “Button Plan” named after a Labor politician who tried to get rid of too many auto manufacturers here in Australia, well it worked too well as now we don’t have any! but this particular era was when Toyota gave GM-Holden one of their cars and Holden built the VN Commodore badged as a Toyota “Lexon” after the dude that built the “Winged Keel” in secret that went on to win the “American Cup” Yacht race, Ben Lexon, Holden also supplied their Starfire four cylinder engine, a cut down down Holden six with a trimatic auto trans to Toyota that powered the Australian built Toyota Corona which turned out quite ordinary to say the least and should be forgotten about!
I think I've seen you , but I did some research and found this account and now I enjoy watching your videos - are you postings a video from Barossa in South Australia
22:16, just out of Memory (so not very good info here), but I know for Corsair was made few years and wasn't really replaced by anything... They say the Mark 3 Cortina but was the Corsair was also a bit controversial by it's "funky" looks...
Really, you think it's worth $70to $80k. You have to be kidding. It is No.1 off the line, it is the only original one left of 5. Even a good ute turned into a GT ute is worth $100k. Get a grip mate.
Hey Firebird, now that you have found the last car you been looking for and it will be the end of your show, "here is a plan"!! start your own insurance company. Firebird's insurance you can trust. and insure the cars you been looking at.🤔
I actually saw one a few months ago! But Mad Skelli wasn't there and I had no idea what it was or how rare it was. If I see it again I will get it! th-cam.com/users/postUgkxwOUum5t6pKKTko7_FV1QI2n2yUuxhk9q
@WastelandFirebird nice. I think there are only 14 left. I know the yellow one was destroyed in a fatal crash at the sundown raceway during a test day.
I'd love to find a French car show in Australia! Oh, and I hope you have already seen this one, lots of weird Frenchiness th-cam.com/video/jyQ2lXvEY08/w-d-xo.html

Here's a challenge for you, find the first car to do the big lap
Was that the car that came out of South Australia in the early 90's?. I think they wanted 6500$ from memory.
Year: 1969
Price New: $3000
Price Now: $70-$80,000
Engine: five-litre V8
Body: two-seater utility
Trans: four-speed
If that's all it costs I'll take it.
Really, you think it's worth $70to $80k. You have to be kidding. It is No.1 off the line, it is the only original one left of 5. Even a good ute turned into a GT ute is worth $100k. Get a grip mate.
Yeah that might be 4.9 litre V8 , in Australia 302,s are 4.9 litre .
Noooo! This can't be it! haha
❤
I clicked immediately with that thumbnail…
Seriously wild.
