I was born in 95 but there is something unique about tge 80s. Seem like everything was pure and the music is best and no vulgar or drugs just good rhythm and melody
Condry ziqubu is the legend in South African music.i like the drum beats and that mild touch of african drums.1990s music was superb but now days music is all about making fame and money but not entertaining like the oldies music ones of 80s to late 200s.
Hey 80 was bad, there was a smell of teargas all over even in class, we used to have soldiers guarding every school in Soweto and many students disappeared from the face of the Earth...the likes of Stanza Bopape, Mbuyani.....etc.
OMG. Reminds me of my late elder bro. Henry RIP. This used to play before the real movies like Delta Force 1 by Chuck Norris could start that was in Elgon cinema in Mbale UG in the..80's. Great memories..
not South Africa but West Central Africa. We headed South and you guys East hence there's some similarities in our languages. From the song the word nyama (for meat) is the same in all Southern African languages including Burundi, Rwanda and Congolese Lingala despite being spelt differently in others such as niama in Lingala.

When life was lived like there was no tomorrow, the kitchen parties, discos, concerts etc. Greatest song indeed!!!
At times it's difficult to understand how they managed to produce such memorable songs amid grand scale apartheid policies.
They made it against all odds Jorge.
Young Boys don't believe am old even though am bit young for such song but I grew up listen to such music le ma linara
Do you remember how we used to sing it in luganda? Ekappa eridde enyama yange! 😂😂 similar words and the same meaning.
