There is a lot of clones the Ali clips screw holes are too small for. I have a tapered Dremel reamer bit that works wonderfully. You don't have to use a Dremel even. I just put it in a drill and it makes easy work of it.
I put new ceramic detents in all my spyderco knives. All real spyderco knives come with steel detents. It can make a huge difference all the way to doing nothing at all. It depends on the knife.
I have to reuse the screws every time with every clip I have bought on AE. And yes you will need to make the holes a little larger. Not really a big deal. Drill or dremel will get the job done..
The pocket screws on the clone Spydercos are M2.5 usually. Most of the body screws are as well. Just get yourself a tapered dremel reaming bit. Doesn't need to be name brand. Put the bit in a drill and problem solveded.
You should have an affiliate link for skiffs, or maybe it is, i don't know. Got my OKK "shaman" need to install the skiffs in it, otherwise I really like it.
Thanks. It's not an affiliate link. I just recommend them anyway because they're good. But I do track how many people click on the link for my own curiosity.

FYI, Asian made knives use metric screws/fasteners and American made knives use SAE screws/fasteners. If your knife is a clone of an American made knife made in Asia it will be metric. American designed knives made in Asia will use metric. Hope this helps.
@@TCCBLADES I have a couple of dozen Spyderco knives made in Golden Colorado U.S.A and they have SAE standard 2-56 screws holding the pocket clips on, that is not a metric screw.

Calm yourself, broski. Why would you watch a hobby channel with content that upsets you? There are a million knife channels, and you pick one of the very very few that covers clones.. knowing they upset you? Weird.
I drilled out the holes in the titanium clip I bought its not a big deal , but yes Spyderco uses a smaller diameter screw in their clips .

Can't believe you said " balls" that many times without giggling. You're a better man than I.
😂😂
I've successfully swapped the deep carry clip on this one, Fits perfect and works better than on the PM2 clone
did you have to drill the holes to widen them? Or did your screws fit?
@@BladesOnABudget Sorry, I lied, I did drill the holes to make them a little bigger. It's been a long time.
I got my Titanium clips for Rock Jumper and Endurance 4 from Amazon for $12 and they came with screws and fit perfect😊
I guess maybe if the knife wasn't a replica it might have worked. 😂 🤷♂️
Ya i had to burr open the holes on a ti clip to get it to fit on my yojimbo 2.
Yep. That's up next. Thanks!
I love skiffs. Made my smock perfect
me too. 👍

Most US knives use sae and the clones are usually metric. Unfortunate because similar threads would have helped me more than once.
But its a Chinese replica knife with Chinese pocket clip. You'd think that they should match up. 😂 🤷♂️

Yep. I may do a short little video and ream out those holes with a dremel to get the original screws to fit. thanks!

No respectable company would ever associate with this channel that promotes fake knives

Al spyderco knives, most knives US or foreign us metric because it makes for much tighter tolerances and more accurate fit

first
Do you use real skiff bearings or do you buy fake Chinese rip off crap bearings to match the crap knives you have?
😂 Real skiffs.
instead of crying on the internet about something so minuscule you should go get a life bud
