In conversation with my mom, she told me my grandfather worked clearing the trees through the CCC group. He stayed in Wausau all week, then travelled home for the weekend!
Granite Peak is decent but a day pass is too much. However, night skiing is a good value. Cheaper Tix and thinner crowds. The only day skiing UmI do therev is on my Indy Pass and mid week. Good video -- some interesting content, well edited, and some good skiing and riding cinematography.
Great video, have skied there numerous times over the decades. Unlike many Midwest resorts, as you point out, they actually reinvested a lot of money this century for better lifts and more terrain. It's great. I need one of those 300 ft vert hats!
great Video! You guys should do a trip to Michigan at some point. Boyne Mountain, Nubs Nob, and Boyne Highlands are all pretty good and are all within 30 minutes of each other. plus Boyne Mountain has a lot of history, with parts of the worlds first ski lift still running today and the worlds first quad lift
Its a destination resort like a destination kwik trip is a place to fill up the tank.
yes you should go cheek out my channel for more granite peak vids
This is so cool! I didn't know much of this history!
Tons of history there :)
