I have two 2007 Toyota highlander‘s. Both of these exhibited the same problem with the radio volume knob. We were able to resolve this issue in a few seconds.

Just bought an 07 hilux workmate (Australia) and was told the stereo volume was no good, just did this and it's now fine! Thankyou random youtuber 💓 💖 💕

Wow....you saved the day....I have a 2007 Toyota Corolla....got in my car and sound from the radio was very low....Went to make it louder and volume button wasnt working....tried what you said today and boom....worked like a charm....THANK YOU SOOO MUCH

Cool, and I know using the plastic long tubing provided with the spray bottle you have, will work better ! My fix years ago, i had no need to spray over all the radio.
Sorry this didn’t work for you. No doubt you have a more serious problem than dirty pots. One of my radios quit working a few weeks ago. I pulled the fuse but it looked good so I put it back in. Works fine now. A little corrosion I guess. Wish you the best
