Goodbye Loki

  • Part of the journey is the end...it's a lesson I believe I'm not sure Marvel has retained even though they were the ones that taught the lesson with the end of the Infinity Saga. Loki changed that perception though. Loki was the goodbye I think we all needed to see and even if it's the only goodbye we'll get from the MCU, I was happy it was with one of the best characters in the MCU.

"Or character assassinate him so some cheap knock off can take his place" that, that right there hurt me especially because this is almost exactly what happened to Thor. The God of Thunder was reduced to a bumbling idiot who's a dad for no reason. Meanwhile his brother became the king he always wanted to be while sacrificing the friendships he needed all along. Both deserved to be kings man

The worst thing is Loki from that time line is still dead, pdobably will stay dead until someone takes pity on our souls and brings him back which is unlikely. And the TVA version got a throne forced on him when all he wanted was to live peacefully with his friends. I hate what Marvel shows and movies had becomr

Coming from someone that barely knows much about the MCU. I've only seen parts of a couple movies, but I really loved the Loki series. That end had me in tears and I didn't have 14 years of built up expectations. Tom is a great actor. Great endings are rare for sure. Bad ones are worse than no ending through.

i remember watching loki s2 as it came out with low expectations and being so, so incredibly surprised by the ending. It felt like a real story, which is so rare in this environment.

you talking about how corporations don't let things end made me think of the ending of a speech at the end of season five of supernatural by god/chuck. "no doubt, endings are hard. but nothing really ends. does it?". it used to give me comfort but since watching your video and now thinking of how in later seasons he morphed into a stand-in for the cw... it's now not as comforting. they had that show going for 15 years.
and while I would have preferred a different ending for Loki, it at least ENDED during a time it was loved instead of beating it into the ground.

Everything that lives must eventuelly die. Everything that’s created must eventually be destroyed. Because only through death can something be reborn.

See me after the Multiverse Saga ends and before the Mutant Saga begins. Then we'll decide what's truly content and what's truly a story.
