Hello Emma, I really enjoy your vlogs they are calming and peaceful and i'm loving the Einsteins they are beautiful. I remember last autumn and winter your videos got me through the dark nights and the anxiety I was feeling at the time. Thank you xx
Thank you so much, I’m so glad to hear this. I myself struggle with anxiety massively and making these vlogs really help me! I also watch a lot of Jessie at plot 37, she is my comfort watch. So maybe check her out too over the autumn times she’s amazing xx
My heart goes out to you Emma. Not because someone stole your shovel, but because you felt ashamed to say that. It's awful to have something stolen from us, it's a violation of our space and of feeling safe. It's not your fault, the thief is the bad guy here. You just felt comfortable among fellow gardeners. Thanks for great work making videos!
This is very true. I think it has been taken, but it is possible I have misplaced it. Seems strange I haven’t found it yet though, it’s a big tool to lose and this video was filmed a couple of weeks ago…
That wood chip looks quite fine, I’d put some into your first compost bay as a first layer. Use a fork for getting wood chip. Leaf mold is the same as compost, so save space and effort by putting the leaves in your compost bin, it’ll break down quicker in your compost.
Oh Emma, you have to take care of your tools, they are to expensive to leave them somewhere on your plot, please put them in your nice shed, wack it in ;)
A proper leaf rake will gather more leaves and make it a quicker task rather than using the garden rake 😊 Great week great videos Emma have a wonderful weekend 🍂🌾💕
Hi Emma, sorry about your shovel. I hate it when people feel it's ok to take someone else's possessions. Someone took my other half's shovel from our allotment. It wa his grandads and og huge sentimental value. Sad when you can't trust the other allotmenteers. Happy growing 🙂
If u grow tall sunflowers next year, save the straight stalks n use them as a stick-y support! I used some of mine for prepping up my winter "flece" cloth. Just stuck the thing down n sawed it off at the right hight 👍 works like a sharm!
I love your videos but today I ❤ your jumper so much too!😂 All the spring bulb planting has certainly helped me mind shift ahead instead of being upset at all the clearing of beds.
hi Emma just a suggestion for you I would turn the pallets around so all the struts are inside the compost sides and use two the same size on the ends it would make more stable to cover over
I think your the Robin whisperer Emma😂. Einstein just loves you. He knows you have food for him. Maybe you should put a pink spodge on your shovel so it stands out. 😂
Hi! Great videos. Just one thing, Robins don’t eat hard seed unless it’s an emergency, their beaks aren’t suited for it. When they gather near you when you turn up to your plot, they are hoping you’ll uncover worms and other insects as you work. They’ve learned that humans with gardens tend to expose worms and insects 😁 You may be able to teach them to eat mealworms pellets but you’ll have to leave them out until they recognise what they are. It’s also possible other birds and rodents will find the pellets.
I collect my leaves by the bucketful and I roughly chop them with my shears as I go. That helps them to break down faster. If you don’t, I think you have to wait 3-4 years for them to break down!
I Lost my shears,a big pair, was convicted they was stolen, looked everywhere.foundthem in the undergrowth in the front garden.oioed them and are as good as new. X
Emma buy a small tin of fluorescent paint and paint your tool handles. Can I ask what is the point of the wire cages, you have just built a compost bay, surely it is better to just start filling it with the leaves.
I think I just want to make some leaf mold properly and see how the process works. I’ve not done it properly before so I’m just experimenting with the process! Xx
You recently mentioned you would like to have the slatted wall on your compost bins. We made them on our bins, and love them. Check out Gary Pilarchik’s (The Rusted Gardener) TH-cam channel. Go to his Vlog “Building Garden Compost Bins & A Hot Composting Station:Basic Principles & Design for Beginners. I think he goes into building the flats around 7:41. If you decide to try it, I recommend you measure the opening of each bin as you begin to cut your slats. We found one of our bins was narrower than the other two. Good Luck Glenda Murfreesboro Tennessee
She makes me feel so ancient, but I enjoy these exciting times with Emma and her adventures! sadly the red breasted male robins will be fighting for territory, your lovely feeds will become a battleground!
Coming in Mondays vlog. Took a lot of advice on board and used the ground sheet to line and then cardboard on the base.. but I’ll show this in Mondays vlog xx
Hi Emma I'm a small channel and I got a comment that I should interview my favorite people online would you be up to this please respond thank you happy gardening Richardx

Errr she’s always leaving her stuff all over her plots …… she shouldn’t have said there’s a thief on the plot she cannot prove it

Emma you should be very proud, you have a great channel.

Ditto
If you leave stuff lying about you'll attract thieves and other people will lose stuff.
Sweet peas looking fab Emma. Hopefully you find your shovel and no ones nicked it ❤
Thank you Emma and the Einsteins: sounds like a rock group😅😊.
Have a good weekend.
I have those leaf wire compost things, they are good.
It easier to collect wood chip with a fork than a shovel. Enjoy watching you Emma.
Wonderful content. I enjoy the calm atmosphere. ❤ There is already to much drama in the world.
Thank you, I agree! X

Great plan!
Hi Emma yes your videos are great so please continue doing what you do have a wonderful weekend.❤❤
You could use that rake to rake all the woodchip up 😊
So enjoy your videos 😇👍
I love your videos but today I ❤ your jumper so much too!😂 All the spring bulb planting has certainly helped me mind shift ahead instead of being upset at all the clearing of beds.
Emma look after your tools and your tools will look after you in other words put them away when you finish using them good luck 😂😂😂
Yes!! You are so right x
hi Emma just a suggestion for you I would turn the pallets around so all the struts are inside the compost sides and use two the same size on the ends it would make more stable to cover over
Good day Michelene from Cape Town. Love to see the weather change in your area and the close up shots. Love the bird song.
I think your the Robin whisperer Emma😂. Einstein just loves you. He knows you have food for him. Maybe you should put a pink spodge on your shovel so it stands out. 😂

Haha! This is a great idea!

Love that Jumper your wearing .
Enjoyed thank you.
Hi Emma , I’m so enjoying your slow down autumn vlogs 🤗🥬🥕🌶️
Yay! I’m loving making them 🥰
I collect my leaves by the bucketful and I roughly chop them with my shears as I go. That helps them to break down faster. If you don’t, I think you have to wait 3-4 years for them to break down!
Oh great tip thank you! Xx
You could put cardboard in the compost bins to keep the soil in and it would then rot down with the weeds etc that you put in it.
Misplacing a pair of scissors is one thing but a shovel 😊…l think it’s been taken
I Lost my shears,a big pair, was convicted they was stolen, looked everywhere.foundthem in the undergrowth in the front garden.oioed them and are as good as new. X

Thank you for another lovely video Emma. May I just ask where did you get that lovely green jumper and the gardening boots? Thank you so much!
Jumper is from asos and boots were gifted to me from Merry People. Xx
She makes me feel so ancient, but I enjoy these exciting times with Emma and her adventures!
sadly the red breasted male robins will be fighting for territory, your lovely feeds will become a battleground!
Ancient? No! Why?! Age is just a number. And we are all just rolling with the seasons.
Looking forward to the battle of the robins xx
