Do spears still have bonus dmg against ships? Sounds like it's something useful in maps like map 2 if they still have. Also, yes people go CA all over the place because the unit is way too good, has been for too long, but devs never nerf things that should be nerfed
map spoilers in comment --- evacuation is really becoming my most hated map really quick, i used to love watching it but every single game feels exactly the same to me now... i dont know, ive seen it played too much perhaps, its not that the map plays slow or has uninteresting fights or railroaded units, but the overarching strategy feels too railroaded. you start middle, you go early to woodline, fires on water to block the straights and after some point whoever manages to push on outside or deny the outside wins and the rest of the map feels mostly irrelevant after castle age, which i realize is not exactly early game but still, if you dont make it there you just lose it feels like, im sure theres games proving one can win from middle? but vast majority of games go like that... id really love if the map had more sideobjectives or a bit more alternatives to just doing this. maybe islands in the edges with 10-20 gold and stone tiles but no wood, maybe a relic island with some beasts in the "middle-edge" of the water. even a single additional (uncrossable by navy? so its harder to block access) bridge in the middle could spice it up for me, maybe the outside gets so thin at some point that you can tower the enemy navy off. or put beasts on the lush island so players have to commit army or navy and fight to go over and the threat of your enemy killing your woodline is bigger because you arrive later but you also build up defences there faster. i dont *really* know, i dont even play AoE2 because i dont own it yet, ive just watched a hundred videos by now... and evacuation i just dont enjoy for some reason anymore... completely open to being told how wrong i am, ive seen some fun games on this map aswell, but i just see it now and go "ugh" :/

Damn, this was the most one-sided series in all of TTL4 so far. Feels kind of bad but also speaks for the quality of the other series.
