It's suprising to see a video on my home town. I didn't realize people actually cared about my city. Thanks for the video!

Very pretty area, reminds me a little of Newport, Rhode Island.

Too bad you didn't get to see the Anchorage or go to the Lafayette Hotel, those are worth seeing and the side doors of St. Mary are usually unlocked , at least they use to be, but you wouldn't know that. St. Mary is a very beautiful church. Nice to see videos of my town. You need to come back.

Too bad they didn't allow pictures inside the Castle. It's extremely foolish to think that will lose them business. It would actually encourage customers. Tourists search online for attractions. We were just in Marietta and missed the Castle; no online content, no visit.

Marietta has a lot to offer for a small town . Too bad you could not get more video of the church.

It's odd seeing the town from a tourist pov. You kinda get used to all of it

Nice little travel vid covering the pretty stuff in Marietta, but PLEASE don't use the word "historical" if you're not even going to talk about the history or visit the actual historical places in Marietta. After all, it is the MAIN reason to visit Marietta. Such rich history there that's being forgotten because no one seems to want to focus on it. Can't tell you how many of these videos I've watched and the real history of Marietta is completely skipped over. I recommend you do more research before you go somewhere because you missed SO much, here.

You are correct. We had a hotel stay on Marietta. However the main reason was to visit the mothman festival. I really do want to come back and focus completely on your city.

@@thegreatindoorswithedandmi7880 Thank you, but it's not my city. I've never been there, but several of the founding fathers are my ancestors. Gen. Rufus Putnam and Salah Bosworth are both my 6X great-grandfathers. Manasseh Cutler and a few lesser-known ones are related on my dad's side, though I haven't worked out all the details in my genealogical research yet. So I've read a LOT about this city and really hope I can go visit very soon. It may look like just another pretty little midwestern town on the surface, but It's a truly amazing place once you know the history. Before you go back I highly recommend reading David McCullough's book, The Pioneers. These men were contemporaries and friends of George Washington and Benjamin Franklin and every bit as important in the formation of this country. I hope you enjoy going back!
