I had a chance to spend 6 months in Wausau as a travel nurse, and found that Wausau has way more to offer the sportsman (huntin’, fishin’, drinkin’, yeah..) and much less to offer the adventurer, but if you were only there for long enough to shoot this video, I could see where some might think this is a choice destination. Rib mountain can only be hiked so many times until it’s old news. Some of the canoeing and kayaking is excellent but when you compare it with other areas in Wisconsin that offer either the same, or better, I don’t think Wausau has anything here to go out of your way for in my opinion. The biking was okay, but again, compared to other parts of Wisco, it’s just alright. Nice having ski runs in town for the winter season. Mad love and respect for the Hmong community.
