As this trial continues, it’s showing me Alec has a lot to do with this. Yes, Hannah is guilty to a degree. The video showed Alec absolutely rushing Hannah making her scramble around because something doesn’t go Alec’s way. Alec created a very unsafe environment and violated so many basic gun safety rules. And because Alec can’t maintain firearm safety practices, his negligence killed Halyna.

Alec Baldwin is obviously intimidating to everyone on set...the fact that he's rushing everyone is a perfect example of why this incident occurred. Yes...the 24 year-old, inexperienced armorer was at fault, but Baldwin, being the arrogant "big star" producer/actor could scare the daylights out of everyone on the set and make safety a secondary concern. Baldwin deserves as much prison time as the armorer.
I suspect that Sarah is responsible for that. I wonder if she made a mistake and put some live rounds in with dummy rounds and that is the reason she threw the rounds in the gun away after the shooting. But I don't know if we will ever have enough information to know for sure.
THAT is the $64,000.00 dollar question. NO LIVE AMMO EVER ON A SET!! This situation is proof of that! Makes no difference who is arrogant or cranky or bossy or whatever. NO LIVE AMMO EVER ON A SET!!! Extremely sad , needless accident.
@@josephgabriel3609, blanks are also live ammo and can be deadly if there is something lodged in the barrel. It's easy to say "no live ammo" but if proper muzzle control is used then it wouldn't be an issue and if proper muzzle control isn't used then there might still be a problem even if live rounds with projectiles in them aren't on set.

