I am a from Kenya and i was in high school during the pick of the Chimora songs. I keep on rewinding this song though i don’t understand the language but it gave me a relaxed mind. I love the song up to now when i have my first born who is 25 years old. Old is truly gold.
This song is reminding me of those old days when a lot of people were innocent, visiting relatives was a hobby unlike nowadays - Each man for himself and God for us all principle is being practiced by almost all families. Jesus help us.
When l listen to this song, l really reflect way back when we used to celebrate Xmas together ❤️ but these days, greediness has separated us all where our kids may not even welcome some other relatives and friends.
There's something about this track.. ..something rather 'sacred'. ..it's one of 'them' songs that somewhat brings sadness and tears to my eyes. ..'and these were the days of our lives!' ...an excellent track indeed and thanks for uploading!
......wonderful and heart healing songs from South Africa....and gives a very soft memory of over thirty years ago....I was listerning such great songs while in Songea, United Republic of Tanzania....the lands of Kilimanjaro, Serengeti and Zanzibar....
Thanks for the availability of this song. I can tell you this song is one of a kind. There won't be anything like this good in a long time. Yes I grew up listening to this and other like Tanzanian women and Faroh and many more. Thanks to everyone for thus song.
Gone are the days early 1990s, i remember my late Daddy used to like this song sooo much, was listening to it in his vehicle and he could line us up to dance on this song in the evening and he could give the winner much money. It brings me good and bad memories, wooow chimora
These ladies were a gem to listen to. They take me way back in time in the 90s when musik was real including the Zimbabwe radio stations. Radio 2 had the likes of "The General" Eric Knight, Ezra "Tshisa" Sibanda, Brenda Moyo, "Lady Reee" Regina Nyirenda, Nonceba Mnkandhla, Gift Msipa, Joe Mukaronda etc. The djs list is endless. Any one with info about their girls names & whether they are still alive. They made our days!
That is perfect song for ever in my life, I remember in the year 1992 we listen it make me cry because of that life and I compare this season we are now very different
1990 I was doing std 9 (grade 11) when this track started we use to jump to the dance floor without invitation and dance until we are drenched in sweat....a poor "spantsula" those days will never never never come back life was very simple...29/12/2023.
@@lumadedem.imeldanyarengine3591 Its always a great album to get the entire songs done by by4, chimora and penwell kunene. I can drive for long and not even get tired.
This track sometimes would play from a Tempest Radio cassette connected to PM 10 battery placed not far from the touch line that time we are very busy in the soccer field we play all out.. this track lifts our spirits as we compete in the field and supporters are dancing and times shouting our names...that was 1990/91...note made on Sat 30/12/2023
I really think back to my school days, when my father was busy suffering about about my school food from the call erindi. Today is called erindi private game reserve.
I love these tracks a lot but I have always wondered what instrument produces the prominent base sound? eg at 0:22 ; is it just drums and guitars? Were they special types of drums? During live shows, did this instrumental come out this well?
i attended a Chicco/Chimora show in Zim in 1989.The instruments are as you would be hearing the song play.I guess it was shear talent coz there was no other extras that you would find...just your drums, keyboards and guitars...sheer talent i tell you.
It's just a guitar but a special one. It's a type of Bass Guitar. When you see it, you won't believe that it is the one which is producing that sound unless you know already lol... South Sudanese use it in their church.

I enjoy these songs and makes me recall my youthful stage when I was a D.J in my village Mbunga Kilembe copper valley. Braval to the singers.
