im just going to say it. Great video! exactly what i was looking for , no other video shows this. but this video was authentic and showed exactly how to run wire between joists and through joists. great job!!
Can you use a smaller copper wire ? Since you are using LED lights. Someone told me that in new constructions people are using a very thin wire. Since the don’t draw much energy. So you don’t have to spend more money on 14 or 12 wire ? Thanks
When you drill through floor Joists you weaken the joist. There are building codes involved in where those holes can be drilled, (distances to load bearing wall that joist sits on as well as not having the hole too near the edge or notching.) A floor joist failure is catastrophic.

On the hole saw, go with a 6" or 6-1/4" ?
1/4
Smaller the better
Great video!
how do you know if there is anything between those joists?
oh sorry, finished the video
Great job
Please help me. I love doing things like this I have a room that needs lighting and maybe a ceiling fan.
That doesn’t look like a box rated for fan and so many wires !1
Vid with no shortcuts, has a shortcut of power from a fan
Blindly drilling...I'd be careful with that. No electrician will ever do that in their right mind

Nice video but I’m stuck in a pickle still.
