The omly plus I find on a privada is that they collect my deliveries and we have parking
Other than that ... i hate it. It feels like a fancy jail
I would rather be at the beach or in town where I can walk to the store

Although we are not living there yet, here is my 2 cents.
We have some friends that live in a couple of Privada’s and we visit and even stayed over at one of our friend’s house there for a couple nights. We loved it. So quiet.
In my opinion the Pros are:
    1. If you travel you lock up your house and go. It would seem to be peace of mind thinking your house & things are more protected. Since not just anyone can come into your community.
I would think chances would be lower for break ins. Lower opportunity.
    That is my assumption.
    2. The community is more apt to be kept up.
    3. It doesn’t seem you would have to worry about encountering uneven, cracked sidewalks when you want to go out and about on walks.
    4. Parks and Community areas provide a place to meet each other, or reserve the space to have parties if you didn’t want to host at your house.
    5. I would think it would prevent vendors or random people coming to your door asking for money.
    Some cons IMO:
    1. You might be vulnerable to increasing HOA rates. The cost might be affordable now, but what about 10 years from now. If you are on a fixed income this might be an issue.
    2. Feeling more isolated.
    3. Following rules or guidelines that might not be suited to your lifestyle.
These are just my random thoughts.

I love my privada! It will be 12 houses total. My neighbors are great. Our caretaker is a delight. We all have our own pools so no giant HOA fees. Ours includes maintenance of the yards, which is perfect for me.

There are definitely some nice Pros to living in a privada. But as with anything, it has to be what you are looking for. Go in with your eyes open and understand what you are signing up for when you move in.
The common area with the pool and exercise facilities was deserted! What time of day were you out there? Does it get more busy on the weekends?

That is a nice privada. I noticed some vacant lots there so more homes or other spaces can be added, that's nice, and it is so big! Oh, I live in Michigan and a few of our neighbors still have their Christmas lights up and turned on at night, lol.

    Hey neighbor
That area that is little below ground level is a yoga park.
I would be careful recording public videos in privadas and putting license plates & private property online. Yes you’re so right. Private and public laws are different.
Maybe we will see you around.

It seems quiet and peaceful. I love that the amenities are away from the houses. I dislike a bunch of party noise.
I wonder if its hard to get deliveries and emergency vehicles inside, since they have to go through a guard? But I like the security. In my neighborhood people posing as amazing drives with uniform and all stealing stuff. So i can see why security be sweating them.

Nice Privada. I think I even see some single story homes in there?
I wonder how often the HOA fees increase?

So...youre paying about 1,500 to live in a privada? wow!!! that's not including your outings...food and family needs...Yikes your'e spending a lot per month...So in order to live decent in Mexico you would have to be bringing in a min of 3,000 dollars a month in order to live decent!!! Maybe a single person can live on alittle bit less...I guess it all depends on where you choose to live and the amenities that they give you