She appeared to be intimidated by Alec. He was financially involved in the movie, commanded people to do what he wanted, was domineering and aggressive. He is older and more experienced making movies and I feel like all these things intimidated her to a point where she lost sight of safety when he was directing her to move faster, etc.
I get it AB is an asshole but it’s her job to make sure that everything is on point would you not agree ? You will always find assholes in any position you go for but your job is your job.
What if that "Hurry up hurry up. Get the gun reloaded!". is PART OF THE SCRIPT? He's telling the kid to hurry up he needs that gun because the posse is still coming at them and he needs that gun loaded right away.
So, you'd agree that she would be safer to be loading the guns in the prop truck by the gun safe where everything can be locked up and she can get what she needs without leaving carts all over the set?
Alex lays on the ground directing the action by using the gun as a pointer. Once again his finger is on the trigger, though the revolver is uncocked. It's "loaded with blanks." Or not. Was she too intimidated or too unknowledgeable to retrieve the gun from him immediately at the end of the scene? His professionalism really brought out the best in her. Get two cells ready.
I think that the key concept here is "revolver is uncocked". Being a single action revolver, it's highly unlikely that the gun will be fired by a trigger on the finger. 😂😂😂. So, basically, he's being just as safe as he would be if he was waving the gun around with a finger not on the trigger. As long as he doesn't drop it in the dirt with a live round under the hammer.😂😂😂
You sure that's the trigger? Looks like a trigger guard to me. Finger is covering it up indicating that the finger is in front of and on the outside of it. Outside the trigger guard, that is.
Best testimony of the trial. And quite condemning. Clearly, Alec Baldwin exceeded his role as an actor. He was also an executive producer, which he means he hired the armorer, but he is behaving like a DIRECTOR! Very odd. He is literally taking over control of the filming and pressuring the armorer and others to hurry things up. This means he is a direct contributor to the negligence that led to the death of Halyna Hutchins... pulling the trigger was just Alec going above and beyond to ensure the most dangerous environment possible. What a mess.
The unfortunate fact is that only one person had hold of that gun when it went off and only one person shot the victim. Alec vehementely denies that he pulled the trigger but no gun is fired without the trigger being pulled. An absolute tragedy but it could have been prevented.
@@marinothegreatsan, where's the evidence that she knowingly brought live ammo? It seems like there was some evidence that the live rounds on set were reloads of a brand that doesn't even make live ammo. She may have missed a safety check that might have prevented this, but if someone hadn't have converted dummy rounds into live ammo, that might have prevented it too. Additionally, if Baldwin had been careful to keep the gun pointed away from other people, even a live round wouldn't have been deadly. Even the state's witness mentioned that she gave warnings about people being in front of the gun when Baldwin was waving it around.
Watching Baldwin handle a gun in that scene, it suddenly become clear how he could have accidently pulled a trigger whilst never knowing or thinking he did.
For everyone blaming solely the armorer, and yes she was definitely negligent, what do they think Baldwin would have done if it had been a suicide scene and he had to point it at his own head and pull the trigger ? Do they think he would have trusted that it would be fine without checking it himself ?
On the set of the classic Western television series “Bonanza,” there were no reported fatalities. The show, which aired from 1959 to 1973, 14 years and 431 episodes. Only occasional accidents , No Deaths
Ultimately, this is on Baldwin; It's HIS film, HIS set. I think the armorer's youth and inexperience , together with Baldwin's barking at everyone, cost her dearly, and he is throwing her under the bus
She was supposed to be “the expert” it was 100% her responsibility, HOW is that throwing her under the bus? If she couldn’t do it, she shouldn’t have taken the job. Just bc she knows and is related to people who know about guns, doesn’t give her the knowledge and experience of those people.
I notice many of the women in these comments defend the armorer and place the blame solely on Baldwin. It’s almost as though women have no accountability for their actions and absolve fellow women of accountability as well
She was careless and either disregarded the seriousness of her job or didn't know what she was doing. Yet, she thought she was somebody because of her dad's clout. @gnosticnight Yep. Plus, Alec hired her himself. He was the executive producer. It was his job to screen the hires. I'll be the one being sued when it falls apart or catches fire. Same thing applies here. People pretend this is hard to understand. It's not really. Hire an idiot and they'll do idiotic things. They'll share blame but you're accountable to the higher extent as you're the reason why they're there to begin with. Then he gave her two jobs. He must not have thought she was too incompetent then at least. She couldn't even handle one job. He micromanaged every aspect anyways. I think even a competent armorer would have had a very hard time on that set by the looks of things. She wasn't, and isn't ready. It's just that simple. He can try and say he didn't know any better and shouldn't be liable, but they can either use clips like this as well as his previous experience in action movies or point out the negligence of his failure to attend safety meetings for this production. Either way, "I'm just an actor who didn't know better" isn't a valid excuse.
Does anyone really think Hannah could have told Alec Baldwin to slow things down on his own movie? I understand that would have been optimal but no one in that position on their second job would have told Alec how to do his job
