This video is proof positive that any of these offseason "sources" claiming the Colts are doing something are always false. They keep that building air tight.
Not to mention other teams, because of all the people pretending Levis would go 1, 2 and 4. I have done a lot of told ya so's after the first 4 picks.
And even with the heavily censoring, this series learns me more about how the draft and draft process goes at the hand of an NFL franchise with actual NFL scouts, GM's and coaches than anybody in the media pretends to know combined.
We’d have Jeff Saturday as HC/GM, and Will Levis at QB if it was up to the national media 😂

@@D71219ONE I’ve seen Colts staff and other scouts say that he has such a great route tree and advanced route running that they could line him up outside some. Don’t be surprised to see them use him all over the field.

That awkwardness and shyness Anthony showed when he first got to the Colts facility was all I need to see. Clearly a little awestruck and excited to be here in Indy and no signs of arrogance or cockiness. Agreed. This is the first time I saw him and heard him. Man I just like the kid. You could see him light up when Jim said a lot of kids need him as an good example. I feel like he knows he’s not perfect but willing do work to get better everyday. Even if he fails it will be hard to not like him as a person I feel.

I had the same reaction when I watched the draft, got pretty scared, especially after the Titans rumors, then felt incredible relief when I saw it was Houston.

I had goosebumps watching this whole episode. I can tell you this, Josh Downs is going to ball tf out. He looks ready and you can tell he has an absolute chip on his shoulder to be recognized as one of the best WRs if not the best in this draft.
That's exactly the vibe i got from him. He is so fired up, and the colts are lucky he fell to them.

"If he's going to be a superstar, he's going to be a superstar for the Colts." I'm perfectly okay with this mentality, Levis may have been the safer pick and this could all blow up in their face, but if you get this right.. and he can develop his natural gifts.. he's the type of athlete that can carry a franchise and create a dynasty. Should be fun to watch him develop.. I hope the gamble pays off.

Agreed. Best part is we have 5 years to work with. The defense is already complete. Ebukam and Ade Ade should significantly improve our pass rush. Losing Gilmore hurt, but something tells me Brents/Rush/Jones will fill our secondary nicely.
So AR has a top 5 defense, a solid WR core in MPJ, Pierce, Downs and some dangerous TEs in Woods, Granson and possibly Mallory with his 4.5 speed. Oh and the absolute stud we have behind AR who happens to runs a 4.3 and made Carson Wentz's job very easy.
I think AR's running ability alone could get us a division title. Once he improves his accuracy, it will be game over.
If Levis was a safer pick, he would have been picked in the first round for a shot to exercise the fifth-year option instead of the option to pass quickly on him in the following round.

I am a Buffalo fan and I said the exact same thing about the Bills picking Allen! It was a home run swing and I respected it. Allen was considered a long shot (not saying Richardson is) but if he hit, his ceiling was unreal. Thankfully he’s developed into one of the better QBs in the NFL. I think Richardson has that same type of ceiling. I can’t exactly say I am rooting for that to happen, though 😂

Chris Ballard is such a great evaluator. Him, Ed Dodds, and Marraco are such a good team. I will be sad to see Ed Dodds and Marraco leave to GM their own teams one day.
Huge kudos to the Colts staff that put this together. Being out-of-state, things like this really help give me a connection the team I just don't get not being local any longer. Very, very nice job crew. Hit me right in the feels, and even if none of the picks work out, these guys are amazing and I love how we get to see this side of the process.
One million percent agree with you there. Being an out of state fan of any team can make people feel disconnected, but the Colts make it easy to keep being a fan when they give us access to things like this.
Houston was the Colts' biggest benefactor this offseason, starting with the last game of the year. I just want to sincerely thank Houston Texans mgmt for allowing the Colts to get a chance to develop never before seen traits at the QB position. On one hand you got your quarterback of the future AND you also got a potentially generational talent on the edge, effectively installing cornerstones on both sides of the ball. Kudos to you. That was a bold move for your the future of your franchise. However, in your haste to improve yourself you have allowed your division rival and daddy Colts to take the big swing and have a draft unlike any ever before it. That's what it's going to take to beat Mahomes or Allen or even Lawrence in our own div. It's going to take something you've never seen before. And the Colts have drafted just exactly that, at the most important position in sports, all thanks to you. Good luck on your season, friends in Houston. And sincerely, thank you.

Everyone has their favorite parts but I loved them showing the combine at 26:36. It was beautiful and it shows up and coming tackles what to potentially look for when it comes to the questions these teams will ask when you have those short sit down interviews. You can always be told what happens but a lot of guys are visual learners so that was incredible. I wanna see more combine stuff in the future

Some people have it in their eyes...their mannerisms. Josh is going to DESTROY defensive schemes. He'll be in the slot so much causing havoc; and once Dcoords play their hand, Steichen will line him up on the outside with a QB than can spin the ball 75 yards downfield with ease. Going to be a very fun year to watch this start to unfold.

Thank you for the insight. Excellent scouting, “this guy makes you cover every blade of grass.” Perfect situation for a young QB. Run a lot to setup deep shots on play-action, control the clock, defense got all-pro’s, sky’s the limit. Colts football is going to be exciting!

His footwork and consistent accuracy is what he needs to get better at then he's good.
I remember telling dudes when the Levis news started leaking that it is was intentional. Why? Because why would we leak information about who WE actually wanted while there was a 99.9% chance that the team right in front of us was going to trade their pick. If someone actually traded to get in front of us and took Levis we woulda pulled the ultimate chess move.

i agree. it's potentially a good draft. if AR-5 falls flat by year 2/3, that will hurt,,,,,but Steichen and the other coaches will know if he cannot pick things up quickly or if it just doesn't feel right year 1, that way they can make an informed decision on another QB in next years draft. Steichen has already said that he doesn't know which way the new QB picks up on things, .....(verbal, pictorially, etc.)..... so he's already ran into a small snag it seems like. But he will figure out which way AR-15 likes to absorb material and use that to channel information to this young, bright, shining light. He's the hope of the franchise right now.
