An outdoor pool table is literally the worst idea in the world. You can't play when it's windy, raining, snowing, hailing, too bright, too dark, too hot, too cold, overly humid, etc etc etc.
Put it indoors.
The same could be argued about Table Tennis, but that doesn't stop it from being one of the most popular ways to play the game! Outdoor tables have their place. That aside, if the idea of playing outdoors doesn't appeal to you, then there is always the option of getting an indoor table. (Of which there is a much more extensive range to choose from)
Most people don't have room for one in the house, if its outside just put a Casebo over it and it should be fine when playing. I have an 8ft snooker table in the garden, I didn't pay much for it and its quite old so don't mind it being outside. Its been out in the garden over a year and guess what, its still ok! still plays fine. It stays covered over winter and when not in use.
good option when theres no room indoors for it, weather does restrict play but building log cabins or extensions on your home costs money, build a gazebo type shelter over the table and fit lights to it will mean you can play in rain, when its dark or too bright plus its a hell of a lot cheaper than building a log cabin etc
As Above, spot on,Tables will be expanding/contracting due to weather conditions, why would anyone want to play an indoor game outside!? Darts & pool are inside pub/club entertainment with a pint or whatever you fancy, just not the same out in the open..

Good idea outside. Can't stand it when pool tables or even snooker tables are installed in a room with no cue clearance on at least one side. Then you're stuck trying to avoid a wall which obviously isn't possible
plywood .. why not build it out of upvc (plastic) which doesnt rot at all, like they do with windows & fascia boards these days as they dont rot like wood.
Pvc can crack from impact of jumping balls . im sure u mean slate .

So that's how the top opens and thats what the holes are for underneath. Very nice.