I think she could have, but given that she already had one boss who wanted to fire her and Baldwin likes to be in charge, I don't think she would've lasted very long after that and she might not have been able to find work in the industry after that.
@@TimothyFish In theory yes, anyone with common sense or experience should have stopped everything after the second negligent discharge and constant shooting blanks at directors, or off script. I want to know how and why live rounds were ever permitted on that set. To me, THAT is the crux of guilt or innocence. I haven't watched the trial, but IMO, whether AB is an arrogant turd or not, why is it HIS job to do the armorer's job? Isn't SHE responsible for making sure the guns have blanks? Why in the world would AB even be CONCERNED about pointing a gun on the set? If it's either supposed to be empty or loaded with blanks, how is it HIS fault the victims were shot with live rounds? Make it make sense.
What do you think Alex would have done if it had been a suicide scene and he had to point that gun at his own head and pull the trigger ? Do you think he would have just assumed it would be fine ?
Live rounds on set was a huge screw up, and the main cause of this. But there are multiple safety protocols that were not followed that would have prevented this. Alex as producer was aware of those issues, crew had walked of set because of them, he did nothing to prevent those safetyl apses. Then with full knowledge of the safety issues alex as an actor was handling his weapon in an extremely dangerous and negligent manner and killed someone. There is plenty of blame to go around, and the armorers negligent acts do not absolve alex of his.
So isn't it odd that at minute 17:30 the person in black with blonde hair that has a belt pack and is loading a gun under immense pressure from AB is identified as the First Assistant Director? Would it not have been better to have the Armorer (ie Hannah) performing this task at this time? The gun in film expert witness stated somewhere that when being rushed the job of the Armorer or any person handling firearms is to slow it down for safety otherwise people can get hurt as actually happened. I have no connection to guns nor commercial film-making so don't take anything I say here as "gospel" except what you know or see for yourself. Payers to the two shot and families of those affected. Somewhere in one of these videos, Hannah acknowledges that she brought ammo from another set to Rust and stored it in her vehicle. If we assume that the person loading the gun at 17:40 is the First Asst Director; then if that person got their belt from Hannah at some point then maybe that person loaded a live round from what had been Hannah"s beltpack into the gun at 17:40 in this video ??? In this video I don't see the loader validating each casing between removing from belt pack and inserting into the revolver.
I disagree from watching the clip. Appears to me she handed gun from her left hand to other person's left hand with barrel down and then received handgun barrel down pointed at her knee from his right hand with her left hand and walked away with gun barrel down. However, she was also carrying a shotgun barrel up approaching and departing.
See how Baldwin is so arrogant and he’s rushing the crew. This is why the safety checks were not getting done properly. he should be held criminally held liable for the whole thing.
@@DortonFarb it seems like they are trying to say the girl was confused between the blanks and live rounds. Just wondering why they would have live ammo on a movie set.
If you Google “Seth Kenny Rust” you can read one speculation. He is the guy that HG apparently bought some ammunitions from. According to her, he sent dummy rounds with some blanks mixed in. He claims he did not. But my opinion is that even if he had made a mistake, it’s still HG’s responsibility on set to check each round and confirm it’s a dummy. Apparently she shook the box, and it sounded like a lot of them rattled, and apparently that was good enough for her. She says she checked each one. But if she had, she would have discovered the live round.
If _Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?_ had a Q ‘Alec Baldwin infamously killed someone. Was it: A. In a DUI? B. Paying a Sherpa to race him up a mountain? C. Cutting corners on the construction of his mansion? D. Fighting a guy in a Wendy’s Drive Thru’ Alec is the kinda guy where every answer seemed equally likely. I’m only shocked it took Alec this long in his life to kill someone. Narcissist and psychopath is thrown around a lot now, however I truly believe Alec is a deeply antisocial, terminally narcissistic person. At this point he’s such a megalomaniac that I’m shocked to learn he even has a body, & isn’t merely a floating head in a jar like a Futurama character. Alec’s the kinda guy to start feeling down about himself, before smelling his own fart & saying ‘That’s right! I am the man!’. In stark contrast, I’m deeply impressed by the professionalism, empathy, and expertise of this witness.
Part of the anti-gun crowd is that they are also against proper gun training. Personally, I think gun safety should be taught in schools. Kids are going to make their own choices about whether they are going to use guns or not, but it would be better if they all understood how to handle guns if they do get their hands on one. Just the normal hunter safety course would go a long way towards teaching people to handle guns properly.
As I said earlier, regardless of how live ammo got onto the set, it is still the armorer's responsibility to make sure that every round loaded into a gun isn't live ammo. Hannah the Emo Girl Pothead didn't do that. She did not do her job, and someone is dead because of it. She did not check each round. She simply shook the box of dummy rounds and took that as "good enough", then proceed to snort some coke or take a hit off her bong. People can keep throwing blame on Alec (which is fine by me), but Hannah the Dope Fiend is responsible for Hutchins death.

