Just for the record. When our 1st battery came to the end of its life we purchased the best acid leisure battery we could find. That was 2018. We are out wild camping any time of the year. We have no solar panel. We are normally out for 7/8 mths during the year. We have never had any problems with the battery going flat. Also the traction battery is original 2016 acid battery. Never a problem. Having said all this I now expect all hell will be let loose. The big difference here is we live in Spain and travel in Spain, Portugal and southern France. What a difference warmer climes make on battery life.
Well I could be well out of date on standard batteries. My experience with them stems from my caravan days and it was dismal. That was a long time ago though. We specced lithium in our little van so we have never had a normal battery to test. 👍
I had a 80ah lithium (LiFeP02) in my NV200 and that was excellent. Only problem with lithium is it should not be charged in extreme cold weather. I would like a lithium in my new campervan.

I tried to part exchange my campervan a 2 year old low mileage Hillside VW Birchover and no one wanted it, or would give very little towards the new purchase.
We have already recorded the answer to this for a future video. We will try and sell it privately. If it is not sold by the time the new van is ready we will part exchange it.

I used to live in a one room apartment and am friends with the couple that lived there before me. We laugh at the remembrance of having to go sit in the car if you got mad at your partner. Y'all are already In the car. What do you do when you get cross with each other?

We swapped to lithium and increased the size of our solar panel and it really was a game changer 😊

Hi Carol and Ken, can you go back to Bilbo and specify a Lithium Polymer battery. It’s the newer type and has a longer life taking more charges.
