🐅 💪 woohoo. It’s Tiger’s Time. GREAT video, and yup I learned a lot. I preordered the US year of the Tigers… BUT you know that I am keen on getting China’s issue ASAP. The breakdown of the zodiac circles was super helpful. Thanks Richard!
Thanks a lot, Graham; your Chinese Zodiac Stamps video was a great inspiration for me. I told you the story of me and the red monkey stamp, and now I shared it with more people.
What an awesome video! Chinese New Year stamps are so special to me because 2020 was the year of the rat and my year so I decided to buy the stamps. Those stamps introduced my to stamps and sparked my love of philately. My stems and branches year is 3-I (Rat) because my birthday is December 1996. I have always wished I was the year of the dragon or horse because I like those animals better but I have grown to like my rat. Thank you for making such an informative and pretty video, I love learning about the Chinese New Year stamps and the China Post! 🐁🎆
Great video and very informative! I liked your story too about that awkward moment with the stamp dealer 😂. I'm a snake, and I'm this! 己巳! Also, does this have anything to do with the elements? I am an "Earthly snake" ⛰️🐍
Thanks, Lisa. To be honest I don’t know fortune telling by the stems-and-branches element 😅. I can’t tell you what is 己巳 means to you. Snakes are said to be sensitive, active, efficient, quick to respond, effective, clever and intelligent, and be very assertive. I think you’re this kind of person😉
happy New Year holidays to you. greetings from Krasnoyarsk, the capital of Siberia. I accidentally saw your channel about postage stamps . I also collect postage stamps of Russia and the world, I really liked your channel.
Hi Richard, nice and interessing video 👏It’s really good to know more about stamps for other culture. I was born during the pig year 🤭 Happy new year, I hope you will make a lot of new videos 😃
Hi Richard! Thanks for the great video, very informative. My husband, Eddy, and I live in Australia. We collect the Christmas Island Lunar New Year FDCs and philatelic numismatic covers every year; you might like to check them out if you haven’t already - they’re pretty cool! Sadly, we don’t have any of the original Chinese stamps, but hope we can get some in the future. Look forward to more videos 😊
Thanks for watching, Mookat. I heard about the Christmas Island Lunar New Year stamps but I don’t have any, but I will look into them. Maybe, I will get some.
Hello Richard. Best wishes for the new year. Thank you very much for this interesting and very informative video that you have prepared and of course for sharing your funny personal story. I have to admit that even if I have some Chinese zodiac stamps in my collection I have never read or found more information about them. I was born in 1989, so I think I am a snake. From the Chinese stamps I have shown a great interest about Literature and Poem stamps, I have some full sets from the period 2016-2021 and they are all really great. I also lately understand the little numbers on the bottom of each stamp, they are really helpful to organize the stamps. I am really looking forward to watch your next videos related to Chinese stamps.
Thank you, Prodromes for your continuing support. You’re probably a Snake😅, double check the list if you were born in January or early February. I will make a video of the codes but not my next video. It’s a little complicated 😅
Another very good video. How about explaining the culture of stamp collecting in China? I visited China in 2016 to meet friends. One took me to the Harbin Stamp exchange I found it a revelation to find that stamps were only collected mint, and that they were thought of as an investment.
Thanks for watching Philip. I’m not so familiar with the stamp collecting culture in China since I wasn’t serious in philately when I was in China. But I know some Chinese friends who just collect used stamps and covers. But I’m happy to explore this topic.😁
Hello Richard , very interesting video , I am a Rabbit ( 12 December 1963 ) , Chinese stamps are really beautiful , I have some including the year of the horse of 2014 , now I want to collect them all. In regard to the classification it is similar to the Japanese New year stamps, you could see it in the Japanese Sakura Catalog ( I think Korean stamps too , but not sure ). Keep the awesome work , and best wishes for this New Year.
Hey..what's up doc? 🐰🥕🥕🥕😂, ok so I'm December 1975, so that makes me the Rabbit?.. Is it not the year of the Rabbit now? What does it mean if it's your year and should I be aware of anything as a rabbit and it being my year as well?

Yes, still the year of the Tiger until tomorrow 😄. I cannot tell you what should you be aware of. I’m not an expert in that area😅.