Was there supposed to be live rounds anywhere on a set? I mean I feel like that should be the main thing to be investigated but again I don't know much about the case or how things work on a movie set.
Of course miss. Gutierrez wasn't going to correct monster baldwin....oops... I mean Mr. Baldwin. She was afraid of him.(my opinion) he was in charge. From what I read she didn't have alot of firearms experience and training. (I could be wrong) but that's what I read. She did see he was handling the gun like a moron but instead of risking her job by explaining to him that he was mishandling the gun she told the crew to move out of the way of the crazy gun welding idiot who was using a gun to point at things to explain things. Omfg. Baldwin proved that not only is he a tyrant and a jerk but a complete moron. I would venture to say that she was working everyday out of fear from a person like him. She was rushing and fumbling to grab bullets out of her Fannie pack to load that gun hastily. She ran when swit hung guns or doing something. And ran while holding guns. And ran while holding multiple guns. And ran while holding multiple guns in a very unsafe manner. It doesn't matter if they are loaded or not, have real bullets or blanks, if it's a real or fake gun..........you treat any gun like it is loaded at all times. This firearms expert has been right on the money so far with everything he has said. Excellent work by him. I'm only part way through this video but watching the footage so far infuriates me. Imo. So far I do think some of the blame is on her. Maybe she did have the training. But she wasn't following it if she did have the training. It's the armored responsibility to make sure gun safety is the number one priority. No matter what the director says. The armored can shut the whole production down if they deem unsafe practices and insubordination by cast, crew or directors to follow those safe protocols. I really don't know what to think but by watching her run and holding guns unsafe and hastily trying to reload a gun with bullets she's fumbling around trying to get out of a fanny pack that has several pockets.........I dont think she's had much training. Or has been around guns her whole life. Those bullets should have been in a box, a well labeled box from the manufacturer. Were the other pockets in that Fannie pack holding different types of rounds? If so that is so irresponsible. And by putting her under pressure to hurry up, if she did have different types of ammo in each pocket she could have accidentally grabbed the wrong one...I think most of the blame goes on Baldwin. A jerk, acting like a jerk and a tyrant. Making people hurry up and rush handling guns, and then using a gun as a pointing tool aiming it all over the place. I'm sure there were people in the line of that barrel as he was pointing it around. (My opinion of course) just a complete jerk, controlling a$$hole. Making people scared of him. I think she was afraid to speak up because she was afraid to keep her job probably and that is proven when she tells the crew to get out of the way of the idiot swinging a gun around the set. OK. Sorry about the ramblings. That's my speech for the day. Lol. I hope he gets blacklisted from making movies. As well as whatever this court decides.
Like Bentine said after the Custer fiasco, "Mistakes were made". These mistakes allowed live rounds make their way onto the set. I am really curious if anyone is investigating these rounds and how they got on set. That may lead to the true crime - using the lack of protocol and safety to commit a murder. While Baldwin (who fired the gun), the armorer (who handed him the loaded gun), share in death and injury, there is a lot more to this than stopping there with the blame.
The first lesson anyone should ever learn about any gun is muzzle discipline! Every time a gun is visible just watch how many time it sweeps or points in the direction of people! Sadly ignorance can get you killed when it involves guns!
Totally agree and totally scary. I wonder if ignorance from lack of training or careless thought. Are people on a set thinking in their minds that these guns are toys and a movie set is just fantasyland. I wonder if any of these folks who are lax on a movie set suddenly wide awake when out hunting or in another private setting. I really wonder. Disclaimer: I am not a gun owner nor have I ever been trained in gun safety so just count me ignorant and hopefully trainable.
Big difference between Baldwin and Eastwood…. “another one! come on! let’s go! reload! let’s go!”. No wonder so many people walked off for safety reasons. Eastwood would never direct like this maniac.
They should both be found guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter. In the end though I think safety was absolutely Baldwins responsibility and his recklessness contributed the most to this situation. Any time you are handed a weapon, it’s ultimately your responsibility for the safe usage of that weapon.
Seems to me Sarah has HER finger prints all over this! Sarah didn't like playing 2nd fiddle to Hannah in regards to fire arms... hence why she (Sarah) was trying to put MORE duties onto HANNAH since when it was 'props' then SARAH was the boss. @@DortonFarb Exactly. Anyone trying to place the blame on her while totally excusing Baldwin doesn’t know the first thing about basic gun safety. It was a real gun. Loaded with blanks or live ammo, it was in his hand, he was the one aiming it, he was the one with his finger on the trigger. None of this would have happened if he knew and followed basic firearms safety protocols.
The way Alec Baldwin fires his gun after the director shouted cut was bizarre. I think that action alone shows a bit of where his frame of mind was at.
I agree, her "tsking", and subtle eye rolls dimish the fact she was in charge of ammo, and a woman has died as a result of live ammo in a gun. She is acting bothered by having to be responsible for her job of being responsible for ammo on a set. 😅
Baldwin bossing the armorer is unbelievable and the fact she jumped to suit him and his demands shows zero safety they both are culpable as well as anyone who participated in this and said nothing.
It’s what you’re “not expecting” that makes following basic gun safety essential when handling a firearm. Baldwin is responsible, no matter who gave him the gun, or what condition he “thought” it was in.
@@dewilderdbetterIt was the armourer's job to teach Baldwin that a real gun, prop or not, should never be considered harmless. While Baldwin should have been more safety conscious, I do think the 1st AD and Armourer failed in their jobs to keep him in check. Of course none of this film set protocol has much bearing on the legal culpability.

