i dont know who u r sir but your video was short, criap,to the point and no lenghty talk....perfect n educational.....what do u think of VAMPIRES GAMBIT JALABAD BEEF EATER Have u tried em??? its from gothamchess,IM Levy. Please cover them in your style.
I play this all the damn time. This trap doesn’t happen too much. I just tried the original Blackmar gambit trap, and the first damn person I played fell for it. I like the knight out better in Blackmar-Diemer, but I’m playing the original variation now because more people go into the other trap.
@@ChessBootCamp no way, I play Qxf3. You’d be surprised how many people blunder and move the bishop to g4. Then queen takes pawn, they move knight d7, then you go knight b5. I get that line way more than the trap, but even then, most people won’t even take the free pawn after Qxf3... so I’ve been playing e4 on move two now because there is a different trap that more people go into (and knight takes f3 in that variation).
I play BDG, Nxf3 is clearly better, people don’t fall for this every time. Bd3,Qe1, Bg5, Qh4 buildup against the knight on f6 is natural and overwhelming
If the black Queen simply goes back to D8, the attack is dead. Sure, you're way ahead in development, but I'm not sure black is that bad off and you're down two center pawns.
@@ChessBootCamp hmmmmm......I mean you even said in the video at 5:49 : "...there are probably other squares the Queen could go to." Which one of us is counting on inaccurate play here?!?
@@MrYounis26 LMAO.....Black NEVER has to play into a gambit. With that said, my comment regarding the queen still stands. As I previously pointed out, he even said in the video there are other squares for the queen to move to. Moving it back to D8 avoids his line.
This video is letting the Blackmar Diemer gambit look like a trash one trick only gambit. One move 5 you should never capture with the queen, but with the knight. And only because your opponent was blind and low rated, he missed the most obvious mate in one. So as long as your rating is above 1000 you should play 5. Nxf3 instead of 5. Qxf3 , if you choose to play the Blackmar Diemer gambit!
I agree. This is a dirty, cheap trick and not actually the BDG proper. I think Gotham Chess has a very good video that explains the more principled theory.
@Chess Boot Camp @ Josh when blacks bishop is on f5 that's when you take f3 with the queen. It harasses b7, potentially castling rights and folk be sweating about that rook. They have to take the bishop back to b7 or you'll just snatch it up with the queen off the f file. I've seen high rated players actually put their queen on b7 to link the diagonal with their bishop. Real silly stuff. You pose questions to your opponents immediately with any line, you just gotta know theory, or better yet just be decent otb.
This is called "Halosar Trap"!
Yes, the BMD is just the first part.
How are there no comments on this video? I liked it. Thanks 👍
I guess it had not been out very long.
You spoke too soon, there are plenty of comments and likes.
Thats the ryder gambit variation when Qxf3 instead of the N. That stuff barely happens though.
Ah, thanks.
My bread and butter white opening for bullet
And I guess you get good results? Also handy against 1 e4 d5 (Scandinavian)

So you play the more solid Nxf3 instead of Qxf3?

It is quite easy to avoid all of this. If black plays e6 (French def) or c6 (Caro Kann) white will be in for a difficult positional game.
This can also be entered with e4 d5, d4 and e4 e6 d4,d5, Nc3 dxe4, f3
Yes, you can do it in response to the Scandinavian. It's one of my aggressive weapons.
What would you do if Qd7 were played instead of Qb4 at 3:05?
Timestamp?
@@ChessBootCamp added it now. Its the fifth move i think and its at 3:05
@@dkeisk I think bishop to d3 looks good, meaning you can still castle long and then move the bishop with a discovery against black's queen?
@@ChessBootCamp He updated with the timestamp. It looks to me like you just have to swap your rook for his queen and play a normal game after that.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
What is the best move for black after knight b5??
Knight to a6, according to the engine. Defends c7.
Brilliant
It's a peach, ain't it?
i enjoy this vid till my wife says, what kind nice deep man voice...

As with many traps, there are opportunities for the opponent to escape, but you're counting on inaccurate play.

You want to test out your theory against an experienced blackmar diemer gambiter?
