I recently learned that Pedro Pascal suffers from anxiety and I really hope they worked that aspect of him into reed. I don’t know much about the subject but I know a lot of people suffer from it and it would be nice for those people to have someone like reed so they can go “if Reed Richards can deal with it so can I”. In the video I saw about this Pedro was feeling anxious in an interview and Vanessa Kirby was quietly and subtly making him feel more comfortable, and that’s the kind of thing I wanna see of them as a couple and as a family. Always there for each other.
I’m confident that they’re going to do the Fantastic Four right this time. The director has said he was a big fan of the F4 growing up and whenever he talks about it he seems very passionate. The best adaptations are done by those who truly love and understand the source material. I always supported Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards even before he was officially announced. TBH I would have preferred a less known actor in the role and any of the rumored castings would have been great too (Dev Patel particularly). But Pedro Pascal is more than capable of playing a definitive Reed Richards. I always use the example of Daniel Craig as James Bond or Robert Pattinson as Batman as proof we should reserve our final judgments for when the movie comes out and we see the vision.
If this movie manages to hit the tone for the FF the same way Ryan North has been absolutely BRILLIANT with the super-science-family-havin'-adventures-and-pairing-off-every-other-issue approach in the current comics run, FF:FS could be something special.
I ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ the Fantastic Four! But not near as much as big Kev does. They're his all-time favorite. Feige has known how to do the FF right for decades, and now is finally his chance. FIRST STEPS will blow everyone away. No question.
I hope spidey(any spider-man) get a visit at their baxter looking for a job(continuing no way home in a sense) and will cement Johnny and Peter relationship.
FF have been one of my biggest blindspots in reading. I know more than casual fans, but I haven't read much of their solo stuff. If you don't mind, do you have any good runs you could recommend?
I started with Ryan North’s currently ongoing run back in 2022 before branching off into different runs of the past and honestly I think I’d start there. It’s a great re-introduction without relying on too many past stories
I did enjoy in the movie when sue sandwiched Reed and turned the force fields around so he was facing her. That's about the most versatile they made her powers in the movies.
I really hope the end credits we see the TVA show up and have OB tell the Fantastic Four that he needs help building a ship that will survive the incursions and he'll just say "I need some assistance for this project because... the multiverse is dying" I really want OB to show up again in some way and it'll be insane if he makes an interaction with Thunderbolt Ross as it'll be a small reunion with Indiana Jones and Short Round
I agree with most points but I still don't vibe with the "Galactus wins" ending. I get why people see it as a shocker, but I don't think it shuld be made for a first film. The core mantra of the team is "no problem is unsolvable", so having them lose right away might convey a wrong idea to audiences, and the talk by the crew of how the film is an ode to 60's optimism makes me think they won't go for it. Plus, most people appear to wish for that ending only as a bridge to the Avengers duology, and I'd like for the film to remain fairly isolated (besides talks of the multiverse and RDJ's Doom making a cameo)
Almost every reason you give is why I am on defense on this movie, and I am a big fan of the FF. I wish they could do a movie more in line with the Lee-Kirby run or even John Byrne run, but I am afraid they will take a more modern and shitty route. We will see. I don't trust in the MCU in general now. They need to earn the fans' trust now.
Nah. I don't trust marvel anymore. This should have been done after endgame. Instead they chose to focus on nothing characters and telling everyone who pays them how much they suck. Pascal is a sack of trash and doesn't deserve to play Reed.
Superman and Fantastic Four 2 weeks apart will be insane
legit is gonna be the best month ever for nerds
It’s so unfortunate Superman will have to compete with a movie that’ll clearly wash it in box office
Oh yeah July is going to be a big mouth for Super Hero movies
@@smoovenorrisThe MCU is a joke now, nobody had faith in this.
Superman is gonna blow F4 out of the water
“Mr Fantastic can stretch himself too thin” You thought we wouldn’t spot that. Well we did.

I know exactly what you're talking about! I think it would be such a cool detail to tie into his personality and make other people feel seen
I've never read anything about the Fantastic Four and know nothing about them but this video made me really excited about the upcoming movie
Then I've done my job!
I need to see this new Fantastic Four bond with Tom Holland's Peter Parker before they interact with any other superhero.

I was also campaigning for Dev! But Pedro will absolutely kill it
i always saw Ben Grimm as the fun uncle
THIS IS ACCURATE
I cant wait to see Pedro Pascal to play Reid. He's one of my favorite actors, ever.
@@ThatGuyGloomy *Reed not Reid
awful casting

The North Run is my favorite ongoing right now, I adore it so much
The fact we are getting both Franklin Richards and Valeria Richards in this movie is really awesome.
So glad that we’re finally seeing them!
@ I am glad too
They're such key parts of the mythos it's insane they haven't been adapted yet
@kadegetslaid634 indeed it's insane we haven't seen them in a adaptation.
@@TevyaSmolka this true?

Nice one
Can’t wait to see the first trailer at the super bowl, it’s gonna be so hype. Also i’m glad you spoke about herbie at the end lol
HERBIE should always be spoken about!
I love you whole shebang!!!

I'm becoming increasingly confident that you are a Weekly Wackadadoo
Grab dat gem
the fantastic four might be the most disrespected team in all of comics
Love what you said about Sue!
Loved Ebon in The Bear, not only is the guy perfect for the job but he's also funny when he needs to be like Ben

Bro, with your description of Reed, you are describing a very smart autistic person (compliment)
Reed is basically autistic in all but canon and I really hope they make it official one day
22:16 Someone saw Galactus and said, “Man. Green Lantern should fight him!” And Bang. ANOTHER superhero hit.
Cannot wait this fantastic 4
Wow... This is so good. Never read comics like that. But you're explanation was so good, i already fall in love with these characters

I want to see a Hanukkah party between The Thing, Moon Knight, and Peter Parker.
Peter Parker isn't Jewish tho? Aside from certain versions of his character
Im so glad someone else understands how much the maker ruined the public's perception of Reed Richards