It's really easy to blame one person for what happened here.. The truth is several people had to make several mistakes for this to happen... It's very simple folks.. Stop using guns that can fire live ammunition.... Movie Makers need to design / retrofit movie firearms so that they can NEVER EVER accept, let alone fire live ammunition.. I like this guy as an armorer. I wish he'd been on the set.
Main thing I want to know is how did a live round even get on the property
In this open carry state you would have to violate everyone’s 2nd amendment right to keep them off.
They were shooting crap with the pistol in between takes.
Why can't most lawyers figure out how to use a computer? They need to hire a 5 year old.
Computer literacy in children is actually horrible these days due to phones & tablets. Most 10 year olds can't use a mouse & keyboard, & have no idea how Folders work. The lawyers are doing a much better job than a modern 5 year old could do.
If lawyers knew how to use computers and do math, they would be engineers, instead of lawyers.

She appeared to be intimidated by Alec. He was financially involved in the movie, commanded people to do what he wanted, was domineering and aggressive. He is older and more experienced making movies and I feel like all these things intimidated her to a point where she lost sight of safety when he was directing her to move faster, etc.

@@blablabroz9772I don't think that is the scene where Halyna got shot in.
Great witness - knowledgable and to the point!
Ik!! Total master of his craft!
He's an ego maniac narcissist.
Guns are being played with and being pointed at people!
Mask safety, check. Guns, whatever.

Wonderful witness!
AB looks so reckless with the gun imho. I don't care who you are. Safety was not 1st imo

I noticed that!!! That’s crazy and kinda spooky actually. I hope they use it in his trial as a ‘You DO know better’!!!Moment.
1. Open carry state = live rounds are allowed on the set.
2. Actor should check before aiming even a rubber gun at ANYONE.
The gun in film expert witness stated somewhere that when being rushed the job of the Armorer or any person handling firearms is to slow it down for safety otherwise people can get hurt
as actually happened.
If we assume that the person loading the gun at 17:40 is the First Asst Director; then if that person got their belt from Hannah at some point then maybe that person loaded a live round
from what had been Hannah"s beltpack into the gun at 17:40 in this video ???
In this video I don't see the loader validating each casing between removing from belt pack and inserting into the revolver.
Also hannha pointed the muzzle at the guy as she handed the gun off 😮
I disagree from watching the clip.
Appears to me she handed gun from her left hand to other person's left hand with
barrel down and then received handgun barrel down pointed at her knee from his
right hand with her left hand and walked away with gun barrel down.
However, she was also carrying a shotgun barrel up approaching and departing.
This footage of Baldwin rushing and berating everybody on set is very damning imo
The only question is why was there live ammo anywhere near the set?
See how Baldwin is so arrogant and he’s rushing the crew. This is why the safety checks were not getting done properly. he should be held criminally held liable for the whole thing.
He was pointing with the revolver with his finger on the trigger!

Every single person that works professionally in film should watch this trial in its entirety.
I would agree with you or at least anyone who ever touches a gun for any reason on a set not just those whose roles require them to touch a gun.
This is so shocking, but so so so so so true!
Remember, Alec Baldwin is pro-gun control legislation. Just not when HE has the gun.
WHERE did the live rounds come from and WHY were they ON set anyway?? Lots of questions still to be answered,
Why would you think that mattered?
Why would you think it doesn’t?? I suppose YOU can close the case now because you obviously have all the answers. Please! Fill us all in!

As well as whatever this court decides.
then she is incapable of completing her role.
She actually didn’t hand him the gun. It’s been clear the other guy did.
