I drift my mustang, but how drift cars and drag cars make grip is very similar. This finally made me understand how anti-squat is better than squatting. The description where you said that a less than 100% anti squat means the geometry is pulling weight off the rear wheels and sucking them into the car really helped me undestand.
Nice vid andrew ! I know there are alot of ppl out there that have no idea about instant center , length of control arms and angle for best traction this vid is gonna help alot of ppl good job !
ron adkins So I’m new to learning about the suspension ins and outs also. But based on what he laid out and a comment he said earlier in the vid, the stock V8 springs should be good enough for the rear along with a good adjustable shock? I know he mentioned plenty of sites I can read up on but I’m on TH-cam so I figured I’d ask right now. Lol.
Andrew I was told the front coil spring length doesn’t have anything to do with giving a car more travel. They said the strut give travel! My theory was exactly what you stated you won’t get much travel from a shorter coil spring. 12” vs 14” spring
Thank you Andrew! There is so much conflicting info out there, this really helps. Thanks for the tip on the BMR lower arm relocation also ( I don't weld, so this is awesome for a garage hack like me). I'm not a fan of doing things twice, and this is a wonderful set-up to start modeling after.
I’ve got to say, this was s very informative video, I learned a lot. So many racers don’t show their car and explain things to help others. Great video and keep em coming 👍
Awesome information man. Im getting ready to install the upr, k, a arms, strange single adjustables with 12" 250lb springs up front, upr rear upper and lowers, with stock rear springs with 1 coil cut off. Car will only make around 500whp so we shall see how she do. Thoughts on this set up? Still learning.
Best explanation I have seen! I finally understand it. One question, how do you determine where to mearsure for the anti squat? That's the only part I'm still a little confused on. It's from the bottom of the rear tire to where????. Hope my question makes sense
Hey man, ive followed your channel for awhile the content is great. Wondering what gear you run? I just went from the stock 3.27 to a 4.10 the motor is stock besides stage 2 comp cams, looking to run nitrous next year. Thanks in advance
My question is for a ‘14 mustang on stock springs and ride height. Would lower control arm relocation brackets benefit me for getting the rear tire to stick? Thanks
cool I actually understood and learned something. now how about pinion angles and front end alignment cause that's my next issue I got to deal with on my build
Thanks for the great info. I’m looking to do a build real similar to yours but have a couple questions. My suspension will be about the same and I’m running the same intake. Did you use the Edelbrock fuel rails or modify a stock set? Why’d you go with the Holley setup over SCT, Haltech, AEM, etc?
Okay I understand about the squatting but can't negative squat also be good? Sure it's pulling at the body but it also moving all the weight of the car over the tires? At least you would thing it is, I could be wrong.
andrew did you notice the wear mark on your anti roll bar from the relocated uppers at about 6:25 in the video? wondering if you have had any problems with this as i was thinking about the baseline outlaws too.
ron monahan I did have a problem with them hitting the arb when the car sat lower. I have the car raised up a bit more now and they don’t make any contact when I hit bumps
Noticed you had some rear end bracing, do you have subframe connectors? How bad was the install of the outlaw UCA kit? Ive been eyeing it for a while now.
Cody Queensberry yep it’s a che bolt in brace. It had MM subframe connectors. The control arm install wasn’t to bad the word part was getting the old bushings out of the rear end housing

@@JTheMoneyable stock "v8" springs are "just ok" for mildly built cars but if ur goals are to shoot past 600hp then replace them
I know the back of the antisquat line starts at the bottom of the back tire but how do you determine the front point?
Primitive drawing but quite frankly the best description and explanation I have seen! I 100% understood what you were talking about.
Thx Andrew for the info. I too have to rethink my rear suspension now and make new upgrades.

👀Fancy meeting you here... lol
Love your videos keep them coming
Great video! Very informative! Keep the videos coming you do a great job!
Mugiver Muscle Machines thanks
Hey Bud...I just learned something new about my car thanks to you. So I owe you a big " Thank you..!! " 😋
Thank you this was very easy to understand
You draw some good circles.
BOOSTEDVERT thanks boo
@@andrewlavender08glad I learned cars dont need to squat lol
BOOSTEDVERT exactly
Nice illustration, very helpful for my build, thanks!
Dang, use the baseline line calculator and found out mine has 135% anti squat, on a mild to car lol. Great vid buddy.
Greatt job Andrew very informative. Nothing exotic love ur setup.#2valveterrors

Sounds pretty solid. Check out BMR new lower control arm relocation for our cars. That will add some bite to the car
Great video and explanations Andrew, thanks!
Solid. I've learned alot from your videos....
the exact same suspension setup i used in my 02 gt with the exception on the team z relocated upper arms
Great video...

Nick Eminoski easier to just use a calculator like the one on baseline suspension website
This is awesome.. Thank you so much
Fox Reaper no problem
good information!
Great video! Now I understand. Thank you.

Turkeycall301 I run a 3:55
That actually helped a lot thank you

Very informative video! Are you running a spool in the rear end? What gears?
Boosted04GT thanks. Yep strange spool and 3:55 frpp gears
cool I actually understood and learned something. now how about pinion angles and front end alignment cause that's my next issue I got to deal with on my build
shoua50 I’ll keep that in mind
See you at modnationals!
SpeedProductions see you there. Swing by our pit and hang out
Will do. We will be back in same spot as last year as well. Big JDB racing tent
SpeedProductions just watched your videos. Y’all have a bad ass set up
Thanks man. It’s a lot more like work😂
SpeedProductions 😂 I bet. The faster I get and more stuff I bring with to the track makes it way more work

Andrew is the easier explainer version of Tim Mcamis 😎
Jamessr23 Tim is the man! He wouldn’t approve of my Chinese stuff though lol
Andrew Lavender ha true true. Keep the 2V rollin’ brother
What type of 60ft does your car do ?

Cody Queensberry yes they do. Great product
I remember there being some online calculators with IC, do have a site that has a calculator?
eric kirby the site I linked in the description has one
